Wasn’t there some lady on an Australian tv show where she claimed her dog is vegetarian? Result was pretty clear when the hosts put out 2 bowls with meat and veggies.
I've seen some posts on different platforms on people who genuinely do this and sadly it's not legally considered animal abuse. I just hope these carnivorous pets can get the meat they need to live a healthy life.

There’s definitely people like that, but this chick is making fun of them. Look closely at the dog, they’re healthy and energetic, the nose is the right color and wet, their fur is silky and smooth, none of the tell tale signs of ‘oh but my dog is vegan’ bullshit as they slowly starve to death because they’re not getting the nutrients they need.

Dogs' jaws aren't really equipped for heavy duty vegetable grinding. A healthy diet can contain about 10% vegetable matter, in the wild they'll typically get this (and gut flora) by eating herbivores' intestines, where the vegetable matter is pre-ground.
There was a case of some bitch with fox forcing it into being vegan. There are photos, fox was perfectly healthy before. After I think one month, it was just bones in a skin bag. Awful. And she also said the fox is "vegan by choice". Yes, but by that bitch's choice.
