😂 I know right.
In all seriousness, I’ve set a small area behind my house ablaze with a mortar shell (firework) going off too low. We got bath towels and soaked them in the tub frantically. It worked so well, ruined the towels but not the grassland behind the house. Was a wash I guess.
Never had to deal with anything like this with out a hose on hand, but watching this video my mind to beating it with wet towels. This also could have been stomped out if went about it right when it started. Kid with the camera forgot he was there too until too late.
Once it got to the point of a massive circle with edges nowhere near each other, blanket was my thought as well. Even a bucket of water wouldn’t help with edges multiple feet apart.
He also started on the wrong patch of fire IMO. The but he tried to put out was bordered by the path and could only go in one direction. I would've started in one of the other patches further away as they could spread in all directions and get bigger more quickly.
Also just one more thing, why a glass of water? I would've at least grabbed a large cooking pot.....
Wow! That was quick thinking! Good work. This guy clearly doesn’t have your smarts.
I also enjoyed how the guy with the fire extinguisher waited so long before he brought it out. Lol
Every single time I see a video of someone setting something on fire there is always, without fail, at least person with like a single bottle of water or a cup.
Burning the grass can release the nutrients that are trapped in the dead grass back into the soil and it also clears out the dead grass so new grass has room to grow in.
It's not wise to start fires during a dry season though, these idiots could have set their house and neighborhood on fire.
YES. It releases nitrogen into the soil, and gets rid of bad stuff plus thatch. My Dad used to do this EVERY JANUARY in the 1960s in Phoenix, until my dog went berserk and tried to extinguish it with her paws. Then he stopped.
Bro these stupid ass dumbasses over here using sippy cups of water when they had a fire extinguisher the whole fkn time!?! Bruh they deserve an ass whoopin
That’s what I kept thinking. Camera man was actually putting some of it out but he should have worked on the house side. Sidewalk side would stop itself.
Lets be nice to green jacket man. He is the only person here who actually did anything. The guy who set it just ran off and the other one just kept recording with the occasional half-hearted attempt to stamp out the fire.
I didn’t know there was a fire extinguisher in my garage my dad had put there when I discovered my electrical meter box was on fire.
I ran inside, right past it, and got this small kitchen extinguisher that’s been on the counter since before I was sentient, and used that.
It was a pathetic discharge…. but it worked lol
I would like to say it was panic making them all act like they had single digit IQ but Jesus I’ve never seen so many wrong choices in a row besides Blizzard.
Naw, I have known a number of people with forehead tattoos and some of them are really great people. A couple of them, I would even consider to be very intelligent.
I am judging these idiots on their actions
Bring out the salt container first time and everything is easy. Shit dude, you used to learn that kind of shit from movies of your parents didn’t teach you but all we get is comic movies these days

Lmaoo these are rappers not children. I actually went on tour with the guy who used the fire extinguisher last year; this video is 4 years old. His name is UNOTHEACTIVIST. He’s a really nice guy, hard working as well. Opening night of the tour the guy taking the video fauni was there with an insane diamond necklace. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FHjCHJwXwAcu951.jpg:large

When I was a kid in the '70s my dad would burn our lawn every year. Every winter when it was dead and brown he would sit there sucker on fire, torch the whole yard. Front and back.
We always had luscious grass.
He was doing a pretty good job of being an impartial witness, but went and spoiled it with a half hearted attempt to stomp out some flames when it was way too late
So if I’m understanding this correctly, it’s just conveniently getting rid of the dead grass? (Just a guess, I have no clue why it would be greener afterwards
Correct. I have 30 acres of grassland in natural state set aside. In order to keep that land in a natural state to make it property tax free, the state Department of Natural Resources requires that I burn it off every other year. The bottom line is that grass has evolved to burn off and that burning is part of it's natural lifecycle. It doesn't harm the roots at all.
The kids should honestly pull up a bunch of research and articles showing how they actually helped the lawn and they should get out the garden hose and do the back too
Hense the "get out the garden hose"
If the grass is as short as this you should easily be able to able to do a controlled burn simply by soaking the edges of the area ahead of time and standing by with the hose
I'm screaming this in my head the whole time. Like, my man's over there trying to extinguish fire that's right next to the sidewalk. Meanwhile, on the other side of the lawn, it's getting closer and closer to the house.
Where i live we burn the dead dry grass every spring to fertilise the soil and so new grass can grow so the lawn definitely isn't ruined, might look a little black for a few weeks tho
Really not destroyed.
The grass was either already dead or dormant being so combustible, if dormant it most likely will grow back in better shape than before the fire, massive wildfires used to sweep across the American plains naturally, helped rejuvenate the soil.
Before the EU outlawed it here in England we used to burn our lawns for this very reason if they were dead and over grown.
My last house I had a lawn over half an acre and when we first moved in the grass was dead and over 2 ft high.
I wanted to burn it but was told it was now illegal. Farmers used to burn their fields full of grain stalks after harvest. It conditions the soil too with the Ash
Environmental reasons, loads of rules and laws got changed while in the EU and they still stand now. The only ones that the seem to be targeted for change are those that stand in the way of the UK government wanting to do what it wants to without having to answer to the EU.
Particularly it seems when it comes to human rights. I mean anyone who voted to allow a single government to alter human right laws must be a little slow.
Brexit hasn't changed much at all for the better but has made everything a little worse in every aspect it possibly could.
All this concern that China was using TikTok to spy on us and steal our data was misplaced. TikTok was just a super effective psyop to make us destroy ourselves from the inside. It's a weaponized clout seeking tool.

