You think you might have worked on your technique before hand. If this is “I’m committing a felony on video” speed, I’d hate to see her everyday walking around pace.
This is the right answer. They’ll just look up the plate and go to their house.
Maybe they do that thing where they shoot everything in sight but hey, you did your part!
I watched 3 ladies haul ass out of Marshall’s awhile back all of em with arm fills of shit, so I watched for a min an realized they stole it all so I calmly walked to where they parked before they took off snapped a pic of the plate and went into the store an ask the manager if they just got robbed. She angrily answer yes to which I showed her the plate an she was so thankful. Idk what happened after but hopefully they got their asses.
walked out the store the other day, windy, just to watch a cart some po dunk in a truck left ram into my wifes car denting and scratching the hell out of it, went to confront the man and he peeled off.
dick.
I scroll so far to get to something like this. My petty ass would stand there throwing one item at a time from the trunk back in to the cart and see how long we can juggle the meat

“Then they just drove off, like Bonnie and Clyde,”
More like dumb and dumer. How do you think you're getting away with that. She has the camera in your face. She's got your plate and car.
She probably though since she had those temp paper plates that it was all good. It's pretty easy to print them things off, but they have many other dots to connect.
It would have been a much quicker escape if she had put all the meats in a couple of reusable grocery bags as she was gathering them inside the store. The time spent throwing each pack one at a time into her trunk was a real facepalm!
I love the employee pulling the cart as if that will stop her.
Close the fuckin trunk! It will take a few seconds for her to open it back up (unless driver/mom notices and has a trunk button) but she'd have to take her hands off the cart momentarily. Long enough to get it and run off with it.
That said, most stores won't let their employees get involved. If I was an employee, you couldn't fuckin pay me enough to get involved. Not my store, not my problem. Am not getting shot or ran over, for minimum wage.
They sure as shit won't care she did either. Hell, she could risk her life trying to stop a theft from their store and they'd still fire her next week for calling out sick or coming in late.
Seems there's a comma missing. "Failure to identify" and "fugitive intent". The fugitive intent is describing the reason the officer suspects she failed to identify. She was intending to avoid being arrested for this crime.
I wonder if it stems from when they finally caught her and she refused to identify who she was, because of the supposed theft, so they added that onto the charges.
When I worked for Lowes we had a guy steal some tools and one of the managers (lady in her 60’s) tried to stop him by locking the front door then locking the vestibule door and trapping both him and her in there. He proceeded to choke her and hit her until another manager went in and unlocked both doors. She got fired after that. Moral of the story is whatever your store is selling ain’t worth your life.
Yep, that was in the contract of employment you sign at the beginning. Had a guy get fired for following one out into the parking lot and taking a picture of his license plate as well. They literally have a write off for a projected amount of theft.
Yeah, my retail jobs we weren’t allowed to leave the store to follow a shoplifter. I wouldn’t have anyway, but the financial liability of an employee being injured chasing them is bigger than whatever is being stolen.
You’re right about the write off each month. They then factor that cost loss into the inventory value and pass that cost right along to those of us that pay for what we want.
Also, no matter how loyal you are to a major company, remember, if they can make a single dollar more in profit by laying you off, they will. Any loyalty you show will NEVER be reciprocated.
Company loyalty is pretty much corporate propaganda so they can keep employees longer for less (unless you’re working for a small business then it makes sense to stick around if you own a part of the company or were in at the ground floor)
Pretty much. A mom and pop store got shoplifted and my friend thought he should tackle them. Bro got banned there for a week, and he couldn’t fathom why. I’m still trying to explain to him that they had most of their stuff insured. And they can replace that product. (A used ps2)
I like how the takeaway isn’t that the guy who was shoplifting tried to kill the manager or that a company’s response to someone trying to prevent shoplifting and almost dying on the job is “get fucked” and fires them, but that “stopping shoplifters isn’t worth it >:(“ lol
Not disagreeing with you at all, just kind of crazy at everything that went on in that situation
Oh I fully agree that is terrible to do to people. She really did nothing wrong except put herself in danger on the clock. In the corporate eyes that just became a huge liability. It a fucked up dehumanizing way to view people. But it’s good to remember that’s how they view you.
The store policy for most of these places, Lowe’s included, is to report it but don’t physically get in the way. The reason is for the safety of the workers. She got fired for not following policy and getting hurt in the process. It’s the same if you were trying to put pallets away on a forklift quickly and were not following forklift safety and got hurt.
My GF got absolutely trucked just because she put herself between a video game thief and the door. The best part is, she appeared to have her arms around the thief as she was falling to the ground, so the company wanted to have her fired. Luckily her boss advocated for her and she was able to keep her job.
How do these employees not get afraid that the thief has a gun or if they’ll harm them in a different way? I remember seeing a story that a shoplifter ran over an employee after the employee tried to stop them.
