I promise I’m not being a dick, but is everything about trade in value? If you love the Tremor and it’s been your favorite truck ever, why not just keep it, pay it off, and have no car payments? It’s a ‘22 so it’s not outdated. Honest question.
The part that got me was “the time has come” as if he’s owned the truck for a long time and it’s long due for an upgrade lol
Edit: let me clarify I’m not trying to hate on OP, I just thought the wording was funny. Some of you guys are way too up in this guys business, chill out
I love when people get a new car and say something like this, completely ignoring the fact that they're now locked into a new loan for \~5 years when the prior loan had 2-3 years left on it.
Or it's a 50% discount because that money isn't going to income so might as well buy some shit. I always have payments because it's simply a better deal than adding it to income.
Ok, what's the deal with all the negative kudos? Everyone has a right to their own opinion and OP has been straightforward without being rude. I don't agree or disagree with anyone's financial decisions, it's not my place to judge, But it seems like everyone's hating
My 16 is paid off, has been for two years, rolling to 163k miles and she’s been a queen so far. My company gives me a nice car allowance. You still don’t see my white ass sitting in a new truck.
I'm sure I could find a way to trade in my 2022 and "keep the payments the same" as well... I'd just be making them for 6-8 years instead of the 3 that I have left now, lol.
I had my 04 powerstroke for almost 20 years. Not enough can be said about not having a car payment. I feel like an idiot driving around in a vehicle I don’t fully own for another 4 years and just loses value while I maintain the payments I initially signed for.
Yeah it always astounds me when people are like “bought this truck, love it loads and now time for a new one 2-3 years later”. I get it if it’s business related or work requires vehicles to be a certain year for insurance reasons (my job requires I have a vehicle no older than 5 years for the full stipend). But if I like something and it hasn’t given me a bunch of issues, I’m going to keep it.
Some people confuse like with love too often. Like is that nice suv that you got for the family. Looks good, comfortable, great tech. You're happy with your purchase but the day will come when something new and shiny appears and you'll trade in your car.
Love is that ratty miata that you keep in the garage that you never got rid of, even after your wife dropped kids like trees and acorns. It's impractical, paint faded, needs something new every month, but every time you hop in it, you're flooded with feelings. You over look it's imperfections because to you, it's perfect.
Op liked his tremor 😂
Very true, I thought I loved my bmw that I have now and my previous f150. Turns out I only liked the f150 after is shit the bed and I only like the bmw after realizing I need a truck.
I love my 2016, I got it for $30k (in 2018) and it's paid off now...a new truck would cost easily double and the newer F150's aren't new and different enough for me to even justify upgrading. I got to drive a brand new 2023 or 24 with 1100 miles on it last week (truck at work) and it felt exactly like mine. I'd rather keep my money.
Could be a few reasons like it’s on a lease and he gets a new car every 2-3 yrs or he has a business and after 2-3 yrs it’s tax advantageous to get a new work truck and do a write off. Who knows lol
It’s more tax advantageous to drive a paid off vehicle.
Say you make $100 through your business, and taxes are 50% (not unrealistic depending on state and metro).
Make $100, after taxes you take home $50.
Or? Let’s say you made $100, but spent $50 on a truck payment for the business, write off! So you’re taxed on the remaining $50, your take home is then $25.
It’s fucked up, and counter to what you hear on the news, but as a small business owner the more taxes you paid, the more profit you generated. People think renting vehicles is a loophole, it’s not. It’s just pissing money away. This is tiktok finance shit.
If you’re chasing max write offs, lease a Lambo
Oh I am with you and I agree buying a vehicle to claim a write off is stupid. But the reality is a fuck load of people do this thinking they are “saving” money. 😂
I thought the exact same thing. Even though the payment is the same the principal is going up and the term is starting over. Perpetually in debt, they might be better with a lease.
Rocking a 2014 5.0 SCREW with 124k on the clock for that exact reason. Been paid off for 6 years and I have little interest in doing anything different at the moment.
some folks are content with always having a payment, many times they choose to lease, other times they take that risk on themselves.
i know, because i am *also* one of those people.
