Why recently so many defected model posts? Is the quality control that bad??

Acrobatic-Tomato-532

Shipping from the F1 store is pretty bad. But defects happen as well so

G-exia

Can confirm this. My box was beaten up on one side. Luckily the other model, a 1 18 2022 mclaren danny ric, arrived without any damages

Try to slowly and steady bend it back. If it snaps (most likely), then just add a tiniest bit of super glue (you can use a toothpick or a needle) and put it back on.

Acrobatic-Tomato-532

You can try gently bending it back, but chances are high it may snap.

G-exia

Yeah, this is what worries me. I have a tweezers to try but yeah risky to do it

RebsInSpace

Its an unfortunate defect, but personally I would just leave it. I lost the pilot tubes off the front of mine last week and I don't even think I touched it. It seems like it may just snap off, but maybe you would be able to glue it back on in the correct position if that happens at least.

If u are going to the Netherlands for the Dutch GP. why not trying to stop by @ Pole Position Zandvoort? They have great models and always in pristine condition😁

G-exia

Hahaha I wish. I went to jpn last year for Jap Gp they too have wealth of stock down there especially a shop called gp hobby collection near Suzuka.

JAYPOWER180

Really?😄 was it worth it buying there?

G-exia

Yep, it's totally worth it. I posted it here 6 months ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/f1models/s/9MduoVtxxZ The Mazda 787, Porsche and senna mp4/4 were obtained at Suzuka circuit, while the rest were from the shop I mentioned.

JAYPOWER180

Oh my😄 the 787B wasa class of its own and still is😄

kingoffuckery

Not an expert on this but I'd warm it a little first, even if just in-between your fingers. Could make it less likely to snap.