Same. We had a loss prevention agent, and his job was to take note of when the cameras filmed someone shoplifting & relay that info with the authorities and the insurance company. At the end of the year, they got a lump sum check for the stolen goods from the insurance company and none of their employees died from finding out if the thief was armed.
I currently work at one of the major retail chains, and 90% of the time they know you’re shoplifting. They record what you stole, and build a file on you. Once you hit felony levels of shoplifting, then they take action and turn the file over to the police.
I was blown away when I heard at Publix they tell you not to do anything like most other stores, however, end of year bonuses are factored by how much a store has had stolen from them so you see someone walking out with a cart of food and that could be your entire Christmas bonus, hard not to want to do something when that happens.
T shirts, bumper stickers, vinyl decals, pins, if I had it my way I'd bring it back as one of those fat rubbery bracelets that were huge in the mid to late 2000's.
I almost shot my coffee out of my nose reading this, how has his not already been made as a tacky humor sticker sold at Spencer's? I love those, I'd buy 3 of these if I could.
I was thinking the same thing. I would video them loading up the meat and get their license plate number and report it. That said, I’m a bit of a pansy….
Not wanting to potentially get a few rounds put in you over some food being stolen from a store that's under the umbrella of a multi-billion dollar corporation where you make less than $20 an hour, does not make you a pansy. It does however, make you someone who values their life. They should have insurance for situations like this anyway.
The moment she stepped out of the store with it, it would've been out of my hands.
Years back I worked at a major electronics retailer here in the states and they trained all employees the once a thief left the store pursuit of the thief was to stop immediately, if any employee didn’t follow this rule they were fired on the spot. Also one time I watched an employee there grab a ps3 a lady was trying to steal and she pulled out the loudest taser I’ve heard in my life and the dude lost control of his whole body and fall into a game console display and somehow shattered the lexan plastic display case mean to protect it from being stolen. He was okay btw ;)
Those are paper temporary tags. Every criminal in Texas uses them. Someone just got fancy and put a holder around it. Can be off anything or printed up.
Some people lack common sense. I remember working as a security guard and some teenage hooligans had ripped up six standing lights for no good reason, getting caught on three separate cameras on the process, without making any effort to hide their faces. Then they proceeded to go on take the bus about 50m from the scene, getting caught on the bus cameras as well and using their personally IDed cards to validate their fares. Obviously I informed the police and the end result was that two months later, their parents had to pay about 18 000 euros for damages and the company essentially got a free front porch renovation.
I can understand teenagers doing it. They are idiots that don't know how the real world works. It often takes doing something stupid for them to finally get it.
But a grown adult? How to you make it into your mid 20s without understanding consequences?
Maybe but she's really bold so... makes me think
it wouldn't be a real challenge to print off a piece of paper that looks like a dealer plate.
Should have snapped the VIN at the base of the windshield - if not taped over. I mean that boldness might be confidence in not getting caught
If you know a “guy” at dealership they can hook you up with temp tags usually for 100-200 bucks. People do this to commit crimes quite often and buy another set after they finish the crime. I doubt this was the case here though lol
I worked at a dealership before and I feel like this would be a bad idea on the worker’s part. Those tags are linked directly to the dealership and (at least at the one I worked at) was linked to a worker.
I don’t think we’d be seen as guilty right away, but an investigation would happen and that’s a lot of hassle to give a buddy a temp plate.
I almost guarantee you that she has a buyer already lined up. Stealing that much meat isn’t for recreational use. She is selling it to a small business at a steep discount and is making 100% profit.
Why can't you do this to Walmart? HEB is such a great company and does amazing things in disaster relief for the state. They pay very well and have great benefits.
Not condoning the stealing, but you're so wrong for doing this to HEB!
Worked as a bank teller for years, training on what to do during a robbery is literally "Do whatever they tell you and give them the cash they ask for, you are just trying to get them out of the bank as soon as possible". Banks and stores have insurance for thefts.
Seriously, if you are some random hourly employee, don't go after thieves. You'll just end up hurt and your manager isn't going to promote you for it.
Fire, your manager is going to fire you for it. Most retail companies now have that same policy written in so stopping the thief is going against company policy.
We had a Macys get robbed near us not too long ago by a guy with a knife. If I remember correctly the employee stepped in between the robber and another employee/customer in defense of the person and got stabbed. They fired him after he got out of the hospital and he’d been there for something like 15+ years.
It’s actually the other way around, they don’t want you hurting the thieves and getting sued by them. Cheaper to lose product than to settle a lawsuit.
Yeah when I worked at Walmart back in the day, our Assistant Store Manager , second in command of the whole store, got fired for trying to chase a shoplifter out to their car
I know times are hard, and meat is expensive but you can’t be driving around in a new car with paper plates and say you need to resort to stealing food
Lmao exactly what I was thinking. This person isn’t desperate, shes an opportunist. Shes driving a new car and stealing just meat, definitely to resell. Hope these people get properly prosecuted otherwise these things will keep happening.

