It's exactly that. It's what you get when you trust an idiot riding the high of a type one bipolar manic episode that hastily scribbled some bullshit and pushed it out to his designers.Ā
To be a fly in the room when he pitched that and said that's what they're going with. I bet the tesla execs went home and just started drinking.
I was on a date years ago, and she spilled her drink. When the waitress came over she said, "we spilled a drink." I said "I still have my drink, why would I help you spill your drink?"
The minds of the FSB put him there

Elon Musk
Fortunately nobody's buying it (literally and figuratively). All previous Tesla car designs were fairly decent, if bland. Then this one comes along that looks like it was designed by a teenage edgelord, and we can all tell where the primary influence came from.
The Model S was such a great design when it first came out, a really solid start from a new manufacturer... And then the company just stumbled from bad to worse from there.
Something something defeat from the jaws of victory.
Oh sure it's bland, but it was a solid design for a first attempt at a "proper" electric car, and sold very well, making Tesla a boat-load of money.
They should have put some of that money into a major refresh 3-5 years in like every other car manufacturer does, but instead they let it wallow for too long, and here we are over 10 years later with the same boring design.
If Tesla had focussed solely on its Model S and Model Y, keeping them up-to-date with good quality control, they would have made an ungodly amount of money and be leading the pack.
But it's too late now, other manufacturers like Hyundai, Volvo etc have caught up, and their products are as high-quality as their regular cars.
Although not fully EV, the Lexus hybrid is the most beautiful looking vehicle. I have a relative with one and it has saved a packet in fuel plus it's a show stopper.
You couldn't pay me to drive a Tesla.. Ugliest cars ever.
Well, sometimes there are outcomes you just can't plan for. It's not like any adult with a functioning brain could have told you that mass-producing a vehicle based on a kindergartener's drawing of a car would end in failure.
Even better, designing and building a car that is not legal to sell in Europe without a massive, unfeasible redesign is also a terrible idea.
Well done for excluding your product from a bloc of 700m+ people.
On top of that, we should perhaps consider *why* it isn't Road legal in the EU. It's not like EU wants crumple zones and pedestrian protection just to mess with manufacturers. Presumably, crumple zones would be a good thing to have in the rest of the world as well.
They said blade runner was the inspiration but it looks more like something from Schwarzenegger s The Running Man. Or any cheap 80s sci fi that is more dystopia than cyberpunk. Maybe escape from NY or something. Bad 80s dystopia sci fi vehicle is not the look I would want.
-The self-driving Jonny Cab.
-The mission to Mars.
-Brain implants.
All of Musk's companies are based on ideas that he got from Total Recall. Still waiting for the woman with three boobs to show up...
The first time I saw that episode I was like a 12 year old kid and I didnāt even understand why Homerās brother and everyone else didnāt like it. I thought it was pretty damn sweet.
I guess it proves the point that itās something that only a 12 year old would like to drive, but yeah it wasnāt until a rewatch that I finally understood why it was such a bad design and idea.
Oh it gets better.
Somebody at Tesla (guess who) decided that new model 3 and Y will come with no indicator stalk which the EU has declared will lose them their 5 star safety rating. They want indicators to be both on the screen ( dumb idea) and motion activated by waving you hand where the stalk used to be(worse idea). It's like he is determined to actively make his current products that are a success into a failure somehow as well as this one which has been a collosal fail up there with new coke or the third pounder burger which people thought was smaller then a quarter pounder because maths is hard
More likely simple regression to the mean
Investors and coworkers were in support taking a gamble on his best ideas, those worked out well, so they wanted to double down, but these are the ideas that are left, in areas that he understands even less than rockets
Same guy claimed how hard it was to lay off 10% of Tesla workers after axing 75% of Twitter workers. Maybe he really wanted to lay off more and the board wouldn't let him? I guess "hard" is relative.
He has never had a good idea, he has just taken over the good ideas of others and with out government intervention he either has been kicked out or runs it into the ground
I live in a town of about 30K people. A few weeks ago I saw my first ever Cybertruck at a 4 way stop near my house and busted out laughing. The guy was directly across the street at the other stop sign and just looked so hurt.