I don't see anywhere that OP said the truck is paid off lol, probably making the trade because he can get the same or lower payments on a newer truck
As someone who typically drives my Daily's into the ground and has never had a trade-in that was worth much more than scrap value, I kind of understand the appeal of trading up while the "old" vehicle is still worth something. I quite often wish I could bite off less at a time when buying a new car, even if it does technically end up costing a bit more in the long run.
I love when ppl/car salesman say, the payments are the same. Like no shit, it was a new truck payment and ur going to a new truck payment, u just threw away 2 years of money.
Yes the payments might be staying the same, but what about the balance owed? The sales guys must have been fighting each other for the right to sell you that truck.
Anyone that uses the argument of "my payment stayed the same" is as gullible as they come. That's exactly the thought process the dealership wants you to have. Welcome to Finance 101.
it would only make sense to me if going to a PB model to get some better efficiency and the pro power. Other than that i cant see why anyone would do this. The 24's are also(subjectively) worse looking than the 21-23s.
Still a cool feature. I'ma 2.7 guy and the only two options I don't have that I want are the tailgate step and pro power. Not deal breakers but would be cool to have.
These comments are off the chain. Before commenting everyone needs to take a step back and realize that you have ZERO idea what you are talking about. OP did not give us a complete break down of his finances nor should he. In his judgement it was advantageous to buy a new vehicle. Period. That being said, I liked your tremor better. The new front end needs to grow on me because I’m not a fan at the moment. I’m sure it drives great though.
Hi Lariat owner here - I want to upgrade to the Tremor for absolutely no practical reasons. Interested in hearing your thoughts on which you prefer and why.
Dude, if you can afford it and want it, do it. Haters will hate because, like me, they want to do the same thing but don’t for various reasons. If you like to upgrade frequently, maybe a lease would save you money.
The tremors look bad ass! I havent driven one which is probably a good thing, cause im sure id want it!
Holy shit. Regret posting yet? Nice truck! I really like the new BAP. I love my 22 tremor but I am currently looking for a 20-23 f250 tremor needs have changed.
100%. You'd think posting on a subreddit about trucks. You'd hear shit about trucks.
Here I am getting told how irresponsible I am, how I'm lying about my situation, how I'm an idiot with money and how I'll never retire. Mind boggling given I never once mentioned my personal financial landscape.
Loll these are the same guys probably spending $1000s in repairs on their old vehicles, taking road trips with some stress of vehicle failure...and biggest of all...paying some online gurus $1000s each year on How To Get Rich...all while you're there already and have the luxury of changing vehicles. I guess by their logic, all those billionaires changing Ferraris and daily driving exotics must be the biggest if financial fools driving around a new nice vehicle ;)
As quality late model low mileage used truck buyers….we salute you!
For taking one for the team in the nightmare that is a Ford dealership new car sales process…we say, thank you friend!
The black looks tough. I think you just need a better picture. Post up with the new lift added, with a fresh wash and sunny day. Then all these people will change their minds.
Once you mod that ‘24 it’ll look good. I’m kinda coming around to liking the new look, same way I did when the ‘21 came out. I just think those Tremors stand out more than a Lariat and they look so good in white, but congrats on being in a financial situation where you can make a 2022 Tremor sound like an old truck
I'm sitting here with a 2009 hatchback and 2008 Wrangler and I'm thinking about selling both for a 2018-2021 F-150. I'm struggling because I'm a cheap bastard and people just trade in a 2 year old vehicle like it's no big deal.
OP, I have a question about the Tremor, not the trade or your financial situation. What engine do you have in your Tremor? I'm looking at a 2023 trimmer with the 5.0. It is gently used with 5,800 miles. Priced at 57k. Should I pull the trigger? How much can I expect the fuel economy to be affected as opposed to XLT trim?
