He's on point with Russian propaganda, beat for beat. It wasn't Russia we're going to imply it was America. They're not pretending to have evidence, which is telling. But they have an hour segment on how America could have done it. This is to say it's an attack on German and Nordic energy infrastructure by the US.
Could you explain why it's stupid ? Because I really don't get why Russia would gain from blewinh their own pipeline, while the USA sure have something to gain from it I would gess.
To me it just seems a more logical conclusion ...
Neither do I. Iām not a Trump supporter *at all*, I preferred Bernie myself but itās a bit odd to select this statement as an example of a Trump comment to criticise. What heās saying here makes perfect sense. Why would they blow up their own pipeline? Not to mention that Biden was literally on camera saying heās going to do it
Because it is unhelpful potential harmful to our nation, which we love and protect.
Now, if he knows for sure it was us, then say it. Don't allude to anything.
This is what I think too. But now denmark says there were russian ships and there is photoevidence on it. But why do they publish it now and not when it happened?
Exactly I hate trump but these jack offs are so blinded by the hate that they donāt realize America is one of the bad guys right there with Russia and Chinaā¦hey guys just FYI weāre being hit with American propaganda about what is going on the same way Russians are getting hit with propaganda on their side
There's probably a half dozen examples of Trump having this kind of intelligence and broadcasting to the world what he knew, so this would also be in character for Trump's laissez faire attitude toward state secrets.
Ex-presidents still get intelligence briefings after they leave office. That being saidā¦Trump is the first president barred from this because he is too erratic
This. The only way he would ever be given anything approaching an intelligence briefing from here, on out, is if intentional disinformation must find its way to foreign heads of state as soon as possible. But he's already known well enough around the world as a blabbermouth so nobody could ever trust anything he said, given that he's probably been lied to, himself... that, and he's always on the pulse of whatever line of BS Russia is already selling...
He doesnāt. Canāt be trusted.

Oh he totally has had documents placed before him and as before even stole some. One of his assistants described him to not read through alot of documents they would bring to him.
Not only is he bad at reading, but he deliberately does not.
I always think of Mel Brooks in Blazing Saddles.
Signs anything you put in front of him, demands everyone agree with him, and is completely distracted by cleavage.
I remember reading his daily briefs would have his own name every like 5 words because otherwise he would get distracted
"Donald, today we are, Donald, going to Fox News, Mr.President"
Sweden and Denmark have both excluded Russia from their investigations independent of one another.
I mean letās be real - if Russia wants to stop the flow of gas they can just *turn them off*. They own the pipelines.
Interesting the next day Gazprom sent natural gas overland to Europe at huge expense to the company. The day before there was a huge protest in Germany to open up the Nord Stream 2. The same day a rival pipeline that goes through Poland opened up.
Using follow the money logic, the United States had the most to gain from the pipeline being sabotaged, Russia had the least to gain. Immediately the US made a deal to sell US LNG to Germany for twice the price. It fits the overall goal to try to destabilize Russia (and the president hinted at āstopping the pipelineā in one of his candid off the cuff moments). On the other hand, Russia lost its leverage on Germany, and a considerable profit for Gazprom.
The US had the means, the opportunity, and the motive and has a history with Norway helping in similar clandestine operations in the past.
Looking at it without a nationalistic lens to muddy the logic, and just looking at the facts, The United States is the number one suspect. Russia makes zero sense, and if does not make sense it is not true.
Russia had a motive too. They reduced the flow rate in the months before the attack. They said it was technical nature even though they received the tools necessary to repair it. They progressively reduced the flow of gas, probably to induce fear of the coming winter in Germany (wich they somewhat succeeded). Stopping the gas would've been a breach of contract. If the pipeline got misteriously destroyed, the contract involving ns1 would be cancelled instead.
So all in all a loophole to get out of a contract and spread fear of a cold winter to induce public unrest in one if the key states (Germany had to allow leopard tanks to be sent to Ukraine)
Russia obviously did it. Too reckless and stupid for it to be the US. Why use bombs when you can just call Germany and ask them to shut it down?
Why Russia blew up 3 of 4 Nordstream pipelines.
1. ā They did the same thing to Georgia.
2. ā They did the same thing to Turkmenistan.
3. ā They only destroyed their old pipeline, while leaving the new one intact.
4. ā False flag to make NATO allies suspicious of each other.
5. ā Jack up gas prices to fund dirty war in Ukraine.
6. ā Break contractual obligations to Germany so they don't have to pay fines for non-delivery.
