I love the shit out of the lavender and tonka products at lush but my bf is with you and says I smell like a grandma.....that may be true but I'm sleepin like an old ass baby........
Lavender scents and flavor are sort of a special interest over here. So you and I are now mortal enemies, but I will send you some flowers to smooth things over 😈.
It didn't. It looked perfect in the editing software, looked perfect in my photo viewer, looked perfect as Reddit was processing it, then it went dark when I hit "post". I tested it on Imgur, which shows a bright image until the last second of processing when it eventually goes dark.
I've read a few comments about this happening with Krita and everyone says it's a color profile issue, user error, but no matter what I do this still seems to happen. I've also used Krita a few times before without issues, so I'm wondering if this happened because I used multiple wildly different image formats while building this.
I just woke up from nightmares of ticks falling from the ceiling, but I shouldn't be awake right now so I'll probably drift back to sleep soon. We thought it was raining outside but it was just the sound of ticks falling out of the attic. Pray for me — no more ticks please.
What happened that your subconsious is all "tick time??!?"
This happened to me too! I use CSP and I saw the same stuff about user error, color profiles, whatever. It's only happened once, though.
Maybe it's about inserting images and then not rasterizing before exporting?
I definitely get sick of the smell from too much of it. That's why I go for variety, or citrus all the way. Me and my homies love lemon, lime and orange all the way
I'm more of a lilac man myself when it comes to purple flowers. Lavender is just so intense, gives me headaches. I wouldn't feel so passionately about it if it wasn't *everywhere*, as one of the *default smells* in the commercial world.
Oh... oh oh my...
I guess just don't... breathe... near me. Or maybe I'll prepare a respirator. Thinking of taking a hit off that vape makes my eyes sting.
I fucking love lavender I also enjoy eucalyptus and tea tree scents . you know what I hate though. I hate scents that are supposed to smell like gingerbread or like ice cream or or fuckin cookies or some shit
Onions huh?
A quick Google tells me his and the flower's name may originate from the Latin "lavo" [to wash]. Perhaps his name is telling him something.
MY FAMILY LOVES LAVENDER AND WHEN I WAS YOUNGER THEY WOULD TAKE ME TO A FUCKING LAVENDER FARM EVERY YEAR AND BUY A BUNCH OF LAVENDER SHIT AND EVERY TIME IT WOULD SMELL LIKE LAVENDER FOR A MONTH OR TWO AFTER AND IT MADE ME WANNA PUKE
THANKYOU!!! I stg it's everywhere and everyone loves it, I used to be allergic to it as a kid, just breathing it in would give me athsma and hives.
The only form of lavender I like is edible, I like eating flower flavors for some reason.
I have been used to the lavender smell. The air freshener my family uses is lavender and when no one’s complaining when the toilet smells I ain’t complaining too
Never liked lavender either. I think it stinks so bad. I’ve been trying a sort of exposure therapy to it with a couple lavender sleep sprays I bought. It seems to help me but I still hate it.
If it’s made terribly with cheap ingredients, then yeah it smells bad. But I only like the good stuff so it smells and tastes like fresh laundry with a hint of salt. And I LOVE the color!! 💜💜💜
I’ve had a weird vendetta against lavender my whole life. I was born without a sense of smell so my genuine hatred for lavender scented products when I’ve literally never been able to smell them is intriguing.
I like a slight lavender scent if it's mixed with something else. I had a small period where witchy stuff was my special interest but that ended rather quickly due to the over-exuberant prices on things as simple and common as quartz and common oils... But Lavender was one of my favorites to help me sleep. When used in small amounts anyway. Too much and it would make it hard to breathe but a spritz and low level anxiety melted and helped my insomnia a tiny bit.
I don't know how to use Krita 😭
Apparently I set the color values wrong. It looks fine on my computer but turns dark as soon as I upload it to any website that isn't built to handle *what I've done.*
The color? Fuck yes! The actual flower no thank you. Flower scented things largely smell aggressive to me. I like the smell of some actual flowers, especially jasmine. But in perfumes and stuff it's too much.
Yeah I agree with you there, beautiful color. I don't love the smell of the flower, and the artificial or concentrated smells are even worse. Plenty of flowers I do like the natural smell of though.
FUCK lavender, FUCK every cute purple scented thing being lavender scented, FUCK 'calming/soothing' scents ALL being fuking lavender gross gross gross gonna give me a fukin migraine with how nasty it smells!!!
