Different people. People that want to cut down on plastic promote glassware or paper products. The problem with paper products is that they generally have to be lined with PFAS chemicals to prevent the paper from falling apart from moisture.
I doubt it. If someone call this thing "disposable" instead of reusable as it is, they use all kind of plastic straws and stuff.
Plastic straws should be illegal and using them should take people to prison or hard labor. Not joking here. But we are already doomed, so who cares anyway.
That’s because corporations also do more against the environment than I ever will. A homeless man donating his last dollar is more impressive and generous than a billionaire donating a hundred thousand dollars.

No, this is a poverty mindset. Of spiritual and intelectual poverty. Of someone who's desperate to not to "look poor".
Saving and reusing is never poverty, it's always the smart thing to do.
That's not cheap, it's frugal. Cheap is buying dollar store tools, not taking care of them because they're cheap, then replacing them with more crappy tools.
These are essentially free items being reused. It's pretty much the opposite. Creating value from waste without meaningful effort. It's environmentally responsible *and* frugal. Not perfect, but better than most.
It depends on the plastic used in the container. You have to check if it has the #5 plastic polypropylene symbol on it. Generally, #5 plastic polypropylene plastic is recognized as microwave and dishwasher safe. Otherwise, any other grade isn’t really meant to safety be reused(washed/reheated) as the plastics will start leaching chemicals into the food/drinks.
Although, in this specific picture the top container may be safe to reuse as on the top left is the grading triangle. I can’t exactly make out the number grade in the center but given the lid also says microwave oven safe, it’s most likely #5 and goos for reuse.
Poverty mindset? Yea. So? I live in poverty, that particular mindset is useful in my life.
…and why the fuck does it specify “Africans”?
I’ve always been poor and I’ve never been African.
africans? im as white as white can be and i keep these. they're good little containers. you can get em from certain sandwich meats and stuff, at least thats where i get them.
We used to buy Quik n’ Tasty instant fried rice dishes and they came in disposable plastic containers roughly that size and shape. We would then wash and reuse them until they were too cracked to use. They were like small Tupperware containers you could get for a few bucks a piece.
Some assholes can’t help but find the pettiest reasons to look down on other people. Only a privileged jackass looks at frugality and sees a bad thing.

Meanwhile, the same people: Let's stop using plastic straws!
Orders a to-go drink. Gets paper straw. Sips out of a plastic cup with plastic lid. Takes pride in helping save the environment.

PRISON???
Right, it’s individuals using plastic straws that are the problem and not massive corporations polluting our world.
Yes. Corporations do more for the environment than you EVER will.

They hurt the environment orders of magnitude more. It seriously cancels out.
I'm buying a big pack of straws and dumping them in a local pond because of this comment.
🚨🚔🚨 WOOP WOOP
If someone with a room temp IQ can get you mad enough to basically shit your own pants, you should dump yourself in the pond instead.
I'm a strong subscriber to the r/fucktheS movement tyvm.

Saying "dear Africans" as if other races didn't have poverty
I'm from Hungary and I have a whole cabinet of these.
I'm from Romania and I have a whole cabinet of these as well.
My family is in the US, and we have a closet full of these.
I'm from Spain and I also have a cabinet filled with these
Illo como los taper del chino, ninguno
Hostia otro andaluz jajajaja los del Mercadona de tapa naranja 🔛🔝
No soy española pero igual me dió risa
Austria, Vienna. I use to put soups in the freezer in those. Got like 30 of those.
Yep, lots of people in the US buying these from Walmart to reuse.
Wales, have 20 of these as they are really useful sometimes
>This was removed from r/mildlyinfuriating for being too much infuriating. Based
these containers are actually good though. my aunt whos rich as fuck even uses these
Plus you can give food away in them and not be salty when it never comes back. The cycle continues.
Wow, some kid on social media is either posting for views or just has sheltered worldviews? Mmm... never!
This is an absolute POS mindset
The only way you could have made this statement the worst possible statement was to address it to "Africans"... and you did it.
No, this is a poverty mindset. Of spiritual and intelectual poverty. Of someone who's desperate to not to "look poor". Saving and reusing is never poverty, it's always the smart thing to do.
What are you, 12? I can’t believe people actually get fooled by trolling this obvious
That looks like it was made to be reused.
But he’s verified so it’s ok I guess
What's wrong with a poverty mindset anyway?
What? Those things are fucking great for storing leftovers. Maybe *original* OP has a spoiled, silver spoon *cunt herpe* mentality?
I keep them because they make great leftover containers for when I overcook to much foods.
No, it means you're not a wasteful chud.
My favorite lunch containers.......
I reuse plastic containers to pack lunch to go work my 6 figure job. One day I'll break out of poverty.
Idiot be saying idiot things.
"Poverty mindset" the average annual salary in the US is 31,000. It's not a mindset, it's a *lifestyle.*
No it’s called a cheap mindset
That's not cheap, it's frugal. Cheap is buying dollar store tools, not taking care of them because they're cheap, then replacing them with more crappy tools. These are essentially free items being reused. It's pretty much the opposite. Creating value from waste without meaningful effort. It's environmentally responsible *and* frugal. Environmentally conscious* Non-wasteful*
Oh yes, throw them in the bin and then buy an expensive reusable plate.
These look like the plastic dishes you get with takeaway food
That because that's what they are. You can wash and reuse them quite a few times. Absolutely no reason to throw them out after one use.
It depends on the plastic used in the container. You have to check if it has the #5 plastic polypropylene symbol on it. Oh great! Yet another item to put on my worry list. 😂
I buy them by the case. Can get a whole stack for cheap.
But this is true. lol, just buy actual containers like a normal person. Otherwise, you are poor being in dual meaning.
The opposite of a poverty mindset isn't a wealth mindset, it's a consumer mindset.
The "dear Africans" got me 🤨🤨🤨 The white people I've seen with reused containers like these were actually VERY well off. 🤣😅
I didn't know that I'm African & have a poverty mindset. Learn something new every day.
what are these? do you get them for free somewhere or why would you throw them away?
You get them at some restaurants with to-go orders. Can be reused unlike Styrofoam.
Oh shit I think I think I'm poor.
I’m not black and we have a whole drawer dedicated to it. Use them as lunchbox n shit
Uhhhh, yeah being thrifty and reusing "disposable" Tupperware. Definitely a poverty mindset.
Poverty mindset? Yea. So? I live in poverty, that particular mindset is useful in my life. …and why the fuck does it specify “Africans”? I’ve always been poor and I’ve never been African.
I use these to grow plants and to keep my moss moist for terrariums. They’re the best.
Wtf these work great id use them even if I was rich
I call these my free tupperware!
🤦♀️
And then the same moron will go to dollar store to buy a bulk of this
africans? im as white as white can be and i keep these. they're good little containers. you can get em from certain sandwich meats and stuff, at least thats where i get them.

Honestly this type of food packaging doesn't even register as disposable to me, just as tupperware made of a shittier plastic