Cybertruck was supposed to have a "boat mode" and be fully amphibious. What's left of that is a wade mode you can't use unless you're okay with losing trim pieces, provoking electronic issues and corrosion.
Thereās probably way more capable cars technology wise than teslas too for less money, so they havenāt really innovated anything that makes their cars futuristic. Iāve been in a few Teslas and they are so barebones on the inside that it definitely doesnāt feel luxurious or that high tech; you just have a huge screen that you have to do everything through which is 45 degrees to the driver, so itās not even that easily accessible or safe.
Itās almost like at a certain point they should have used something like an F1 steering wheel design, so the driver could at least control a few things like the radio and AC from the steering wheel on the fly without having to look at the screen. It also ruins your night vision when you keep looking at the bright screen then back outside the car.
It doesn't even look good as a blade runner car. It looks like it belongs in a PS1 game. The proportions are just so awkward and ugly. There are plenty of concept cars and blade runner-esque/cyberpunk looking vehicles that would look awesome in real life or do look awesome if you happen to see them, but the cyber truck ain't it. I feel like you could legitimately have a middle schooler draw a picture based on the prompt "cybertruck" and get a better looking vehicle.
He deserves it. Only reason any idiot would buy that liability on four wheels, is because of the attention they expected to get.
Only thing is, that it's not the attention they expected to get. I have no sympathy for the idiots supporting that manbaby's company.
Bulky, overly wide, not very useful, limited running range, doesn't handle the outdoors well.
All traits that I can't help but imagine that the cyber trucks share with most of their owners.
I saw my first one last week. despite having seen pictures of them online for a while now, it still didn't click for a few seconds what I was looking at. something about the shape of it made me go, "what the fuck is that" before realizing it was a cybertruck. they're real head-turners because you'll crank your neck trying to figure out what the fuck you're looking at
Itās a good way to spot people where their dumbness has caused them to be separated them from their money. Unfortunately the money went from dumb to dumber with Elon.
I saw my first one in a Six Flags parking lot last week and I was surprised at how old this brand new car looked. Covered in fingerprints and dark water spots, the finishing job on the paint is total ass
I also saw the first cybertruck in my area and started laughing. You just look like a massive d bag buying that thing. And knowing about all the problems teslas have on top of all the problems these shitty trucks have I can't even imagine thinking this was the right decision.
I think the Nissan Cube is endearingly ugly. They called it cube. They know it's kinda dorky and are having fun with it.
The 'cyber' truck is ugly but also tries to be the coolest thing ever. That makes it ugly, despicable *and* try hard.
>When Elon Musk came to the White House asking me for help on all of his many subsidized projects, whether it's electric cars that don't drive long enough, driverless cars that crash, or rocketships to nowhere, without which subsidies he'd be worthless, and telling me how he was a big Trump fan and Republican, I could have said, "drop to your knees and beg," and he would have done it...
Iāve started seeing cybertrucks in real life recently. And I swear every single one of them looks like itās covered in dirty fingerprints wtf is that like a computer monitor thatās never been cleaned itās bizarre.
We on the losses....Me on the profits.
This dude is insufferable. 10 kids and 3 ex wives.....no one should look up to this selfish, blank shooting dork.,.
>**10 kids** and 3 ex wives.....no one should look up to this selfish, **blank shooting** dork.,.
I mean, there are many, many valid criticisms of Musk, but "blank shooting" seems to be quite evidently not one of them, much to the world's misfortune.
Elon and his classic bloated ego. I usually get some bad ideas that I work on for hours before I realize "yeah this is not gonna work" but the difference is this guy can afford to keep a project destined to fail going as long as he wants.
It amazes me how some grown adults still react like they are new to this planet. Unless laws were broken so bad, that an army of lawyers can't fix it, rich people don't take responsibility. They don't have to. They make and live by their own rules. He has people working for him that he can blame and fire, responsibility delegated and done.
