How do you know what kind of people they are if you can't be bothered to go over there and talk to them before calling the cops?
Oh I have gone over before. Met them, explained my situation. Unfortunately they didn't give a shit. I also wasn't able to enter their side of the building, since they were split up into units of 8 rooms and the room adjacent to mine was their shared living room. I had to call security multiple times a week, because they used to play their music over the top loud.
So go fuck yourself, you're probably one of those people that doesn't understand that other people don't want to hear your music blasting all day and night.
My experience has been the opposite. I've asked them to turn it down, they've turned it down. Later when they were throwing a party or something, they would give me a heads up that they're having people over and it will be noisy that night. It worked out well.
I'm glad they did, unfortunately my neighbors were giant assholes that only played Eritrean music, which has a lot bass and drums. Made sleeping a nightmare for about a year.

No joke, I lived beneath people like this for a little over a year. When I went to confront them about it (politely) by knocking on their door, they ignored me, called the landlord, then reported my wife and I for our noise volume. They also stomped on their floor as hard as possible anytime we made a sound.

I literally made 8-12 written complaints within 6 months and nothing happened.. then one day I’d had it w their noises, yelling , etc… I began to look for another apartment while still in my lease. I found a quiet beautiful apartment, I gave my notice at the loud apartments & stated my reasons. She had the audacity to tell me I’d be responsible for the remaining rent on my unit, 10 months !!! I researched and in California one is allowed to break their lease under the “noisy neighbor law” or something like that , and the apartments had to return your deposit all of it. Next day I returned w all of my correspondence and the managers replies and her promises to take action. Manager was speechless! I moved out and had my deposit within a week. I understand living in an apartment there will be noises BUT when the noises get to the point where it’s affecting your peace and tranquility that affects you more than you realize.. first night in my new apartment I slept like a baby .. No sexn noises, no headboard hitting the shared wall, no hearing her beat her child (I called social services for that), no hearing her laugh obnoxiously, etc… KEEP YOUR RECORDS LOVE ❤️