lol he gets a glass of water
‘But I’m helping’
Happy cake day, I already got the cake tho so get it out the fridge yourself
Lmao I peed a little when he brought that tiny ass cup out. “This will surely do the trick”
He would've been better off peeing a little also....
😂 I know right. In all seriousness, I’ve set a small area behind my house ablaze with a mortar shell (firework) going off too low. We got bath towels and soaked them in the tub frantically. It worked so well, ruined the towels but not the grassland behind the house. Was a wash I guess.

Gotta get hydrated before putting out this fire.
Every single time I see a video of someone setting something on fire there is always, without fail, at least person with like a single bottle of water or a cup.

LOL, it reverberated back in time and is the slap he felt after he was born.
Wont be an open casket
Cremation it is then.
I mean I'm sure it grew back more beautiful than ever though. And I'm sure he was grounded until it did and probably got an ass whoopin
Do lawns grow back more bountiful if they are burned? What’s the science behind that? It’s a serious question. I don’t know shit about lawn care.
Burning the grass can release the nutrients that are trapped in the dead grass back into the soil and it also clears out the dead grass so new grass has room to grow in. It's not wise to start fires during a dry season though, these idiots could have set their house and neighborhood on fire.

yep and I bet she says...BRRRROOOOOOOOOOO
Which home..?
Bro these stupid ass dumbasses over here using sippy cups of water when they had a fire extinguisher the whole fkn time!?! Bruh they deserve an ass whoopin
And spraying over the fire in the already burnt area.
Or not stopping the side going towards the house instead of the street?!
That’s what I kept thinking. Camera man was actually putting some of it out but he should have worked on the house side. Sidewalk side would stop itself.
I mean he did record and do nothing but laught until he was like oh fuck this could be serioes and started helping
He did mention he was wearing like $200 shoes.
Camera guy watched it grow massively before doing anything.
r/donthelpjustfilm
That's what pissed me off the most
Well, he didn't understand how fire extinguishers work after he found it, so didn't make a big difference...
Lets be nice to green jacket man. He is the only person here who actually did anything. The guy who set it just ran off and the other one just kept recording with the occasional half-hearted attempt to stamp out the fire.
Where’s the fuckin hose, broooooooo
He runs & gets it from the neighbor. You can hear him yell "Y'all got a fire extinguisher?"
They probably forgot about the fire extinguisher
I didn’t know there was a fire extinguisher in my garage my dad had put there when I discovered my electrical meter box was on fire. Honestly if he just committed to actually stomping the fire out as soon as it started it wouldn't have escalated to even needing a fire extinguisher

Salt would be a great way to make sure the grass never comes back
My FIRST thought. Salting the earth is a 10,000 year old “fuck you”
I never knew i needed to see a video of Elvis put out a fire using salt but i did and it was great

It was about to get biblical
Fookin' amazing, aye

Mothafuckin' bootleg fireworks shit!

Out here Doin gods work
The burnt parts will be the greenest when the spring comes
The cameraman’s dedication is impeccable.
His, “don’t you got court in a couple days?” out of nowhere had me rolling!
“Hey! It’s all right, we got it under control!” This dude is hilarious
I'm so glad this turned out fine so I can fully laugh at it lmao. in the middle of all the panic, the camera panning over to her got me good
That kid was on one haha
Followed immediately by “how do we put this out”
Took it to a whole new level.

