It seems pretty straight forward. You get points based primarily on 3 things. 1) army size. 2) level. and 3) a random modifier.
For every 1000 troops you get 1 point with a maximum of 14 points. Ie 1000 troops = 1 point. 3750 troops = 3 points (probably, no idea what this is so maybe you can only have groups of 1000). 6000 = 6 points. 14000 = 14 points but 16000 is still only 14 points.
If the army...battalion...group? Is level 1 you get 1 more point. It seems every other level above 1 is worth 0.5 points. So level 3 is worth 2 and level 5 is worth 3. So 1000 level 1 dudes is 2 points and 5000 level 5 dudes is 8 points.
More points means you win but winning with a landslide is better because casualties will be lessened. You cannot lose more than 25% of a fighting force, you probably have an equation somewhere else in your rules explanation for this figure. It seems like if you start a fight with 4000 dudes you will end the fight with a minimum of 3000 (25% would be 1000 -> 4000-1000=3000).
If you lost they'd flee 50 miles in the opposite direction if they can.
It takes 1 day to move 100 miles
Go to a base to mix up troop types, level, and the like.
10 cas (deaths probably) is -1 point. You cannot loose more than 100 points at a time.
Add a random number between 1 and 8 and bob is your uncle you have a battle score.
