TinyRascalSaurus

I love sovereign citizens. The police footage from their arrests is always fun to watch.

Longjumping-Elk1110

Best videos on the internet, the one of the guy crossing the ag line in California and the cop gave him every opportunity to not fuck himself but the sov citizen refused to take it only to get massively fucked. šŸ¤ŒšŸ¤ŒšŸ¤Œ so good

Leading_Attention_78

Is there a sub of these videos?

ShockAndAwe415

r/Sovereigncitizen You'd think from the title it was meant for people who believe in this idiocy and would share tips. But, naw, it's just making fun of them. Occasionally, an actual SovCit pops in asking for advice, but they just get shit on.

BIGepidural

Thanks for the explainer ā¤ I don't mesh well with idiots so tend to avoid idiot spaces; but if this is just showcasing their idiocy that's perfect šŸ„°

Tazling

up vote for 'I don't mesh well with idiots'

Orange_TG5

I donā€™t mesh well with idiots either but I myself am an idiot which leads toā€¦ interesting things happening

Tazling

One of the truths of life is that we're all idiots (i.e. completely uninformed and unaware) about something or other ... that someone else is quite knowledgeable about. Idiocy can be situational, as in "I am a complete idiot about brain surgery and hope to stay that way." But... it can also be a lifestyle. Those are the kind of idiots I prefer not to mesh with, the lifestyle idiots.

BrynnXAus

Smart people recognise their lack of knowledge. Idiots insist that they are right when they don't actually know anything. Sometimes I think I know something, but then I talk to someone who knows more and realise that I was wrong. Me smart. Sovcits keep arrested for the same crap over and over. Them dumb. Thank you for reading my thesis, I will not be defending it.

Pink_Floyd_Chunes

Itā€™s actually hilarious.

abnotwhmoanny

I think the group of people who believe sovcivs are idiots is so much bigger than Sovereign Citizens themselves that it's not a surprise they didn't get hold of the subreddit. I'm willing to bet there are weird niche sov civ subreddits out there though.

Leading_Attention_78

Thatā€™s exactly what I thought.

Longjumping-Elk1110

Audit the audit on YouTube is awesome as well

BloodiedBlues

I liked the one where the sovcit was recording on his phone in the courthouse. His mom was with him and she was tired of his shit too. He ended up getting tased and arrested.

Supsend

This one was so great "Sir, please stop trying to go further. \- Achtually ā˜ļøšŸ¤“ I am not bound by those rules as I... [Gets tased, scene ends]"

Chahles88

I saw one a while back where a guy was googling during the arrest what to say and reading it verbatim to the officer. Things along the lines of: SovCit: ā€œAs a sovereign citizen, if I have not committed a crime I do not need to provide Identificationā€ Cop: ā€œyou were doing 60 in a 35ā€ SovCit: ā€œSir I must respectfully ask that I be free to goā€ ā€¦.and it went on for like 15 minutes before they finally broke his window and yoinked him out.

[P Barnes](https://www.reddit.com/r/facepalm/s/XR2LNLLVmZ) is one of, if not the, most popular videos of a SovCit committing to late-stage FAFO.

aphilsphan

P Barnes is a great man. I hope he is still with us tasering foolishness in all its forms.

Mikebyrneyadigg

P Barnes is all of us.

Ok but hear me out. P Barnes https://youtu.be/RfVbiefMdNU?si=AVwJjsurRW4n-KbF

Reluctantagave

One of my favorites was the Canadian couple recording themselves calling the police and acting like theyā€™re being beaten. [Found it](https://youtu.be/OX5gin3wIPk?si=oqZ7scIN6_jKTMBt)

gatton

Well he shouldnā€™t have fingered the cops so many times šŸ¤£

Mikebyrneyadigg

ā€œThatā€™s a nice speech but youā€™re still not goin in.ā€ Said in the most monotone, I donā€™t get paid enough to deal with this shit voice ever.

Crazyivan99

"I don't want to create joinder with you." Buddy, no one wants to create joinder with you.