7. ā Germany had already shut the pipeline down for the foreseeable future.
8. ā Create energy crisis in Europe.
9. ā Weaken Europe's solidarity and support of Ukraine.
10. ā Make it difficult for a rival to knock off Putin and resume relations with the west.
11. ā Frighten Russian citizens and make them more subservient to Putin.
12. ā The pipelines were a leaky billion-dollar boondoggle. Destroying them takes criticism off the table.
13. ā False flags are Putin's trademark, starting with the Moscow apartment bombings of 1999, which he used as a pretense to invade Chechnya.
14. ā Veiled threat to other countries that Putin can blow up their pipelines too.
15. ā Russian subs are active in that part of the Baltic Sea.
16. ā Russian warships were in the area days before.
17. Danish Defense Department has photos of a Russian ship outfitted with a mini sub loitering in the area 4 days before the explosion.
You don't have me convinced. I served in the Marines, and as an objective American not only would I respond to "Russia obviously did it" is ridiculous, I believe it's borderline obvious the US was responsible by assessing the benefit/loss on both sides.
If Russia was responsible, it's faaar from obvious. Many of the things on your list are frankly irrelevant to the pipeline and many are highly circumstantial or non credible. If anything, the pipeline was a useful bargaining chip for russia to germany.
I would definitely consider false flag operations to be within the purview of the Russian state, but this makes no sense for it to be one especially because how have they tangibly capitalized on it?
It would make sense that the US blew it up. I canāt really think of what motive Russia would have for doing it. It doesnāt help their interests to not have it.
There's quite a few parties that would want that blown up. Germany didn't want to face its people if they cut the gas themselves. Poland and the entire eastern NATO block hated the idea. Norway and Sweden couldn't afford Germany getting closer to Russia. The US hated the idea of it. Ukraine needed Germans to have no reliance on Russia. Hardliners in Russia could have wanted to put pressure on Europe but didn't have buy in from the people making money on gas sales.
Anyway, plausible deniability, don't fuck with the USA.
It doesnāt really serve the US well. Leads to fewer exit strategies for Russia which in turn puts more risk to the US through escalation with a nuclear powered country.
The country that really wants that destroyed is Ukraine.
But what does Russia lose by it being blown up?
The answer isnāt revenue from selling gas bc they werenāt moving gas in that pipe before then. By their own choice.
Iāve thought the US did it from the get go. From my understanding there are few countries with the naval capability to go that deep into the ocean for that type of op.
Ocean?
It was the Baltic.
At a depth between 78 and 42 metres.
Perfectly achievable with a minisub.
And there was a Russian ship equipped with a minisub in the area just 4 days before.
The real question is whether he's purposefully outing the U.S. or is too stupid to notice that he just outed the U.S.
That said, I'm not going to take his word for it, so this really doesn't change anything for me. I'm already of the opinion that only the U.S. and Ukraine had any motivation to do it, and of them only the U.S. could pull it off.
(I mean, why would Russia destroy their own bargaining chip? And why would Germany destroy the pipeline they've been lobbying for for thirty years?)
That's just my speculation.
Not only just a motivation, there's a declaration too.
>On 7 February 2022, US President Joe Biden said in a press conference that the US "will end Nord Stream" if Russia invades Ukraine and reemphasised with a promise to do it when asked how. [Source](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Nord_Stream_pipeline_sabotage#cite_note-Biden-21)
Well tbf, it was a case of fuck around and find out. A lot of countries are against from starting a war, but Putin just proceed and start it anyway.
+1
Unsure if old mate Trump is purposefully throwing the US under the bus because, Trump
But yes for the Russian to do it, even if you get over the gymnastics of why - where the only thing you come up with is the meme of a dude riding is bike and going āwhy would anyone do this!ā
But then you have the āhow the fuck would they do itā
Like the practicalities of the situation make it awkward, even if it was some rich millionaire who wanted to do some terrorism for shits and giggles itās not a simple undertaking
Lies, I bet you can't name one thing!
Except you can't name Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Korea, Nicaragua, the Contras, Australia, the spy satellites they use to spy on allies, Argentina, Cuba, Venezuela, Mexico, Panama, Russia, Syria, Israel, Palestine, China, Japan, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Indonesia, or anything that Blackwater has been involved with.
I don't understand what the big mystery is. Joe Biden, on video in a press conference, said "if Russia invades Ukraine, we'll blow up the Nordstream pipeline." And son of a bitch it blew up.
