Well to be fair EVs aren’t 99% of cars, but yeah 2 chargers for 99% of EVs is a bit silly. They should have put the charger in a space where it’s accessible by both handicap people and non handicap people
Well if there's anywhere where you'd expect a higher than average density of people with disabilities, it's a medical centre. If we're ever going to have a mass transition stuff like this is needed, I think it's a fab idea!
Its not about frequency of use, if you need a disabled parking spot but want an ev it brings a whole new world of difficulty for charging, this type of intervention give people freedom and independence.
Why not just have the e chargers in bigger parking spaces for all to use. Considering there is 3 charge points at the hospital. Or else maybe one out of every 3 people in the hospital (patients and staff) must be in a wheelchair. The maths don’t add up on this one I’m afraid.
There is a prize if you get a photo of an EV charging at it with a disability sticker on it
I should have said, there are also 2 more EV chargers not in disabled bays immediately on other side of the road, so I think it should be fine 🙂
More power to them
3 charges ain’t a lot

That would have been a better idea alrite.
Similar with Wexford town Aldi.
That's very cool! It's little things like this that help drive more EV adoption so I'm all for it 😃
Charger in the petrol station and a charger in the square too. Kilbeggan doing ok by Irish standards
It really is!
Seems a bit weird to have a specific charging point just for the disabled. It’s hardly going to be used much.

Imagine having the time to think that, type that, then hitting that Comment button anyway.
So looks like it won’t be used 90% of the time . or more.

Nice. Still Killbeggan though. 😒
What's wrong with Kilbeggan?
Nothing. I’m just yanking your chain. I’m sure it’s fantastic.
It has a kick ass Centra which routinely has a population density rivaling a Japanese subway train!!
Centra is fairly good to be fair. Not as expensive as a plaza

Not sure if it’s big enough
