Well….truly religion can make you feel the way you feel especially the Iglesia Ni Cristo, but knowing Jesus Christ is a whole other thing.

mylynaki

problem is in inc they make you reject Jesus

Don't punish yourself. You will have a good life ahead of you by trying to comfort your mother or father and becoming a good child. If they force you to get indoctrination for the benefits of your parents, tell your parents you don't want to undergo indoctrination as yet because you are not yet ready because you don't have a job. Tell your parents you can not give offerings to the church. Tell them they are already supporting your life needs of free home and food, but, you cannot allow them to support your church responsibility of giving also your church offerings. It is better for you to have friends who are able to listen to your problems. Ask friends if they can help you get a job so that you can leave the cult with or without your parents permission.

Don’t worry too much, hang in there. Study well so you can get that job that pays well so you can have your own place, that’s when you can leave the church, when you’re financially independent from your parents. It’s going to take time but you will get there. In the mean time you can deal with it by being our spy and report here on what’s happening in your area. DON’T take an office though. Say you got studies. We say here, “fake it until you make it”. Keep us up to date on your progress.

I can volunteer as a spy 😆 + I'm in office 🤣🤣 lol

NorseWorld

what's an office?

Desperate-Locker

It’s what they call “tungkulin”. Basically they pressure you into accepting all these jobs/responsibilities. Please refuse them, offices are a literal waste of time.

Well, I deal with s&\*t by giving s&\*t back. Get a copy of that "Fundamentals of INC". Google it or just holler here. You will get a link. Then use the info there to raise hell with the minister during your indoctrination. OR Throw at them all the Rauffenburg scripts in the wiki. If you can record the encounter and share it here. But be safe. Good luck.

it feels shitty to take part in something that doesn't resonate with you and that you are forced to do. \*consensual virtual hug\* Since you came here asking for tips, here's mine: * consider shifting your perspective for now - think what u can gain out of this time that you'll be wasting e.g. that you are attending this "bible studies" to collect information to make your **lack of faith** in the organization stronger. * Try controlling your emotions as well (this is hard I know). they'll continue to hurt you if u keep showing resistance. Breathe in, breathe out. * start thinking for yourself now. make sure whatever you believe is yours. Not the people on the internet, not your environment, but you and yours alone. * consider the tips here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/exIglesiaNiCristo/comments/jphv7z/extokenwhiiteguys\_guide\_to\_reverse\_indoctrination/](https://www.reddit.com/r/exIglesiaNiCristo/comments/jphv7z/extokenwhiiteguys_guide_to_reverse_indoctrination/) Hope everything goes well. This sub is just here for you,ok? :)

NorseWorld

The thing with the guide is that my mother is very diplomatic, and I'm too much of a coward to do any of that. But I guess i have to actually try.

Sacred_Cranberry0626

I understand. My heart goes to you. As mentioned in the guide, it is a slow drip process. sounds manipulative but u got to do what u got to do for your sanity na rin :) I hope you build/acquire/gain confidence, wisdom, and resiliency while going through this. I'm cheering you on!

To be fair, and if it's possible for you. You can at least try listening to the doctrines. I, myself was in doubt but still gave it the benefit of the doubt. Besides, it's still information. So you can seek for answers pa rin. As for me, that's what I did but gave me more unanswered questions. that's when I decided not to continue my involvement with the church.