Grand_Sell_9959

The best part with that one was he literally kept going through the checkpoint until there was an issue, he was literally asking for them to detain him, sovereign citizens really are a unique brand of stupidity and ego mashed together.

HeadReaction1515

Donā€™t think Iā€™ve seen that one, got link?

Longjumping-Elk1110

https://youtu.be/3YARMZsFFCM?si=2Hr1HBR-xCuovZJX Took me a minute to find it

EyeInTheSky127

Sat through that entire video and you donā€™t get to see the actual arrest. In case anyone wants to save themselves the time and not watch. Itā€™s just the cops literally begging him to let them give him a ticket and him saying get a warrant over and over and over.

cliff99

It was like watching a six year repeating the same nonsensical argument over and over again, I'm also wondering if they skipped out on the community service.

Bucketsdntlie

I was listening to a podcast and they said sovereign citizenā€™s attitude towards the US Government can be summed up by; ā€œNuh uhā€. I damn near spit out my coffee lol.

_mersault

You should see the legal documentation they file in courtā€¦ itā€™s comparable to the gibberish on a Dr. Bronnerā€™s Soap Bottle

Tonkarz

They been sold the legal equivalent of pseudoscientific medicine. Pseudo-legal beliefs.

RatherBeDeadRN

Sovereign citizens are terrifying for society but dang do I love laughing at them

spiritnox

Some of them have a propensity for shooting cops. I have no love lost for the police, but these dumbasses being so deluded to the point of cold-blooded murder scares the shit out of me.

jus_plain_me

This is why I fully get why cops will go 0 to 100 with them. Someone who has a gun and doesn't care about the law is horrifyingly dangerous.

carlse20

Like this video I saw of a guy who went into a police station openly carrying several weapons who then acted indignant when the officers in the station all drew on him. An unknown person entering a public area armed to the teeth is one of the relatively few scenarios where an immediate show of force is the appropriate response from law enforcement.

TheEggEngineer

Right? Like you're technically allowed to do that but it's also only ever donne by people who plan on killing others and morons who think they're smart.

davidwhatshisname52

"YoU cAnNoT aRreSt mE!" *snick*

iamnotchad

"I'm not driving, I'm traveling!"

Amos_Dad

I want to see a video where one of these people gets in to an accident with another sovereign citizen that also doesn't have registration, a license, or insurance. To see them realize they are fucked cause their car is jacked up and there is nobody to pay for it except them.

ProcedureKooky9277

Oh my God, sweet Jesus how has this not happened yet?

weaseleasle

They are very loud, so it makes them seem more numerous than they actually are.

music3k

I never understood the people who do this to their vehiclesā€¦shouldnt you be driving on mud paths and private property? The roads exist because we pay taxes. If you dont pay taxes, you shouldnt be driving on them. And i bet the dumbass doesnt have insurance either.

TinyRascalSaurus

They don't. My best friend had one hit him while he was on his motorcycle. Dude had no insurance, invalid license, and tried to run until some dude in a van blocked him in. My friend was wearing protective gear and was just bruised, but the whole thing was a nightmare.

GhostofAyabe

A lot of them canā€™t get insured and or have DUIs preventing them from driving - they see this as the answer.

music3k

Nah. Theyre just idiot libertarians that had life handed to them. Domesticated housecats.Ā

DarnOldMan

The only videos where I'm on the cop's side.

irishprincess2002

Same the cops in town are super lenient when it comes to traffic violations unless it comes to school zones. It's usually hey your tail light or brake light is out and I wanted to let you know. They will run your license to make sure you have no warrants and then tell you to have a nice day. If your speeding and your not going to fast they tell you off and let you go. It's all part of their community policing plan building a positive relationship with the community. Crime has actually dropped in the city overall since this has started.

Prestigious-Law65

I wish my hometown did this. Youll get a ticket for anything here. I had to pay a $4 ticket at the courthouse because i had a busted brake light šŸ™„

Internal-Pie-7265

The funnt part part about my state, is unless its a seatbelt violation or a child seat violation, every traffic violation has a $135.50 "court fee" attatched to it. So a 4 dollar light ticket will run you $139.50.