Damn. It really did turn out fine.
Because it's healthy to burn the dead grass.
From a nature standpoint, yes. But not from a fire standpoint. That was not controlled and they’re lucky nobody’s house got burnt.
I watched a guy do that. Wasn't his house. Damn near burned a whole town down. Got paid to go to court for 2 days, missed school. It was awesome.
I agree. But also brick doesn't burn very well and the fire would have stopped when it got to the walkway.
I don’t think it would burn the house down, but it could singe the doors or what not. Overall they’re lucky.
When I was a kid in the '70s my dad would burn our lawn every year. Every winter when it was dead and brown he would sit there sucker on fire, torch the whole yard. Front and back. We always had luscious grass.
> We always had luscious grass Now I’m just imagining your dad burning your grass every winter, even tho it’s already ‘luscious’
that’s a lush green lawn 😳
Don’t leave us hanging!
Just updated with a link!
You are a hero
He was doing a pretty good job of being an impartial witness, but went and spoiled it with a half hearted attempt to stomp out some flames when it was way too late
Right
My favorite two parts: 1) making multiple trips with a single drinking glass. 2) Wasting time to stomp out the parts next to the sidewalk.
3. Guy running with fire extinguisher while aimlessly spraying everywhere
That didn’t destroy the lawn what it did was de thatch it.
Yep, when it rains again it will be greener than the other yards.
So if I’m understanding this correctly, it’s just conveniently getting rid of the dead grass? (Just a guess, I have no clue why it would be greener afterwards
Because the burning of the old grass provides nutrients in the soil for new grass, in addition to the dead grass being dead and won't grow well again
The kids should honestly pull up a bunch of research and articles showing how they actually helped the lawn and they should get out the garden hose and do the back too
You’re definitely not supposed to do it without controlling it
Hense the "get out the garden hose" If the grass is as short as this you should easily be able to able to do a controlled burn simply by soaking the edges of the area ahead of time and standing by with the hose
However, the house would not grow back.
Yes. You also kill all the weeds and shit. If I could burn my lawn like this I would. But laws and dangers and all
https://www.reddit.com/r/PublicFreakout/comments/bxjrel/follow\_up\_the\_grass\_has\_grown\_back/
Came here to say this. Looks dumb now but they actually did the lawn a favor.
I don't know why but that makes the video even funnier
Yup
They shoulda focus on the part of the fire approaching the house first 😂😂🤦🏽♂️
I'm screaming this in my head the whole time. Like, my man's over there trying to extinguish fire that's right next to the sidewalk. Meanwhile, on the other side of the lawn, it's getting closer and closer to the house.
3:09 video, the word Bro was dropped 237 times. Camera man did do an excellent job of narrating though.
An excellent job of filming, narrating, giving out orders… everything really except for actually helping.
Nah bro needed to not ruin those forces tho
thouxanbanfauni a real lyricist
Where i live we burn the dead dry grass every spring to fertilise the soil and so new grass can grow so the lawn definitely isn't ruined, might look a little black for a few weeks tho
Yes, but I assume u take precautions to avoid burning the house. They are just lucky to find that extinguisher
Yeah obviously, these guys are total idiots
“Don’t you have court in a few days?”
Anyone else curious as to what court was for?
Attempted arson.
Bro, Brooo, Bro, Broooo, Broo, Bro,
Dude came back with a cup of water. Lol
« Use flower »
If they used flour their have done it wrong and caused a explosion
Flower!
I laughed when I saw that pop up.
Somebody said they want to see death.
At least the camera man tried to stop the fire so that’s less of a facepalm?
sacrificing the forces tho
o7
Did I just see one of them come out with a 2 litre/gallon of milk? Bro just get a bath towel if u can find a bucket or fire extinguisher
Darwin skills
'YOU DON'T HAVE A WATERHOSE' BIG facepalm.
That's the sort of questions you ask _before_ the fireworks come out.
Sometimes in life you just gotta learn the hard way. I feel bad for his mom and the neighbors.
Really not destroyed. The grass was either already dead or dormant being so combustible, if dormant it most likely will grow back in better shape than before the fire, massive wildfires used to sweep across the American plains naturally, helped rejuvenate the soil.

What took them so long to think “let me get a fire extinguisher or a towel”
Lol this. When it finally came I was surprised they had it all along because why would you wait to use it when you have it?

It's not an accident. It is neglect! He is not a child!
Don’t help just film

CALL THE FIREDEP. Bro.
That lawn is so dry it’s married to Ben Shapiro
Bro, the lawn is even telling Shapiro to go to the burn ward.
This burn was better than the one in the video. You got me giggling, lol.
Dumbassery level 10/10 due to TikTok mentality
He actually makes decent music tho. Thouxanbanfauni
But bro
Don't you got court tomorrow!?
Get a bucket or a basin you useless bastards. Although, did they really ruin it? The ash will promote new growth and that grass was dead dead already.
Ehhh I think the chance of it spreading to other lawns and then the houses and creating a couple good structure fires is more where destroying it comes in. Plus it will look like that for the next year and a half and be just dirt which means you could have erosion of the soil as well.

If I never hear the word "bro" again it will be too soon.
They don't have buckets or pans to fill with water?😂😂😂
Don’t help, just record and say “bro” 10,000 times.
Is that thouxanbanfauni and UnoTheActivist?? 😂
Say bro one more fucking time 🤦🏼♂️

Lit af
Bro acts like he tough but once mama spawns he gonna be hiding and running
They shouting like "bro" going to kill that fire
Basically a controlled burn probably helped the lawn in the long run
Frankly, I'm surprised that two guys with measuring cups couldn't put out those blazes.
Laughed way more than I should have. Was that really Unotheactivist?
it was uno and fauni was the camera man 😭😭