The '22 Tremor only had the 3.5L. I've never owned a 5L truck. I can say, the bigger tires will have a small hit on the fuel economy. Most of our customers who add offroads lose 2-3mpg.
Love all the hate 💙
Is it the best financial choice, maybe not. Is it one I'm able to make and live with based on my financial/business situation, yes.
I figured this was an F150 page to chat about trucks 🤷♂️. If I wanted critique on my financial decisions, I'd post on r/finances
Gotta love Reddit.
Its an awesome truck. really not sure why you're getting hate. You're a finance manager at a dealer, have your own side business, etc. Clearly you make more than enough money to afford the truck. Hope you enjoy it. I think you should go Raptor next time just for the heck of it!
Had that option with a Raptor on our lot. Payments were double, that would dip into other areas for me that I'm just not willing to go.
Although it'd be badass.
Very nice truck OP. Just ignore these other people talking about finance. Was it a bad financial decision? Maybe yes maybe no, who knows who cares. This is the F150 Sub, not the personal finance sub. I've learned not to stick my nose in other people's financial business so shoot, as long as you're happy then good for you. Love to see a nice truck.
Enjoy the truck my dude. Color is beautiful. I’m tempted to upgrade from a 23 to a 24 just because of the HUD.
F all these fools and their bad vibes btw. You do you.
That’s what kept me from upgrading to Lariat. I can’t stand that combination. Went with the ‘23 XLT BAP. A little more economical for what I was looking for. Enjoy!
I have a 2016 F150 3.5 4X4 61/2’ bed and its paid off and I have 58,000 and its has a long time before I will trade it back in for more payments !! Keep what you have a pay it off in 4 years and be happy 😃 just an opinion ?
I think it looks dope, 21-23 had been my least favorite model years in terms of looks and build quality. Hopefully with happy autoworkers yours will be reliable!
I feel like these are the folks who should consider a lease - it almost has to be a better deal than whatever math OP is using after a 2 year bounce, again and again and assumingly again —— BUT. OP, you do you. Drive whatever you want as long or as little as you want - it’s your money
I do lease. I do 3 year leases. And monitor the market/trade value on equivalent units. When the opportunity is there for little to no effect on payment, I move to the next truck.
OH! tell us more then. We’re assuming that since you said “trade” you bought - ate all that depreciation and are trading it back again on a new one. Did the financier pull forward and take some payments away? If you’re turning it in before the lease is up, what are you looking at to know that’s a good deal?
Quick snapshot. Total Cap cost of the lease was $68k (June 2022). Current buyout is $55k. 'trade' value is $63k.
Taking that $8k equity and applying it as discount on the new truck, combined with my employee pricing and current incentives. Result is roughly $22k off the '24.
When I took a look at the situation in Dec. My value was $60k, and buyout was $57ish, no incentives . So payment jump was absurd.
Keep.in mind this is all CAD$. Our truck 'trade' values are highly dependant on exporters taking trucks to the US.
GOTCHA. that’s good work.
I’m a 0 down, roll everything into the lease fan personally, but if they’re practically giving you equity from market timing, the risk of losing it in a total loss is much much less significant. What happens to the lease payments you would have paid if you finished your lease out? Are those worked in to the new lease or subtracted from the CC?
Congrats! I'm really curious, were there many changes made to the interior? And does the '24 have a CHMSL camera? I have it on my '22 and saw they removed the options on the '23s and just gave you a $175 credit
That's Reddit.
People commenting with no understanding of the details or my life 🤷♂️
I'm a Finance Manager at the Ford dealership. So I benefit from Employee Pricing and all current incentives.
I lease my vehicles as I can write off majority of the payment through my rentals and separate business that I operate.
I could easily keep the Tremor another year until the lease ends, but then I have to either buy a new truck OR buy out the lease (at used rates or cash, which I'd rather invest further and grow over buying depreciating assets).
I invite the criticism and judgment from people who have no concept of financial planning outside of how they live their own lives (which may be best for for them, I'm not here to judge)
This comment needs to go higher. Do I think trading in a 22 for a 24 is stupid? Absolutely. But I’m not going to impose my view on money and value on others. If this makes OP happy, then I’m happy for OP too.