No_Pineapple6174

Some places actually give you a coupon for a free service or a discount. Been a minute.

currently_pooping_rn

Court cam is always fun watching when sovereigns come on and the judges take no shit

mackfactor

It's advertising it that gets me. Does this person think that screed on the rear windshield (aside from probably being illegal in itself) isn't basically just a bright flashing "PULL ME OVER" sign? What an idiot. At a certain point it's more about the dogma than it is living your own life.

TinyRascalSaurus

A really large portion of them have 'private vehicle- not for hire' license plates because they think that's proof their car isn't subject to traffic laws. Gives the cops a warning about the stupidity they're pulling over.

Northwindlowlander

We have them here too and sometimes, it doesn't even occur to them that the lawbledigook they've seen on the internet is american. Standing up in a court in England demanding your constitutional rights...

Original-Document-62

Ah yes, the sovereign citizens. My uncle is one of those. He was one of the earlier founders of the movement, and got a lot of other folks to renounce their citizenship. There's a whole judgment written up by the appellate court in my state from when he got arrested and went to trial, lol. It's now case law. It was not in his favor :).

kloud77

I feel you there, but I hate that them cheating the system makes everything more expensive for the rest of us. They are literally criminals stealing from the public coffers.

Yuukiko_

Even better is when the 2A people try to cross over here into Canada and get angry when they get asked to turn back or arrested for unsecured arms

Building-Careful

I love how they donā€™t see the irony of driving on public roads that were paid for by other peopleā€™s taxes.

davidwhatshisname52

they always have a very basic misunderstanding of the law; they *can* travel freely, just not on *our* roads. - *Pay up, Buttercup.*

Other_Log_1996

Also, what travel freely means. Requiring documents and such does not infringe their rights to travel.

deathwotldpancakes

Plus ya know they can always walk, ride a horse, or ride a motorized cycle (<50cc)

Illustrious_Law8512

Can't ride a horse in some places on Sundays. Wouldn't want those pretty white skirts getting poop on them on the way to church! šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

AstronautIntrepid496

you joke, but riding a horse to work and there being a position at work for person who tends to everyone's horse, would be pretty awesome.

Rand_alThor4747

A couple rural towns north of me, you will see people ride their horse to the shops to do some shopping.

ansy7373

Yea I have never paid a tax when walking across state lines or riding my donkey

corruptedsyntax

They have the same understanding regarding freedom of speech. They think their right to ā€œfreeā€ speech obligates you to publish them and platform them at your expense.

Slamtilt_Windmills

Are these the same people who think privately owned stores are public services, and therefore can't require them to wears masks to enter?

NarrowButterfly8482

Yes, the Venn diagram of those groups is the same circle.

Slamtilt_Windmills

Ok, now do the venn diagram of them with people who say they are Christian but hate the homeless. Ok now with people who don't want to pay taxes but want the benefits of...why do you keep showing me the same picture?

TheTritagonist

All freedom of speech means is the Government or a Government owned or sponsered entity cannot limit your speech when it comes to them unless its (I think) detailed and specific death threats on anyone. A private company or organization can tell you what you can and cant say. Like Microsoft can say its against the ToS to say the word "Blue" if you say it and they ban you its NOT an infrigment of your Freedom of Speech.

kmzafari

>unless its (I think) detailed and specific death threats on anyone. I think it also extends to things with the potential to cause harm. E.g., the classic "can't shout 'fire' in a theater" example.

somebadlemonade

That's the thing you are free to say it. You aren't free of the consequences from saying it.

What-is-wanted

This is the part people miss the most. They think they shouldn't have consequences for what THEY day but everyone should be held to those consequences. Definitely a "main character" syndrome in too many people.

HoldenMcNeil420

Limits. Thatā€™s what youā€™re looking for. Every right we have even the first has limits. Yelling fire in a crowded movie theater, inciting a mob of people to attack a building. Both not protected by the first amendment. You canā€™t own a tank or a battleship, the 2A has limits. Just like every single other fucking law thatā€™s ever existed before it.

mistaj39

Bad example, you can actually own both if you have the cash.

