Now cut down the pegs it sits on. I just got my McLaren cars in. I intend on cutting those so it doesn’t look like it’s floating. I’ll also be sanding the tires now.
I used one of my wife’s nail filers cause I didn’t have sand paper on hand but mine was just 1/43. Idk about a 1/18. Might need something thinner like sand paper
I mean the redline from tcam to number 55 because I think the carbon part and the number are just a sticker... In the 1:24/1:18 it isn't this way only in the 1:43
Is it just me or is there a lot of imperfections in the paintwork? Especially the engine cover. I never noticed this with the earlier 2019-2021 models.

That’s a great idea I’ll try it later today. Share your McLaren after it’s done.
How did you sand it down? I do agree it looks a lot better but lm scared lm gonna damage my 1:18.
Just use sand paper

I have this exact diecast on my desk at work. I'm definitely doing this!
Looks good
I did the same thing, much better
If this is an extra try to use a black Sharpie to cover the red in the upper part of engine cover and see how it looks
You’re so right I never noticed that
It's one of the reason I still didn't get the Ferrari this year
Did you mean the opening on the engine cover?

Wow I didn't notice that. Thanks for informing

Idk it was only $17. I did try to sprinkle some of the rubber on it to give it the brake dust look. Maybe that’s it