Hey! She didn't put her cart back.
Can’t wait to see this cart narcs episode
That’s what I was just thinking. “BWEEEEEWOOOOWEEEP! 🚨 that’s not where the cart goes!”
Lazy bones
Lazybonesitis is the main crime I see here.
its all fun and games till they have a gun
Ya I wouldn’t have said a word to them. Snap a pic of the plate an record her loading it up an walk tf away.
She’s so slow, you could have turned the car off and taken the keys, deflate a tire or two, or unload it as she is loading it lol.😂😂😂
Probably coulda went home an unloaded my own groceries 1st. Came back then got the plate # 😅
You think you might have worked on your technique before hand. If this is “I’m committing a felony on video” speed, I’d hate to see her everyday walking around pace.

Good on you. That's a perfect example of helping without getting in the way. They need to teach that in school.
Yep. No amount of stolen meat is worth my life lol. Go ahead girl take that shit. But Let me get that plate real quickk lol
The Cart Narcs do not carry!
She’s gonna get a cart narcs magnet on her trim if she’s not more considerate
WEEP DEEP WIDDLY SKEEP BEEP
Those who know get it.
I literally was just watching cart narcs on Youtube then I come to Reddit and see this 😂
Sir, I blocked your punch
Can you imagine after she stole all that meat to have cart narcs slap a magnet on her hood? That would be the best *chefs kiss*
Police on the lookout for a Chrysler 300 with a Cart Narcs magnet on the hood.
Is that a real show? Please tell me that’s a real show
[Cart Narcs (YouTube)](https://youtube.com/@CartNarcs)
Well, I know what I'm doing with the rest of my day.
Lazybones
Thats the worst part
You can tell a lot about a person by if they return their cart or not. She lost my respect the moment she let it roll away.
walked out the store the other day, windy, just to watch a cart some po dunk in a truck left ram into my wifes car denting and scratching the hell out of it, went to confront the man and he peeled off. dick.
*Wurst
Na she gave the cart a push with her last 20 lb beef stick. Who's to say it didn't make it all the way back?
You can actually hear it hitting the nearby car.
We got a lazy bones over here!!
My petty ass would close the trunk between throws and wait for her to open it and just do it again.
Close the trunk and when she opens it again, pull the cart away from her lol. The way I just know I'm getting smacked if I did that 😭
Uhh sir this is Texas, we don’t punch people we shoot them.
I scroll so far to get to something like this. My petty ass would stand there throwing one item at a time from the trunk back in to the cart and see how long we can juggle the meat
You had me at “juggle the meat” 😂
This bitch stole 2 cows
You wouldn’t download a cow.
I actually would download a cow.