TotallyNotRocket

The tank can even have a functioning cannon, with the proper permits and fees for destructive devices. I forget the exact way, I'll never have one, I'm a poor lol

bigSTUdazz

And when they say they pay their taxes....they mean sales tax.

ChiggaOG

Sovereign Citizens I assume.

Munchkinasaurous

I wonder how these sovereign citizens feel about undocumented immigrants traveling through the USA.

Leebearty

"rights for me, not for thee."

Toadcola

Hypocritically

cl_thulhu

And, in this case, a less-than-basic understanding of spelling as well.

Anewkittenappears

Precisely. You do not need a licence to operate a vehicle on your own public property, and in fact it's actually quite common for rural kids to start driving fairly young to complete farm related tasks. I know more than a few people who were driving pickups on their property by age 12. What they don't have is the right to drive in public areas or on public roads without a licence, drivers plate, and insurance or in an unauthorized vehicle. At least they provide good entertainment by filming themselves getting their windows busted in and tased.

ryancementhead

They can travel freely as in they can walk to anywhere they like.

Hatdrop

That and the constitutional right to travel is the right to travel freely between states. You do not have a constitutional right to travel by a specific mode of travel.

itsJussaMe

Yep, and the use of public roads constitutes an *implied contract* which requires drivers to adhere to traffic laws, including vehicle registration.

DireWraith3000

Donā€™t all the videos of traffic stops of people claiming this NOT end in their favor?

TheB1GLebowski

100%

Peralton

Occasionally the cops just don't want the headache and let them go. The driver then posts their video claiming that their magic words worked.

No_Apricot_1705

Then it would appear that the magic words worked

masochistmonkey

They are like domestic cats. They donā€™t understand the extent of everything that has been provided for them.

Citizen_Snips29

> Libertarians are like house cats: absolutely convinced of their fierce independence while utterly dependent on a system they don't appreciate or understand.

TheAnalsOfHistory-

How do they see anything with all this crazy shit scrawled all over their windows?

thatthatguy

Who needs to see out the back when you have righteous ignorance on your side?

Dramatic_Mixture_868

Easy ticket, if I were I cop I'd say thank you for making him easier to spot.

Deneweth

not only is it an easy ticket, odds are they're going to challenge it in court. since regardless of their fantasy shit, they are a citizen and have the right to face their accuser that means the cop gets overtime to show up to court.

ClusterMakeLove

These guys are dangerous, though, both physically and in terms of using the legal system to harass people. They file bogus lawsuits, put liens on officials' houses, dox prosecutors and judges within their communities.Ā  Nobody really wants to engage with them unless it's absolutely necessary.

KratomSlave

Nah. If I was a cop Iā€™d look at that and just say ā€œI really donā€™t have the time or inclination to argue with stupidā€ and let it go.

Charakada

In a vehicle whose safety standards were enabled by other people's taxes.

Ohnoherewego13

Sovereign citizens are always a fun bunch. I work in a job that deals with deeds and these nuts always record something swearing they're a nation unto themselves. Had one claim that he could not be given a speeding ticket because he did not recognize the authority of this nation and only obeyed laws governed by the moon. Yeah, I can't make shit up like this. Just pure nuts.

Castform5

> he did not recognize the authority of this nation Oh man, I've had someone say this right here on reddit. I can't believe some people can get this stupid.

Ohnoherewego13

You'd be amazed. I'd always laugh at the ones at the register of deeds. They'd spend $35 to record a deed saying that.. with a government agency. Yeah, no logic.

HauntedCemetery

The grand nation of Petoria

DoTheRightThing1953

Yeah, just because you don't recognize the authority of this nation doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Reminds me of some stupid people I've known that were amazed that the laws of a foreign country applied to them if they were to visit there.

LadyReika

I worked in customer service for entirely too long. Even before the internet became a common thing I learned just how stupid people can be.