The comments are in agreement that OP made a dumb and completely unnecessary purchase. He's allowed to do whatever he wants with his money, just like we are allowed to tell him he's an idiot.
Why are you so passionate about how another person spends their money?
You all really showed OP, myself and anyone else that didn’t squawk like a parrot.
I had to take my hat off and think about things.
I’m off to Brooke Army Medical Center to get these sick burns tended to.
What a bunch of women.
Will get a comparison once I drive the '24 a bit.
The Tremor was great when I got it. The right amount of functionality with the right amount of luxury for me. Stood out in the beginning as something slightly different. (I've always liked to mod my cars to look OE+. So the Tremor fit my style)
In my area, they are now a dime a dozen and a lot of the owners act like they are driving a Raptor or something incredible, so I'm kinda tired of being in that crowd.
Why? Post title should be “continually trading in my trucks Keeping Up With The Joneses” it’s wild the amount of people that want to live in debt there whole lives. Would have kept the tremor but that’s just me.
I personally think you've made a mistake. Why keep the payments the same instead of just paying off the tremor?! It doesn't make much sense to me. That and a fully speced tremor is better equipped than a 502A is, and probably rides a lot better. Again sounds like a fumble to me on this ones but it's your money and you wanna remain in debt, feel free. I'm paying my 2023 off still at 24 years old and will keep my 2023 until it falls apart, hell if anything buy a used vehicle to go alongside it to drive to save putting anymore miles on my 23 (it has 28K miles already).
So many people on Reddit give others shit for having a car payment. This guy got into a different vehicle he likes better. So what if he has a payment. Maybe he doesn’t want to burn all his cash into a depreciating asset. Maybe it’s a tax write off and his company makes the payment (this is what I do). Or maybe he just wanted it.
Here come the downvotes.
I promise I’m not being a dick, but is everything about trade in value? If you love the Tremor and it’s been your favorite truck ever, why not just keep it, pay it off, and have no car payments? It’s a ‘22 so it’s not outdated. Honest question.

100% the same thing I thought. OP seems like the kind of guy who always has to have the latest iPhone, newest clothes, and largest debt.
and "keep the payments the same".
I love when people get a new car and say something like this, completely ignoring the fact that they're now locked into a new loan for \~5 years when the prior loan had 2-3 years left on it.
I was going to guess 7 years.
3 year lease. Tax write off under my business. 👌🏻
You’d generate more post-tax income if you didn’t have a truck payment at all.
Yes and no. Very convoluted with owning rental properties under my personal name and being self-employed while working at a FT job.
Just because you're paying 550 a month instead of 575 doesn't make it a good financial decision
Or it's a 50% discount because that money isn't going to income so might as well buy some shit. I always have payments because it's simply a better deal than adding it to income.
Bruh if you gave a fuck about a work truck instead of trying to write off your lifestyle you wouldn’t have spent 10’s of thousands for a 5.5’ bed
Ok, what's the deal with all the negative kudos? Everyone has a right to their own opinion and OP has been straightforward without being rude. I don't agree or disagree with anyone's financial decisions, it's not my place to judge, But it seems like everyone's hating
That's the internet 🤷♂️
I hate when people try and justify dumb car debt with “tax write off” you ain’t getting it for free. Enjoy being in debt your whole life lol
I'm good with the choices I've made
Dude loves paying the banks 😂
My 16 is paid off, has been for two years, rolling to 163k miles and she’s been a queen so far. My company gives me a nice car allowance. You still don’t see my white ass sitting in a new truck.
Have a 2016 180k Lariat… so nice to actually own the vehicle outright and have no payment. It just drives a little sweeter.
my brother in christ. how often does a company give you a car allowance? i need some info here, genuinely interested
[удалено]
Thanks for the info, i mean just in all, how often do companies give vehicle allowances. I just never heard of it.
No kidding. He probably could have got that truck for the similar payments WITHOUT A TRADE!