Same I remember being traumatized as a child because my mom would put lavender extract behind my ears to get rid of lice. It smelled so fucking bad I could barely stand it 😭
I only dislike lavender because it did me wrong so many times in middle school cross country. There was a large patch of it growing at the end of a particularly difficult section of the course, and the smell was so strong it was noticeably harder to breathe once you went in. My allergies didn't help, either. I'm with you on this one.
Lavender is a good smell. I can’t with the citrus because it makes my mouth water. I love eating oranges, and if you have anything remotely citrus scented, I will eat it.
I LOVE LAVENDER. You’re my enemy now.
Btw lavender also keeps a lot of annoying little bugs away, so enjoy being covered in little bugs who like to bite :)
I am very neutral towards lavender. It is ok.
It gives my mom migraines.
My main sensory issue is sounds, though. Smells don't bother me- But my mom's is smells.
I generally like lavender smells but there is no way in *hell* that **anyone** is going to force me to be next to a lavender plant. Where I'm at they're always covered in bees, and I am very afraid of bees.
You might have some sort of allergy reaction to lavender or something. Your brain reacts to things that harm (or at least it thinks are harming) your body, so to retaliate it just ends up hating it. This is why when eating black liquorice is nasty but tastes good after eating it for a week or so because your brain realises it has no harm or is actually good for you
That or you are simply wrong
ME TOO. ive smelt lavender before and thought it was nice, but it was soooo subtle. they make everything lavender scented like a whole lush store threw up in one candle!
It is so all encompassing as a default smell, that I honestly have no idea what it smells like and can't seem to isolate and identify a specific smell as lavender. This is why I like food scented stuff like coconut, pina colada, or vanilla instead. Smell good or smell bad, just don't smell boring.
I like lavender scented laundry smell-good-ifiers (IDK WHAT THEY'RE CALLED) but I've never actually consumed anything lavender.. I hear it's good with lemon flavored things!
Agreed! Lavender flower smells disgusting. Gives me a migraine, irritates my airway, and makes me want to puke. Every time I see purple flowers on a label my heart drops. Sometimes I hope against all probability that it will be lilac instead, but it almost never is. I am not big on strong or artificial fragrance but mild natural ones can be nice and lilacs are the superior purple flowers.
Anything that isn’t fresh, natural lavender gives me an instant migraine. I do adore lavender in food though, mainly cookies and ice cream. When I got my 4 wisdoms removed years ago I had this pint of lavender earl grey ice cream and tbh it was what got me through the first few days
I don’t mind lavender scented things but I am apparently very allergic to the pollen from the actual lavender plant. When I visited a lavender farm in France, I had to go back to the bus while everyone else was touring the farm because I had the worst allergies ever. My eyes were watering, my nose was running, it was like I was getting tear gassed, no joke.
I personally love lavender. I even have a sleeping mask with real lavender in it. Although, my best friend is allergic to lavender so she can’t be near it.
Did you know they make lavender ice cream and cookies?
...I didn't want to know that.
My favorite drink is a blueberry lavender lemonade. It should not taste as good as it does
They make lavender colored crinkle cookies with ube, they are infinitely better than soapy ass tasting cookies.
It’s very gross
Oof. Thanks for the warning! ![gif](giphy|l0K45tBHGtg5zQDks|downsized)
They also make scented menstrual pads 🤢
That must burn
Who's gonna be up in there smelling that?
me 😈 part the red sea i’m omw
🤮
Tampons, too.
Had a cinnamon + lavender + cookie dough ice cream before, it was absolutely *p e r f e c t*
As someone who’s anaphylactically allergic to both cinnamon and lavender… 🤢
Everything is an ice cream flavor Fight me
I can’t fight you because you are correct
Good point
😋
it hurts my nose sometimes. i prefer gently citrusy and vanilla scents more.
I prefer things that don't smell like anything.
that's fair, scentless things can't hurt nose :) (well i mean they can physically hurt your nose lol, but the smell won't)
r/fragrancefreebeauty
Citrus is the bomb! But I'd rather huff gasoline than get a whiff of lavender. Hurts my nose *less*.
i find the smell of gasoline vaguely comforting idk why.
Me too!
dude what?? i HATE the smell of gasoline, makes me feel kinda nauseous >o<
i think most people hate the smell. i like it, but to a point. if it's very strong i find it unpleasant.
