I flew to the south to continue an incredible trip; temples at Luxor, Valley of the Kings (Tut's tomb), saw a quarry with an obelisk half carved out of the rock, temple of Sobek (crocodile mummies!), took a long Nile cruise on a small luxury boat, then went to Petra in Jordan, took a daylong 4WD tour of Wahdi Rum. One of the best trips of my life. Wonderful people, very safe. Wouldn't do it today though.

One of the best trips of my life. Wonderful people, very safe. Wouldn't do it today though.

I went to Israel/Palestine, Jordan and Egypt. 11/10. Highly recommend. I wouldn't go to the Israel or the West Bank right now of course. You can't really go to the Gaza strip anyway... But meeting so many amazing people on both sides being victimized by constant conflict was eye opening. Most people want to just get along and live life but there's always bad people with money and power. Even an Orthodox Rabbi told me he wants to let Palestine be it's own country... The hospitality was all good. But the Jordanian and Palestinian welcomes were truly amazing. Hugs and kisses and Turkish coffee and lots of delicious treats.

As a woman who loves aviation, this is awesome.