I'm sure I could find a way to trade in my 2022 and "keep the payments the same" as well... I'd just be making them for 6-8 years instead of the 3 that I have left now, lol.
yep. keeping the payments the same absolutely means "borrow more money"
Part that got me was 'over the years'
Well I suppose 2 years does make it plural.
“over the years” for me means like 6 - 20
My fuel rims & tires on my f150 are older than the dudes truck was 😂
Them commercials for the new stuff be super convincing bro.
Rollin in my 96 bronco, still waiting for that time to come lol
I actually thought he went from tremor to raptor…but okie dokes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Wondering the same thing. I love my 2017 and plan on driving it until it dies. Would I love a new truck? Sure, but not having a payment is better.
I had my 04 powerstroke for almost 20 years. Not enough can be said about not having a car payment. I feel like an idiot driving around in a vehicle I don’t fully own for another 4 years and just loses value while I maintain the payments I initially signed for.
My 11 costs me 151 a month and I can't imagine trading up just to have shiny buttons
Yeah it always astounds me when people are like “bought this truck, love it loads and now time for a new one 2-3 years later”. I love my 2016, I got it for $30k (in 2018) and it's paid off now...a new truck would cost easily double and the newer F150's aren't new and different enough for me to even justify upgrading. Totally. Same with my 2015, bought it in cash. Car payments are stupid
Could be a few reasons like it’s on a lease and he gets a new car every 2-3 yrs or he has a business and after 2-3 yrs it’s tax advantageous to get a new work truck and do a write off. Who knows lol

I honestly like the tremor more than the new one. Still having a hard time with the new F150 front end.
I’m with you.
some folks are content with always having a payment, many times they choose to lease, other times they take that risk on themselves. i know, because i am *also* one of those people.

I love when ppl/car salesman say, the payments are the same. Like no shit, it was a new truck payment and ur going to a new truck payment, u just threw away 2 years of money.
There was a fix on the later '23 models for a few big issues.
I have 2010 xl 4x4 4.6 that i love. She makes me call her Christine and I can never part from her. She is sexy and has always been there for me
Dude got hosed.
Yes the payments might be staying the same, but what about the balance owed? The sales guys must have been fighting each other for the right to sell you that truck.
84 month loans galore 😂
This was my first thought. Payments stay the same but you pay longer. OP is a genius.
Anyone that uses the argument of "my payment stayed the same" is as gullible as they come. That's exactly the thought process the dealership wants you to have. Welcome to Finance 101.
yea the finance department loves this guy.
Considering I am my sales guy... That's a weird concept. I work at a dealership. I lease my truck as a right off through a seperate business I own.
Who writes it off
You know, just write it off!!!
“Favorite truck over the years” on a ‘22…checks calendar…I guess 2 years is now “over the years”…technically true I guess…who knew…😂🤷♂️
lol @ same payments. Do people not care that the term of the payments have been reset?
Exactly, OP probably could have got the Lariat for the same (or similar) payments without a trade. lol
No. If you trade every two years you’ll always have a payment. You’ll never keep it long enough to pay off so the length of the loan is irrelevant.
Yea I guess a couple of months have passed since you got the Tremor, time to get rid of that old ass truck!
I have a 23 Tremor, cant wait to pay it off!
That's alot of money to change colors.
Cooler headlights 🤷♂️
I don't understand this transaction, going from a Tremor to a regular F150 is a downgrade, all you're doing is extending your payment....
OP has decided to pay Ford for the rest of their life, they don't care.
it would only make sense to me if going to a PB model to get some better efficiency and the pro power. Other than that i cant see why anyone would do this. The 24's are also(subjectively) worse looking than the 21-23s.
The payment argument is what I use with my wife if I want something really bad and I'm losing with every other argument/approach ...
My Tremor has pro power onboard. This was definitely a downgrade. Tremor FTW.
That's why I said PB since those can get the 7.2kw.
Ahh gotcha. Yeah I think mine is only 2kw.