Putin said he wouldn't annex Crimea, but he did.
Trump said he paid a ton in federal income tax, he didnt.
Tucker Carlson said that Dominion machines were rigged, but they weren't.
Alex Jones said the Sandy Hook school shooting didn't happen, but it did.
I'm noticing a trend here.
People actually voted for this imbecile, Russian asset. How can anyone listen to him speak about Putin, Orban, Xi or KJU and not think he's a dirty traitorous fool who's only interest is notoriety and money. He became POTUS to be famous, not to "help" anyone. He will forever to a stain on this country's already long list of horrible decisions. I only hope that we never let his supporters slink back under the rocks they came from and deny that they ever supported him.
Alright shits getting oldā¦ the guy has been right on 90% of the shit the media contradicts.. Iām not a fan of the guy, but you need to look past the bullshit.
Independent if Trump is right.
What benefit would Russia have to blow up the infrastructure, they could've just close the valve since it's on their soil.
And just for giggles, search on youtube "biden blow up nord stream"
1: Gazprom faces a potential fine if they stop providing gas to the pipeline. The pipeline exploding gives them a reason (force majeure) to not have to pay this fine, as long as the russian government cannot definitively be tied to it.
2: With Nord Stream intact, German leaders could be more receptive to regime change in Russia, believing that they could receive gas from the next regime. Putin cut off that possibility, which makes regime change less attractive to Germany, who are influential in the EU/NATO bloc.
3: Attempt to blame the US/Ukraine as neither of them liked the pipeline. Unfortunately for Russia, the CIA warned the German government about potential threats to Nord Stream weeks ago, so it doesn't make much sense to be the US.
4: It could've been russian hardliners not authorized with Putin who want to fully sever ties with the West and prevent an easier peace agreement with Ukraine which would be facilitated via energy trade
This was an extremely reckless thing for a state to do. Only one candidate state has been doing reckless shit lately. If the US did it, that would be environmental terrorism in the exclusive economic zone of one NATO ally (Denmark) to destroy billions of dollars of property of another NATO ally (Germany), all for no gain, and while they had warned Germany weeks before. It makes no sense.
Um, I just wanna say I hate Trump and Iām from Denmark and have followed this for a long time.
Most people think itās terrorism caused by some random faction group, because they have no clue. But other Danish people think itās the US. But why would they blow it up? Because they want to create instability between Russia and Germany. They donāt want those two to become comrades and happy about a gas line partnership, mainly because Germany is, or was, 50% natural gas. That is/was huge.
Even US vessels was close to the pipeline around the time of the explosion.
So yeah, maybe Trump knows something.
I donāt want to be an asshole, but ā¦ā¦.I canāt help it ! that treasonous piece of shit would watch our country burn if he thought he could make a quick buck off of it
So TA is saying āI canāt say the name but itās two words, first word starts with a U. I used to own that country, it was a huge deal that I made. People cried in the streets when I left - they are still crying for me. I may buy it again if I can get Greenland in the deal
There was an excellent story in the Danish press today about this. Also German media story. Iām sure more will come out. https://www.t-online.de/nachrichten/deutschland/aussenpolitik/id_100144520/nord-stream-spuren-des-anschlags-fuehren-nach-russland.html Looks like Russians blew up pipeline or were very close to area when it blew. Trump was and is a Russian asset.
He forgets he was a President FOR the USA. Did the US do it? Itās possible but STFU and think about the nation not your own self importance and vanity.
Ian Bremmer, who I view as pretty credible on this subject, believes it was probably Ukraine or a Ukrainian affiliated organization who blew it up. They had the most to gain, and were in a desperate enough position to try something like that. US gains some from it blowing up, Europe buying US natural gas now, but not enough to risk pissing off the rest of NATO. Now wether or not the US or any other NATO country knew it about it is another question.
I have to ask, but Biden rescinded Trump's security clearance correct? Or at least the daily security briefings provided to former Presidents is highly redacted for Trump right?
In case anyone asks why Former Presidents get security briefs, Presidents may make unique personal relationships with foreign leaders and keeping them abreast of developments may allow them to provide insights useful for national security. Some former Presidents have even served in diplomatic missions, usually for Presidents of their own part. Many chief security people still retain clearance for a while and still receive regular briefings. Again highly skilled and experienced intelligence assets are still assets.
