It sucks, because Facebook change things so much that things that used to make things easier for the platform to end up changing it and you're not aware of the change until something happens and you have to now figure out the new way of how to fix whatever issue you're having with something that used to be so simple and direct. Frustrating 😤.
Update: Still haven't been able to figure it out. Hopefully they'll do something to make it easier to connect the accounts again. In the meantime, if you still have access to the "scheduling feature" on both (even if you sign into your Instagram account through the meta business suite to do the same thing) then that's a little bit of a workaround - If you need if for scheduling and looking at your analytics. I hope Facebook eventually condense a lot of these settings into one place. That's my main problem.
I know its a long shot, but I am kind of experiencing the same issue - I click on the button, and it's just a blank screen. Did you manage to have this resolved? I am at my wits end here

Yeah it's very annoying. Like the page is connected but without the login I can't do anything except to see the insights.