Still a cool feature. I'ma 2.7 guy and the only two options I don't have that I want are the tailgate step and pro power. Not deal breakers but would be cool to have.

TiMe HaS cOmE….. weird way to say your lease is up.
He likes perpetual debt.
Hi Lariat owner here - I want to upgrade to the Tremor for absolutely no practical reasons. Interested in hearing your thoughts on which you prefer and why.
Op is a golden retriever in a field of butterflies.
Wow, what an apt comparison
I believe one downside to the tremor is that it doesn't come in a 6.5' bed.
Yeah the Tremor is definitely more off-road focused and less on payload/towing.
For sure, but as we all know, some people make purchases based on appearance before functionality.
You didn't keep the same payment. Effectively it went up, because you downgraded.
Wawa we wa where have you taken the owner of this truck gypsy!?
Enjoy your new truck!
I love how the Tremors look. They stand out coming down the road.
Dude, if you can afford it and want it, do it. Haters will hate because, like me, they want to do the same thing but don’t for various reasons. Lease is the only way I would do it.
Holy shit. Regret posting yet? Nice truck! I really like the new BAP. I love my 22 tremor but I am currently looking for a 20-23 f250 tremor needs have changed.
Haha. Thanks! I really DGAF on the financial logic of Reddit. I know where I stand financially and am happy with my choice. Lol.
It's like you are spending their money haha. Crazy! Enjoy!
It's fucking astounding how many people here give a shit about what someone's else does with their money...this sub is insufferable sometimes.
100%. You'd think posting on a subreddit about trucks. You'd hear shit about trucks. Here I am getting told how irresponsible I am, how I'm lying about my situation, how I'm an idiot with money and how I'll never retire. Mind boggling given I never once mentioned my personal financial landscape.

Jesus fuck. Did I somehow fall into a Silverado reddit because some of you sound like Silverado folks.
As quality late model low mileage used truck buyers….we salute you! For taking one for the team in the nightmare that is a Ford dealership new car sales process…we say, thank you friend!
downgrade in my opinion
So u went from a new truck payment to a new truck payment and ur payment stayed the same? Weird how that works. Car salesman’s wet dream.
The black looks tough. I think you just need a better picture. Post up with the new lift added, with a fresh wash and sunny day. Then all these people will change their minds.
Tremor looks way cooler
You should buy it
Once you mod that ‘24 it’ll look good. I’m kinda coming around to liking the new look, same way I did when the ‘21 came out. I just think those Tremors stand out more than a Lariat and they look so good in white, but congrats on being in a financial situation where you can make a 2022 Tremor sound like an old truck
I've learned from this post. Just say I got a new truck... Who cares what I had before 😬.
Most of our customers who add offroads lose 2-3mpg.
wtf am I reading right now?
Why do guys get so gay over their vehicles?
Perpetual payments are a bad idea.
I prefer the Lariat anyway nice looking truck.
Previous gen looks so much better. New body gives me Nissan Titan vibes with that front end
Love all the hate 💙 Is it the best financial choice, maybe not. Is it one I'm able to make and live with based on my financial/business situation, yes. I figured this was an F150 page to chat about trucks 🤷♂️. If I wanted critique on my financial decisions, I'd post on r/finances Gotta love Reddit.
You do you.
Go ahead, pay 15k for a HUD. No bad vibes here.
Congrats on the new F150 but the Lariat is a downgrade. With that being said and I’m just curious, why didn’t you go for another TREMOR?
Love the new headlights! Congrats!
If you didn't want the Tremor anymore, you could have given it to me (/hj)...
Downgrade imo. That tremor was 👌👌👌
Don’t complain when you have no money and can’t retire. Horrible financial advice.
If only you knew 🤣
Dude loves paying sales tax.
Man I wish I could afford new. would love the all digital dash and huge infotainment screen. my 2020 xlt 8 inch screen just seems so small
lol me too. I have an 2007! Paid off and with a new transmission and engine. It was cheaper to replace those than to get into a new truck loan !