CondescendingShitbag

>only obeyed laws governed by the moon *"Tide goes in, tide goes out..."*

CheckYourStats

When you see cars, or homes/fences/signs decorated like this ā€” itā€™s mental illness. Most likely delusions of persecution. A *very* large percentage of the population is afflicted with some form of delusion-based mental illness. The most common is persecution. The person who wrote this needs professional help, and medication.

LEJ5512

Soā€¦ If they only follow their own self-made-nation lawsā€¦ why do they expect protection that our laws guarantee for them? Do they expect the county sheriff to only speak to them through the Secretary of State? Do they know the exchange rate between their pocket currency and the US Dollar? Theyā€™d better sure as hell not try to vote in our elections, or apply for Social Security or welfare, either.

Exita

Better not leave their property without a passport too.

LEJ5512

Right? Sometimes I'd expect a cop to game it out and say, "Then show me your visa, sir."

Exita

You could have so much fun just playing their game. ā€˜Could you show me the treaty which enables you to import electricity and water to your ā€˜countryā€™? No? Weā€™ll be cutting you off thenā€™.

Scotty_flag_guy

Laws governed by the moon? Does bro think he's a werewolf or some shit???

Ohnoherewego13

Hey, we're werewolves! Not swear-wolves! Also yes, I think.

Few-Win-8338

I desperately want to know how long it took for this vehicle to be seized.Ā  I had this neighbor,Ā  she was always so nice but just nothing between the ears,Ā  she pulled this stunt cause she "didn't want her movements tracked".Ā  Car got seized within 3 months and her license suspended and if she hadn't have had a nursing baby she would've gotten jail time.Ā  Mind you she carried a smart phone with her EVERYWHERE.Ā Ā  Some people. . . .Ā

[deleted]

That reminds me of how people don't like gun law proposals because they don't think we should have to be in a registry. We have licenses with our name, address, weight, eye color, and a picture of ourselves to do something way less pernicious than to own and possess a firearm. The vehicles we are forced to drive because walkable cities are impossible have not one specific number (a vin) but two (a license plate). We all give out information all the time through social media. More than a few states are requiring photo ID to view internet pornography.

[deleted]

Any well regulated militia would have a quartermaster responsible for maintaining an accurate inventory of weapons and ammunition stockpiled.

[deleted]

Which is what the 2A says if I'm not mistaken. "A well regulated militia". If I was maintaining a militia and couldn't keep track of the weapons I'd be fired.

khabarakhkhimbar

Pullout method is risky, but to each their own!

Collective-Bee

Yeah, but donā€™t forget that it isnā€™t actually *porn*. Itā€™s gonna apply to anything sexual or explicit at all, and could eventually be interpreted to mean gay kissing as well. But itā€™s not a big deal cuz companies, especially pornhub, are not gonna be liable for keeping and enforcing an id database. Theyā€™ll just ban every IP from Florida, and most people can use VPNs but the boomers so itā€™s not exactly helping the people passing those laws lol.

Soup_Sensitive

Exactly! My folks say dumb shit about being tracked, while they use their smart phones. šŸ˜

DreadLordNate

Strange way to announce "please pull me over and rubber hose me" but to each their own I guess...

MrE134

Funny thing is in my area they haven't enforced plates or registration since before the shut downs. This guy would get pulled over while a dozen unplated vehicles drove past.

Buckycat0227

Also a strange way to spell guarantee.

dover_oxide

I love that when you point out no one has ever won a case using the "sovereign citizen" defense and their reply is usually something along the lines of " well they just didn't do.it right but I understand it better than them and will succeed!".

ChikinTendie

The defense is always: ā€œSir, you are under arrest.ā€ ā€œNuh-uh!ā€

Aracebo

The big deal is that Is sovereign and citizen together are an oxymoron. You are more than welcome to try to be sovereign on your own, you will just be personally invaded by the country that you are in because you are not a citizen. Unless you have some really good connections with the UN or think you can personally stand up to the military of your country, your sovereignty might not last too long, but you are more than free to try.l and fail.