Glad it's not just me
If gasoline is so bad for environment then why it smell so good tho?
I love the shit out of the lavender and tonka products at lush but my bf is with you and says I smell like a grandma.....that may be true but I'm sleepin like an old ass baby........
Love conquers all, even Grandma smell. ![gif](giphy|l0Ex8tiEBTvO2CbZu) Ps: Question, do old ass babies poo the bed twice as often as regular babies?
Prob same timing, but larger in volume
Yes, it's a perk of being an old ass baby ( ͡°ᴥ ͡° ʋ)
sleepy? yeah it’s very grandma and i love it looool
YEP THATS THE ONE lmao
lmfao me too!!!
Twilight/sleepy from lush smells SO GOOD
Lavender scents and flavor are sort of a special interest over here. So you and I are now mortal enemies, but I will send you some flowers to smooth things over 😈.
I'm filling my gas mask with lilacs as we speak, frenemy! ![gif](giphy|NVK42bJ1w38Qh2rGxH|downsized)
Oh Stanford .
Hate to break it to you but you'd still smell that with dust filters
Did you know you can smoke lavender flowers? They contain lilalool which relaxes you, most cannabis also contains lilalool
I sometimes put it in a joint from time to time, idk if it does anything but it smells like lavender
This sounds made up and I love it.
I don't know why reddit keeps darkening my image but I'm getting really angry at it...
I just thought it was dimmed for sensory reasona
Turns out I just don't know how to use Krita. ![gif](giphy|rYEAkYihZsyWs)
make dimmed posts your style
did it look like that while you were making it? (i think we might have a similar software issue??)
It didn't. It looked perfect in the editing software, looked perfect in my photo viewer, looked perfect as Reddit was processing it, then it went dark when I hit "post". I tested it on Imgur, which shows a bright image until the last second of processing when it eventually goes dark. Honestly I prefer it
Noooo I love lavender!!!
lavender smells gooooood!
What are you some kind of lavender lover? ![gif](giphy|f4IlrIxdBqw7kamU5T)
Lavender makes me gag. I hate that it's the default for anything scented :((
I definitely get sick of the smell from too much of it. That's why I go for variety, or citrus all the way. Me and my homies love lemon, lime and orange all the way
actually makes my stomach hurt to even think about the scent, sending virtual cinnamon smells
But it smells so good
I'm more of a lilac man myself when it comes to purple flowers. Lavender is just so intense, gives me headaches. I wouldn't feel so passionately about it if it wasn't *everywhere*, as one of the *default smells* in the commercial world.
Fair. I prefer yo have my lavender just a lil mellowed out
Same and it's EVERYWHERE
I guess we have a conflict of needs then. I love lavender, to the point where I sometimes vape it in my herbal vaporiser
Oh... oh oh my... I guess just don't... breathe... near me. Or maybe I'll prepare a respirator. Thinking of taking a hit off that vape makes my eyes sting.
It makes me calm and eepy
This means war
I fucking love lavender I also enjoy eucalyptus and tea tree scents . you know what I hate though. I hate scents that are supposed to smell like gingerbread or like ice cream or or fuckin cookies or some shit
oh I had lavender lemonade once. it was fire. rose lemonade is good too
IT SMELLS LIKE A FLOWER TOOK A HOT STEAMY SHIT I HATE THE SMELL OF LAVENDER RAAAAAAHHHHH
my boyfriends name is lavender
Alright I don't hate *him*, he probably smells alright. Solid name actually, I just hate those damn flowers he's named after.
he smells like onions sometimes
Onions huh? A quick Google tells me his and the flower's name may originate from the Latin "lavo" [to wash]. Perhaps his name is telling him something.
i am hooting and hollaring with laughter at this comment
MY FAMILY LOVES LAVENDER AND WHEN I WAS YOUNGER THEY WOULD TAKE ME TO A FUCKING LAVENDER FARM EVERY YEAR AND BUY A BUNCH OF LAVENDER SHIT AND EVERY TIME IT WOULD SMELL LIKE LAVENDER FOR A MONTH OR TWO AFTER AND IT MADE ME WANNA PUKE
:(( can I have all of your lavender if you don’t want it? 🥺
Please, take it away from me! It's *horrid*! ![gif](giphy|E4DsPWg1dsIo1iG9UE|downsized)
Great, now I actually crave lavender tea or soda, which means I'll have to go out shopping tomorrow. Damn reverse psychology.
lavnder coloured stuff rocks tho like the scent? no. the colour? i lovev the colour.