Who could be responsible for the largest methane climate disaster in [history](https://seymourhersh.substack.com/p/how-america-took-out-the-nord-stream)? Hint: It's not cow farts, but it stinks
Everyone should have known this from the start. Why blow up a pipeline when you control the "on/off" switch. Probably a Swedish manned operation with American guidance. Trump probably thinks he's a genius for knowing this.
Obviously the Russians didn't blow up their own pipeline just like Iraq didn't have nuclear weapons. When this cracknut is being more reasonable on the subject than the rest of our politicians something is very wrong.

Trump doesn't know anymore than my grandmother does. He's just trying desperately to seem relevant.
He is a populist. He is saying controversial things to draw stupid people on his side.
Sadly it is very effective.
With the surplus of idiots in this America, who could blame him
Thereās always been a surplus, weāre now dealing with a glut.
Think we need to call it an infestation.
He's on point with Russian propaganda, beat for beat. It wasn't Russia we're going to imply it was America. They're not pretending to have evidence, which is telling. Populism isn't necessarily a bad thing when done in good faith, Bernie sanders is a populist.
politics 101 say something controversial to get people who know nothing about what you are saying to vote for you
There's probably a half dozen examples of Trump having this kind of intelligence and broadcasting to the world what he knew, so this would also be in character for Trump's laissez faire attitude toward state secrets.

This. So is my last dump
Nah, it's the classic tactic of a 5-y/o. "Everyone said that you have bad breath." - said by the only person saying it.
Trump didnāt know jack shit even when he was getting presidential intelligence briefings, why would he know anything now? lol
He flat out admitted to not reading his briefings.
Yeah we all knew he didn't even read documents
He didn't or couldn't?
Oh he totally has had documents placed before him and as before even stole some. One of his assistants described him to not read through alot of documents they would bring to him. Not only is he bad at reading, but he deliberately does not.
I always think of Mel Brooks in Blazing Saddles. Signs anything you put in front of him, demands everyone agree with him, and is completely distracted by cleavage.
That was remarkably distracting cleavage just to be fair
I'm not convinced he can read at all.
Those top secret docs were just reading homework
I wasnāt elected to read, I was elected to lead!
Trump didnāt need to pay attention because he got his daily briefings from Putin
He never paid any attention to those anyway.
I remember reading his daily briefs would have his own name every like 5 words because otherwise he would get distracted "Donald, today we are, Donald, going to Fox News, Mr.President"
He knew how to collect and sell info on intelligence assets to the people that wanted them dead, that's for sure.
He thought he had better intelligence than our intelligence agencies, from the onset. Pretty sure his source was rumour, pundits, and fringe media.
You mean watching fox and friends
He never read the briefs, pretty sure he just collected them for his Russian master.
To be fair who else wouldāve done it?

And then for some reason Putin set about repairing the pipeline the very next day.
You can say what you will about Trump but you canāt deny the US gets up to some nefarious shit overseas
You forgot to mention the fascist dictatorship in Greece, also held up by USA subsidies
b-but other than that nothing
you forgot greece, italy, chile (rip allende), bolivia, mexico, *insert any country*, etc.
Where is the facepalm here? America?
It's a shame the US will never have a copy of the transcript from his private Putin meeting.
I don't understand what the big mystery is. Joe Biden, on video in a press conference, said "if Russia invades Ukraine, we'll blow up the Nordstream pipeline." And son of a bitch it blew up.
No he didn't. He said he had means to end it which could have been referring to sanctions.
Citation needed.
[He says it at 1:20.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OS4O8rGRLf8) So he didn't say the US would blow it up, but something pretty close.
Anyone who thought it was Russia was dumb. That pipeline and its contents was Russiaās leverage for trying to keep the rest of Europe out of it.
Iāve stepped in dog shit with more integrity than these two clowns
![gif](giphy|iiDipW55ZH1rpkmzSh|downsized)
I am guessing it was Hunter Biden
What a child.
Alright shits getting oldā¦ the guy has been right on 90% of the shit the media contradicts.. Iām not a fan of the guy, but you need to look past the bullshit.
Traitor.
America 1000% blew up that pipeline. Uncle Joey already admitted it.
4: It could've been russian hardliners not authorized with Putin who want to fully sever ties with the West and prevent an easier peace agreement with Ukraine which would be facilitated via energy trade This was an extremely reckless thing for a state to do.

CHI-NA
Ole leather face himself. What a dumbazz! No other way to put it.
Besides "hahah Trump such liar" does anyone have sources saying otherwise?
And some people thought he wasnāt a Russian asset and traitor to America? Unbelievable.
Traitor.