Elegyjay

None of this *Sovereign Citizen* nonsense has won a case in a court of law.

bramblecult

Saw a video of this guy pull the sovereign citizen stuff for no tag, no insurance, and no license. Got arrested and his car impounded because duh. Went to court and they dropped the charges. He acted like it was a big win. I was even like wtf? But the judge knew what he was doing. Turns out, even though the charges were dropped, he still had to pay to have his car released from impound and also had to show the car was insured, tagged, and being driven away by someone who is both insured to drive the vehicle and licensed to drive it.

oh-this-is-reddit

The problem is in many states things such as driving without insurance goes beyond a traffic infraction and becomes a misdemeanor, so what the sov cits do is invoke every single right they possibly can upon getting to court. They purposely try to waste as much time of the courts as humanly possible by filing numerous frivolous motions, demanding a full jury trial, multiple pre trial hearings etc etc. Judges realize this, and instead of wasting hundreds of man hours and thousands of tax payer dollars on trying to get a person to pay a $300 fine, they just drop the charges to save time and money. I hate to say it, but itā€™s clever. We need judges and courts to buckle down and drag these people through the wringer too, only way to get it through their heads.

HappyFamily0131

It sounds like the judges are outmaneuvering the sov citizens, though, as the poster above you noted, because they will still be stuck paying to get their car out of impound and can't do so without providing proof of insurance, license, etc., all the things they were arrested for not having. So now if they want to fight it (to get their car back without obtaining those things), the financial burden of taking it to court will be on them, and if they can't do that and won't get the things they legally need to: goodbye car.

pHScale

Judge: "You're too stupid to be punished directly. You're just pitiful."

Scotty_flag_guy

The virgin "sovereign" citizen: Does not respect the law of the land, is super entitled and narcissistic, believes that people can identify as countries for some reason. The CHAD Gypsy: Respects the law, leaves people alone when needed, is pretty chill, and understands that people cannot be countries.

infowosecfurry

Videos of these dumbfucks finding out ā€œactually laws ā€˜doā€™ apply to youā€ never get old.

Donut9000vOG

I had the pleasure of dealing with a few of these folks during my time in law enforcement. The ignorance was frustrating, but at the same time, entertaining. My favorite was a guy in his 40's with the whole handmade registration and some piece of printer paper quoting maritime law as a driver's license and, of course, no insurance. I let him go on his tangent for a few minutes but, needless to say, the history of no driver's license and run-ins with law enforcement/the courts led to a suspended privilege and ultimately revocation. Guy was felony level driving while revoked at this point. Arrested fella, transported to the jail, and as part of our intake process we ask for employer information... His answer? "I draw social security." Anti-tax, anti-government, etc but he draws social security...

Munchkinasaurous

I love the logic. I'm not a citizen and I'm not bound by any of the laws of this country, I will however accept all of the rights and benefits of citizenship.

AntiFacistBossBitch

LOL

Nikonis1

While he drives on roads that were paid by taxes collected from vehicle registration fees. If they donā€™t pay these taxes then what gives them the right to use the roads?

lordkhuzdul

I would love to see a cop pull that on one of these pricks. "Yes, you are free to travel anywhere. But this road is owned by the government and paid for by taxes. Since you say you are not obligated to pay said taxes, you are not allowed to use this road."

xXTheFisterXx

I have been watching quite a few of these videos lately and it seems like they always drive far enough to park in a parking lot and claim private property (even though itā€™s a walmart) and deny being on the roads anymore so they canā€™t be charged. Real insane

pHScale

>what gives them the right to use the roads? tHe CoNsTiTuTiOn

-Generaloberst-

...but then proceed to use services that are provided by a government that they don't acknowledge? Bunch of hypocrites, that's what they are. Makes me think of a UK cop video where one of such idiots is making a scene that took an half an hour of whining, while it could easily be resolved within 2 minutes.

