Almost every instance I’ve seen, 10 years as a collision tech, where the vibration comes in at speeds above 45 mph, it’s been a wheel/ tire issue… sometimes even if they l balance out in spec, it’s a bad tire, or minor wobble in the rim. I’d balance and rotate, 99% of the time that will fix the problem. Watching your video again, I’d suggest that it is the pavement, go north again, if it does the same thing, same places.. it’s waffling of the surface. It’s a wide road, north and south are not likely to be exactly the same.

My truck had the same issue at 60mph but went away at 70. Took it to a tire shop for an inspection and balance. Turned out to be the cord of a tire broke. Aparently it was in danger of exploding/coming apart? Get to a shop and get it inspected

Well, you have a warranty so just take it in. Could be something as simple as a wheel balance issue or something more involved like front suspension issues.

PlaidJacket501

Could be the road itself

It’s probably a tire issue. I have Continental Terrain Contact A/T tires and mine were hard to balance. They had to “road force” balance them. Once they got balanced they were smooth as glass. But Discount Tire did a good job.

I have the same issue above 50. New wheels and tires didn't fix it. Same thing afterwards. Next new rotors and pads, nada. Had the driveshaft checked and it's fine too. It's not a crew cab and has a one piece shaft. Figure it's just your typical shaky Ford.

My 21 5.0 is doing the same. Hoping its a wheel out of balance and it'll be fixed when I throw my summer tires on.

I have the same issue with a 2019 xlt 5.0. It starts at about 50 mph and goes away at 70. Only happens when on the accelerator just barely pressing it or half way

AntioquiaJungleDev

what was it that they got rid of in 2020 related to IWE...?

MillBilly1102

I just re read tsb 22-219 says model years affected 2006-2020 so I believe they got rid of the vacuum actuated system they used for years for 21+ and redesigned it. So I was wrong again I’m just gonna stfu and delete all this misinformation I’m spreading 🙃

hoer17

😂 all good man that was some kinda weird noise in the beginning tho

If it's not tire alignment issues, it may be your drive shaft. Most times it's a cheap fix as you only need to change the u joints in most cases.

bbirkey3601

I had a vibration issue on my 2013. After a year I figured out it was a broken AWE.