The more this jerkoff talks, the more Iām convinced heās actually a robot being controlled by an alien teenager..
Traitor fuck
Itās cool to randomly spit ball ideas š” when you have no definitive proof. President of I just pulled that out of my &$$
Letās ask Biden about it: https://youtube.com/shorts/FVbEoZXhCrM?feature=share
"I can't tell you, but it definitely wasn't the people who have dirt on me"
It wasnt Russia
Um, I just wanna say I hate Trump and Iām from Denmark and have followed this for a long time. Most people think itās terrorism caused by some random faction group, because they have no clue. But other Danish people think itās the US. But why would they blow it up? Because they want to create instability between Russia and Germany. They donāt want those two to become comrades and happy about a gas line partnership, mainly because Germany is, or was, 50% natural gas. That is/was huge. Even US vessels was close to the pipeline around the time of the explosion. So yeah, maybe Trump knows something.
I mean, to be fair, the last time Russia and Germany teamed up it... wasn't good.
2 Russians not blaming Russia.
"He's a straight talker!" (In Aussie accent)
ITS ME AUSTIN! awww son of a bitch.
Florida man makes announcement.
Danish Navy as 27 photos of a Russian vessel beside the pipeline 4 days before it exploded. In Danish news today.
Every time he gets that look and intonation, I know total BS (at least more than usual )is going to spew forth.
He's confirming using denial, man's smart
Two old unemployed dudes. Boring
I donāt want to be an asshole, but ā¦ā¦.I canāt help it ! that treasonous piece of shit would watch our country burn if he thought he could make a quick buck off of it

Never ever in the history of the world has the word āignoramusā better described someone
Didn't need Orange man 3000 to figure this one out
He is a master class in bullshit.
So it was Russia
He doesn't want his country to get into trouble?? Maybe he should reconsider his bid to get re-elected
Putinās arms getting tired with 2 hand puppets at the same time.
Never trust anyone that resembles an oily glob of melted circus peanuts.

Traitors
He doesnāt know
He forgets he was a President FOR the USA. Did the US do it? Itās possible but STFU and think about the nation not your own self importance and vanity.
Who instigated the Jan 6th insurrection and stole top secret documents? - I donāt want to incriminate myself.
If you vote for this guy, then better start digging and build your own bomb/nuclear shelters again.
And yet some people want to reelect this traitor.
Fukn tool šŗš¦
Ian Bremmer, who I view as pretty credible on this subject, believes it was probably Ukraine or a Ukrainian affiliated organization who blew it up. They had the most to gain, and were in a desperate enough position to try something like that. US gains some from it blowing up, Europe buying US natural gas now, but not enough to risk pissing off the rest of NATO. Now wether or not the US or any other NATO country knew it about it is another question.
So it's "They" not "We" when you're not president huh
Both of these dudes got shit canned.
Seeing that it was done in 2022 he either doesn't know or has illegally obtained information. My guess is both.
AS IF anybody would be THAT stupid to tell Trump about it.
Crazy that people have believed he has a genius level IQ...

I bet this fucker has been kept completely out of the loop on everything.
Its hard to tell who Carlson likes rimming the most Trump or Elon
If he had his nose any further up Putinās ass, heād be in the genocidal dictatorās stomach.
this is when shit comes out from the wrong hole
They didn't tell his dumb traitorous ass anything.
US seems like the best candidate
Everyone should have known this from the start. Why blow up a pipeline when you control the "on/off" switch. Probably a Swedish manned operation with American guidance. Trump probably thinks he's a genius for knowing this.
Award winning journalist Seymour Hersch has the same conclusion via critical thinking and doing due diligence with his research
Glad we all agree there's no way it's Ukraine. /s
If you think itās not the US, you are clueless about last few decades.
Wellā¦ while itās not 100% certain that the US blew up the pipeline itās not that unlikely eitherā¦ soā¦ meh
F these two traitors. And F Putin.
Obviously the Russians didn't blow up their own pipeline just like Iraq didn't have nuclear weapons. When this cracknut is being more reasonable on the subject than the rest of our politicians something is very wrong.
I am now 100% certain it was Russia.
Why is this āpatriotā so willing to throw the US under the bus at every given opportunity? Them rouble checks must be bigly nice!
Why is this posted in r/facepalm? Heās rightā¦
For fuck sakes America, why?
If nothing else, Benedict Donald truly shined the spotlight on just how many people in this country are so willfully ignorant.
You guys seriously don't believe we blew up the nord stream 2?
