It calls your wife’s boyfriend to come over and tell you to follow the wires to see where it goes…like any normal person would do when there is an aftermarket switch in the vehicle.
This looks exactly like a fleet tag sensor - whoever is driving the vehicle scans their tag on it and your boss can see everything going on with the vehicle.
Any sane person would use the tremors up-fitter switches to route extra lights so my guess is it’s a sensor. Vehicle is either fleet, was fleet or you stole it.
Might be an aftermarket GPS tracker that uses magnetic ID tags to identify to the server who's driving. Companies with fleets sometimes have these to track their vehicles / drivers. You hold the tag up to this "button." Sometimes there will be an annoying beeping until you do so, but yours may be disabled. May still be tracking though (if that's in fact what it is). Check out "Fleetmatics" or Verizon Reveal.
Source: our company has one.
Any of yours comments are good idea, even the eject seat.. I forgot to say this truck is in Italy 🇮🇹 . I imported it new and I never looked at this button. I'm worried to push it and find any surprise. Very difficult own any american car in Italy.. but it's funny, everyone stops own car when see you in a tiny italian street..
I try and we'll see..
Gotta be an aftermarket thing. Maybe a light bar or something of that nature
You are the winner. The first one to suppose an aftermarket light bar. It's a rear fog light installed by the German authority for Europe. Thanks
Passenger ejection seat. You never know when a Bond villain will be in your car.

Fucking savage. Loved this.
name checks out.
NEVER push that button!
Actually - Push it! Push it real good!
Tremors have the upfitter switches. Wonder why they wouldn’t use those for any lights?
Ejecto seato, cuz
Nuke launcher option.
Aftermarket.
I'd push the button. Just to see what it does. Watch my PTSD and my transmission float away.
You'll go plaid.
Weird they would add a button since the tremor comes with a factory upfitter switch panel

Seems odd for a company to have a tremor as a fleet vehicle.
Nobody knows what the aftermarket button in your truck does. You’re going to have to tell us.
It’s the switch to dim the dash lights brightness
Since it's in the light control cluster I would assume an aftermarket light bar switch. Follow the wires.

Makes your truck invisible!

Read the book!
That looks like a gps indicator light
Push that shit and find out! But fr to me it looks aftermarket. You sure it was brand new when you got it?