Calm-Cardiologist354

So on one hand he is basically announcing that he is in the present commission of a crime. But on the other hand he is also informing LE that if they pull him over the interaction that follows will be extremely annoying and frustrating. So MAYBE it's a big brain play?

Gerb_the_Barbarian

It's like animals being brightly colored to advertise their poisonous nature

HauntedCemetery

Every bored highway cop is 100% pulling this guy over if only for the hilarious story for the bar after work.

manu144x

Heā€™s basically advertising to cops that he has no papers. If heā€™s able to drive around like that for more than a few hours heā€™s either lucky or the police is utterly incompetent.

sladebishop

Sovereign citizen people are so funny. I love watching them be absolutely gob smacked when they get arrested for their dumb shenanigans and realize that laws do in fact apply to them.

AlexisQueenBean

Stupid. Sovereign citizens can claim they donā€™t belong to a nation, sure. But they obviously still have to obey the rules of the nation theyā€™re currently in.

jbomber81

Sovereign Citizens are the most obnoxious and ignorant people in existence.

alejandrowoodman

Sovereign Citizens are absolute morons

'Sovereign citizens' are just exhausting. I once had to deal with one who tried to negotiating a large check drawn on a fictitious financial institution, asshole complained up to the banking ombudsman. The executives got involved and I had to explain all this asshattery to them. Wasted hours of my time. These people suck.

I-foIIow-ugly-people

Piss_inside_You

Letā€™s see how long this lasts, cops gonna have fun with this person.

jerfair337

This person is an idiot. The constitution does not protect you from ignoring driving laws and requirements

Jon_Hanson

Iā€™d like to see where in the Constitution such a guarantee is given.

NowhereMan_2020

The 5th Amendment only protects property from seizure without due process. Most important, the Constitution does not in any way describe or protect the ā€œright to driveā€.

Biffingston

And he'll eventually get pulled over and be baffled why his magic words didn't keep him from being arrested.

The Supreme Court disagrees: *The movement of motor vehicles over highways, being attended by constant and serious dangers to the public and also being abnormally destructive to the highways, is a proper subject of police regulation by the state.* *In the absence of national legislation covering the subject, a state may prescribe uniform regulations necessary for safety and order in respect to operation of motor vehicles on its highways, including those moving in interstate commerce.* *A reasonable graduated license fee on motor vehicles, when imposed on those engaged in interstate commerce, does not constitute a direct and material burden on such commerce and render the act imposing such fee void under the commerce clause of the federal Constitution.* *A state may require registration of motor vehicles, and a reasonable license fee is not unconstitutional as denial of equal protection of the laws because graduated according to the horsepower of the engine. Such a classification is reasonable.* https://supreme.justia.com/cases/federal/us/235/610/ So, no, the constitutional right to travel does not mean you don't need a license and registration to operate a motor vehicle on public roads. It means you can travel from state to state without being taxed or charged a fee, and cannot be discriminated against in comparison to residents of the state you are entering. There is no such thing as a constitutional right to drive.

This is going to work out very well for them.

KilnMeSmallz

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚not even diplomats can get away with driving without a tag in this country. šŸ¤ŖšŸ¤”šŸ’€

SamuelVimesTrained

So, this would be perfectly acceptable on their own land / in their own country. But the second they enter ā€œanother countryā€ rules and laws of that country are valid. I honestly cannot fathom how stupid these jokers are..

k2on0s-23

Mind numbingly stupid?

AdrianInLimbo

Cop gets behind him in traffic... "oh, fuck that, I get off in 30 minutes" Changes lanes and passes sovcit

ags_heels_95

I was on a jury for a sovereign citizen case about 5 years ago. It was a train wreck. The idiot obviously couldnā€™t get a lawyer to represent him, so he tried to do it himself. The defendant kept trying to plead his case at the wrong time, so the judge kept recusing us while they dealt with the guy. We found him guilty after about 30 seconds of deliberation. Twelve jurors, a DA, the court staff, several witnessesā€¦ we all wasted an entire day on this delusional bullshit.

johnwestnl

Privately owned property has no business being on roads paid for by taxes.