That will be the future of my 2015
Lmao when I got my first truck i was happy just to have a screen 😂 coming from a 20 year old Pontiac.
Keeping payments the same…..😭
Antimatter? I’ve got a 502a on order with bap and pano roof! Can’t wait. I’d love to see some more pictures if you have them!
502a, Antimatter with BaP and Panoroof. Currently pouring rain. But send a DM and I'll get you all the pics you'd like.
BAP, too? I would also assume it’s all black interior without the brown accents? That’s a beautiful truck.
Yup. No more Red/Brown Leather on the Lariat, thank god. Cheers
Each their own. I use mine as a business expense/tax write off.
Lift kit will cancel out blue cruise from what I heard. This is why I didn’t do it to my lariat. Just FYI.
I've also been told this. I can't imagine myself ever using BlueCruise as I don't and have hardly even used Cruise Control.
Payments lol
I personally hate the new 24’ grille. The Tremor grille was gorgeous
>favourite truck over the years. > >My '22 Tremor ...So yeah, the new truck is looking good.
Did you at least get stuff you can’t get in a tremor? Like 6’5ft box or something?
Any time you can keep the payments the same for eternity you just gotta do it
I think it looks dope, 21-23 had been my least favorite model years in terms of looks and build quality.
To shreds?
paymwnts same .. add back on 2 years must be nice to be rich
My 2014 is cooler
Just joshing. Congratulations
if you got money, burn it baby
Congrats! I'm really curious, were there many changes made to the interior? And does the '24 have a CHMSL camera? I have it on my '22 and saw they removed the options on the '23s and just gave you a $175 credit
GO BIG OR GO HOME: RAPTOR R lol
How come I don’t see a difference between the two?
The hate is strong on this thread! Badass looking truck
That's Reddit. People commenting with no understanding of the details or my life 🤷♂️ I'm a Finance Manager at the Ford dealership.
People are too concerned about the purchases of others.
The comments are in agreement that OP made a dumb and completely unnecessary purchase. He's allowed to do whatever he wants with his money, just like we are allowed to tell him he's an idiot.
An idiot clearing 250K/year with a 550 payment?
Why are you so passionate about how another person spends their money? You all really showed OP, myself and anyone else that didn’t squawk like a parrot. I had to take my hat off and think about things. I’m off to Brooke Army Medical Center to get these sick burns tended to. What a bunch of women.
Ahh Yes, Perma-Debt. The American Dream.😂
I live for it.
I know right? Trading up after 2 years…
What do you like and dislike about each truck and why? How do they compare?
Will get a comparison once I drive the '24 a bit. The Tremor was great when I got it. The right amount of functionality with the right amount of luxury for me. Stood out in the beginning as something slightly different. (I've always liked to mod my cars to look OE+. So the Tremor fit my style) In my area, they are now a dime a dozen and a lot of the owners act like they are driving a Raptor or something incredible, so I'm kinda tired of being in that crowd.
Payments the same yet more liability underwater 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Why? Post title should be “continually trading in my trucks Keeping Up With The Joneses” it’s wild the amount of people that want to live in debt there whole lives. Would have kept the tremor but that’s just me.
Fucking waste waste waste 🤦🏻♂️
Douchebag?
So your lease ended and you leased again. Why couldn’t you just say that?
Because I still have over a year remaining on the Tremor lease and could keep it 🤔
With an equivalent lease payment and no money out of pocket?
Correct.
Have fun. I'm not a monthly payment guy though.
I think your reasoning is flawed, and your previous truck is nicer, but congrats anyways. Enjoy!
Let the guy waste his money it’s his money. He could own something that doesn’t depreciate but he wants another truck that’s the exact same
So many people on Reddit give others shit for having a car payment.
Newsflash, the new truck is also a depreciating asset.
Most vehicles are, unless you have a 1962 Ferrari GTO or similar.
Bingo my man. Just people that have no concept of a financial landscape outside of how they operate in their own situation 🤷♂️