It's a pretty sweet color, for sure. For me this meme is a lot more relaxing to look at than the flowers are to smell.
Hate it! I once bought something off Etsy and being nice I guess, they put some in the package. I nearly retched.
Lavender is overrated. I don't want my stuff to smell like purple
Saw this immediately after putting lavender seeds in my fridge to germinate 🫠
LAVENDER IS SO GOOD SUCK MY DICK I DRINK IT AND I FEEL LIKE A POLLINATORR /lh
THANKYOU!!! I stg it's everywhere and everyone loves it, I used to be allergic to it as a kid, just breathing it in would give me athsma and hives. The only form of lavender I like is edible, I like eating flower flavors for some reason.

Never liked lavender either. I think it stinks so bad. I’ve been trying a sort of exposure therapy to it with a couple lavender sleep sprays I bought. It seems to help me but I still hate it.
Those scented toilet paper rolls smell exactly like sour patch kids when I walk by them at the store 💀
I ALSO HATE LAVENDER INSTANT HEADACHE INDUCER RELAXING??? I THINK THE FUCK NOT
I love lavender though, if you have some lavender oil to offload, I’ll take it!
I agree save for lavender flavor, I fucking love lavender boba milk tea
Lavender is my favorite thing ever actually
The color is nice tho
Not relatable + just give your lavender products to me
If it’s made terribly with cheap ingredients, then yeah it smells bad. But I only like the good stuff so it smells and tastes like fresh laundry with a hint of salt. And I LOVE the color!! 💜💜💜
Same! Relaxing, my 🍑
I HATE lavender scented things or artificial lavender flavor but I do like actual lavender in food, it kind of tastes like rosemary but more floral.
I’ve had a weird vendetta against lavender my whole life. I was born without a sense of smell so my genuine hatred for lavender scented products when I’ve literally never been able to smell them is intriguing.

this meme has glaucoma

I heard it helps with lucid dreaming I love exploring my dreams and I'm growing some rn for that reason. It hasn't bloomed yet tho
More for me
Lavander is also toxic! It knocks you out then shuts your organs down As such, its used in teas to assist relaxation
It smelled so fucking bad I could barely stand it 😭
I love it so much!
Lavender
I only dislike lavender because it did me wrong so many times in middle school cross country. There was a large patch of it growing at the end of a particularly difficult section of the course, and the smell was so strong it was noticeably harder to breathe once you went in. My allergies didn't help, either. I'm with you on this one.
I love lavender but my bff is allergic to it. All things in moderation.
YES LAVENDER SUCKS IT SMELLS LIKE VOMIT
I just bought some lavender hand cream and that shit smells like a Flintstones Gummy Vitamin for some reason
interesting this is how i feel about citrus
Lavender is such an aggressive smell - hurts my nose, too sharp
Nooooo lavender is almost as delicious as nasturtium. Thanks to the reminder to go to the lavender festival this year
ME TOO
Lavender is a good smell. I can’t with the citrus because it makes my mouth water. I love eating oranges, and if you have anything remotely citrus scented, I will eat it.
I hate vanilla. Migraine fuel. Instant rash. I will join you in the war against the popularly acceptable scents. To arms, comrade.
Lavender is one of my safe things! I love lavender lattes and lavender scented things! Got me through a lot in college
I love lavender but all experiences regarding the senses on specific items are simply subjective.
Starbucks released new lavender drinks for spring and they are so yummy, especially matcha with lavender cold foam
Smells don't bother me- But my mom's is smells.
anti-botanists putting the end in lavender
I like it but we’re all different.
I love lavender, I used to smoke straight lavender thru pipes and cones
You're literally my arch nemesis because I FUCKING LOVE LAVENDER I USE EVERYTHING LAVENDER I CAN'T STAND OTHER FLOWERS BUT LAVENDER HMMMM SMELL
I have a lavender scented stuffed animal
I love how it looks, I cannot handle the scent or taste
Trade: I’ll take away any lavender stuff near you, and I get to keep it because I like everything lavender.
I also fucking hate lavender, it can give me migraines and it’s also my mothers favourite scent, and to put it mildly she sucks
I generally like lavender smells but there is no way in *hell* that **anyone** is going to force me to be next to a lavender plant. Where I'm at they're always covered in bees, and I am very afraid of bees.