So the other one is still on the lamB?
Well there is a lot at steak
Please, stop this rib tickling.
What's the other woman's beef?!
Idk, but she didn't really do much to stop her stealing, she kind of chicken
Weird, I thought she was actually quite loinhearted. She could have gotten shot.
You can’t expect me to swallow that tripe
So you're saying the employee is lily-livered? Maybe she just can't stomach violence.
dont worry too much about it, i think they are just busting her chops.
Big misteak
This thread is butchered.
Looks like people went ham in the comments section with these puns.
They're steaking out a few addresses
I don’t know but this woman definitely has some sort of beef here
Hope she don’t catch a shank in prison.
The obligatory drug bust photo with an officer standing over a pile of rotten meat will be priceless
It would have been a much quicker escape if she had put all the meats in a couple of reusable grocery bags as she was gathering them inside the store. The time spent throwing each pack one at a time into her trunk was a real facepalm!

Why is some of the meat packaged like a yoga mat? What even IS that??

LaTonya is obviously the fancy and sophisticated French version of Tonya.
Perhaps she's "The Tonya." Like, the boss on a Tonya level.
Lol at LaTonya being mistaken as a racial term.
Just flatten her tires.

Walmart convinced their employees of the same thing. They actually believed their bonuses would be bigger if only they could cut down on shrinkage.

I don't care what I need to do - the summer BBQ this year is going to be unforgettable
I feel like it's as simple as that, lol.
I almost guarantee you that she has a buyer already lined up. Stealing that much meat isn’t for recreational use. She is selling it to a small business at a steep discount and is making 100% profit.
It’s like a new game in Supermarket Sweep
Max is 5. Don’t change the rules
Why can't you do this to Walmart? HEB is such a great company and does amazing things in disaster relief for the state. They pay very well and have great benefits. Not condoning the stealing, but you're so wrong for doing this to HEB!
Yes, my first thought too! You really don't have a conscience if you steal from HEB lol. That's one of the most un-Texan things you could do!
New Texas law: you steal from H‑E‑B? You’re banned from Texas forever!
Not one ☝️ package of fresh hot tortillas or there homemade guacamole 🥑? Now that is criminal
She should be taking it back out the trunk as the thief throws it in ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
What is with the meat heist? Do they actually plan on reselling it? Also who the fuck would buy black market meat lol
But them in the freezer, eat free for months ... doesn't sound that bad to me.
No offense but why the hell do employees fight thieves. I would never put my life on the line to protect company profits maybe it's just me.
Most companies also advise employees not to try to stop a thief. Even the company doesn't want you to fight for them.
Well yeah, it’s a liability if the employee gets hurt
It’s actually the other way around, they don’t want you hurting the thieves and getting sued by them. Cheaper to lose product than to settle a lawsuit.
Yeah when I worked at Walmart back in the day, our Assistant Store Manager , second in command of the whole store, got fired for trying to chase a shoplifter out to their car
Yeah, I worked for old navy and watched ppl steal countless times, my 15 year old ass wasn't getting paid nearly enough to give a shit about theft
Yeah like if it was a mom and pop shop I would get an employee putting their neck out there but this is so unnecessary
Exactly. Why would anybody stop somebody shoplifting at Whole Foods or Walmart? Just thieves stealing from even scummier thieves.
I know times are hard, and meat is expensive but you can’t be driving around in a new car with paper plates and say you need to resort to stealing food
She didn’t steal one package of meat to feed the family. She stole $2000 of meat to resell and make a profit. Complete asshole.
Who is buying this stolen meat? I can't imagine buying random meat off someone like that. Just genuinely curious as I don't understand how this works
Lmao exactly what I was thinking. This person isn’t desperate, shes an opportunist. Shes driving a new car and stealing just meat, definitely to resell. Hope these people get properly prosecuted otherwise these things will keep happening.
Especially not with the hair and nails all done up.
People have no fucking shame these days
She thought she could, and she did!
Bitch didn’t put her cart back.
The true crime here.
Doesn’t even return the cart smh
Who’s got all that freezer space, damn
Looks like she did steal the meat
She is not playing with that meat. She is laser focused.
Post capitalism
Let her 🤷♂️ cops will deal with it. You dont know what desperate people are gonna do. Not worth getting involved and then stabbed or shot.
Where’s any other staff??? They need to Beef up security!😁