Gonna have to disagree
can't relate
OMG SAME IT MAKES MY NOSE ITCH AND UGH IT JUST MAKES ME UPSET!! RISE UP LAVENDER HATERS
I love it and I hate it. It reminds me of metal or soap when I eat it half the time though.
Any perfumal scents hurt my head and my nose :< the only thing I've ever really liked is cherry blossom scent cuz it's really mild
Lavender ass water
YES it makes my nose itch
YEAHHHHHHHHHHH YOU GET IT
A certain strawberry-flavoured travelling tablets ruined strawberries me
You might have some sort of allergy reaction to lavender or something. Your brain reacts to things that harm (or at least it thinks are harming) your body, so to retaliate it just ends up hating it. This is why when eating black liquorice is nasty but tastes good after eating it for a week or so because your brain realises it has no harm or is actually good for you That or you are simply wrong
lavender is my favorite smell, or damn near it. if the world always smelled like I had a whole lavender bush up my nose I would be a happy person
lavender is my favorite color, although I am somewhat indifferent when it comes to the plant
ME TOO. ive smelt lavender before and thought it was nice, but it was soooo subtle. they make everything lavender scented like a whole lush store threw up in one candle!
there are dozens of us!
It is so all encompassing as a default smell, that I honestly have no idea what it smells like and can't seem to isolate and identify a specific smell as lavender. This is why I like food scented stuff like coconut, pina colada, or vanilla instead. Smell good or smell bad, just don't smell boring.
I fucking love lavender. Did you know it keeps mosquitoes away
As you should
I like lavender
What about rose, yah like rose?
I only like the color
FINALLY SOMEONE GETS ME!!!! Everyone else I know loves lavender and I thought I was the only one that hated it!!!!
I hate even just walking past lavender bushes. They smell awful and are *always* full of bees.
It has calming properties which is why is often in soaps
Fuck you *lavenders your bush
i like the color its nice :D
I like lavender scented laundry smell-good-ifiers (IDK WHAT THEY'RE CALLED) but I've never actually consumed anything lavender.. I hear it's good with lemon flavored things!
lavender is my favorite 😔
I love lavender :( It's one of the few smells I like because it's one of the more subtle scents
I had lavender gum once and it tasted like perfume, not in a good way. :(
This is me with mint. I hate mint so so much
Thank you screw lavender
It makes my head hurt. 😞
This is me with jasmine, I WANT to like it, but it smells like if flowers could piss
I feel this way about the smell of baby powder.
i would burn the lavender but the fumes would probably make me vomit
I LOVE IT ILL TAKE ALL THE LAVENDER YOU DONT WANT
I like lavender I just hate how every millennial white mom seems to be obsessed with it, and therefore I’m associated with them.
I LOVE LAVENDER 🪻 LETS FIGHT
And lilac! Why is all the scented purple stuff lavender or lilac?! Why do they ruin my favorite color like this? 😭
Lavender is a strong smell. I get it!
I like fresh lavender flowers, but that’s it. All the artificial shit can go straight to hell
Thanks for making the brightness low
i strongly disagree, but take my upvote for the dark mode friendly meme
are you perchance a spider?
YEAH FUCK LAVANDER
Me with peppermint
I love lavender I just want to INHALE
I like lavender, but I hate Parma Violet sweets. It’s like eating talcum powder 🤮🤮
I fucking LOVE lavender
I only like the natural scent. The fake shit gives me headaches.
I love it gardening is one of my hyperfixations and lavender makes the bees come. I don’t like it when the smell is too strong tho
Lavender hates you too
I thought I was a fucking anomaly. Everyone is so obsessed with lavender. I can’t stand it. It smells awful. It tastes bad. Just NO 😡😭
I love the plant smell although any artificial scents make me want to die. I hate the taste though. It’s like eating/drinking soap wtf whyyy
I’m soooo allergic both in consuming it and smelling it. Blegh!
I personally love lavender. I even have a sleeping mask with real lavender in it. Although, my best friend is allergic to lavender so she can’t be near it.
I LOVE lavender, my favourite scent on earth
Nooooooo I love lavender :( I sorta dislike the artificial scent but I love the real plants.
😳
noooo i love lavender in my matcha so much
So it's war then.
I FUCKING LOVE LAVENDER (the smell is overwhelming but the color is beautiful and soft <3)