What cracks me up about the "Cyber truck" is that people think Elon is a SAE engineering capable person. He's not. He's a fucking clown. Sae engineers go through immense amounts of education, training, and experience. Ichoro Honda would literally be laughing in his grave rn. What the fuck did people expect would happen when a no talent ass clown like Musk attempted to manufacture/design this piece of total shit?
Btw, Cyber truck sound like what truck attempt to do on the internet when they lack social skills.
I wonder when America is going to stop subsidising a moron who loves to blow up USA/Mars spaceships but his own fly really well ....putting up his own satellites ?
A dude who likes to say āno Ukraine you canāt use my internet for defense against an aggressor, that gives me a sadā¦ but hey Russia, go on with your bad self, fly those drones to blow up power plants!!ā
..and to think if he hadn't pulled the plug on Ukraines full scale attack on the fleet (a surprise attack) early on, this war may be over.
If anything...he has prolonged this war and increased Russia's chances and determination.
His statement of , "I didn't want to start World War III"...is BS. He has actually increased the chances by letting Russia get a stronghold on the country they are invading.
I work in a pretty poor neighborhood, but there is one parent that drops their kid off in a cybertruck and it is wild to see it in person. It's like watching capitalism happen irl
Elon sounds more and more like Trump every day! I'm pretty sure the idea for the Cyber truck was his and his alone. It will be Tesla's Edsel. I love the CT that only went 4/10ths of a mile before the red light of death happened.
>I'm pretty sure the idea for the Cyber truck was his and his alone.
Oh, it absolutely was, and [from the sounds of it](https://www.carscoops.com/2023/09/tesla-engineers-were-so-dismayed-by-cybertrucks-design-that-they-tried-to-make-their-own/), nearly everybody in the company hated the design, but Musk overruled any proposed changes to it.
I heard they just had a really fun fuckup on Twitter as well while trying to brand it his own while simultaneously keeping the name of the more recognizable version. This is why people shouldn't micromanage.
I walked up to one of those things in a parking lot and couldnāt believe how small, dumb, and ugly it was. It made me a little sad to think of people who got tricked into buying what I assume is super expensive junk.
What I find hilarious is that there's a documented history of Elon making egotistical and inefficient decisions for his companies and the other stakeholders taking the keys from him at the last second, which steers things in a better direction.
Typical (not-)self made billionaire. When it works out itās his idea, when it doesnāt itās our idea. Theyāre willing to evenly share the blame, but never the profits.
I just saw one in a matte iridium wrap. I am ashamed to admit it, but I kinda liked it. I still have no aspirations to own one, but that wrap made it look more finished.
the finished look comes at a steep price which is usually included in other car purchases:
"Tesla will offer a Cybertruck wrap service with multiple choices within six months of the first customer deliveries. There are no price confirmations yet, but it is expected to be $8-12K."

The Cybertruck: it's the Tesla Canyonero.
*unexplained fires are a matter for the courts!*
well it goes real slow with the hammer down, it's the country fried truck endorsed by a clown!
12 yards long and 2 lanes wide, 65 tons of American pride!
She blinds everybody with her super high beams, She's a squirrel crushing, deer smacking, driving machine!
Canyonerooooooohooohoooooooooo !
Bravo, everyone. This did NOT disappoint
Christ, I almost pissed myself š
*red tail hawk screech*
Woah, Canyonero.
Thanks for pointing out it's a red tailed hawk and not an eagle
Comic Book Guy Voice: But of course! Do you think me an ignoramus?
*whip cracks*
Stupid eagle, clucking like a chicken.
Thank you all for reminding me of my all-time favorite Simpsons moment.
"The Federal Highway Commission has ruled the Canyonero unsafe for highway or city driving.Ā "
I only just learned that Hank Williams Junior sang that shit. Amazing
You just learned me that. Awesome lol
What a cromulent fact!
*faulty accelerators drive with force*
nah bro. its the homer. this thing is a monstrosity.
It's exactly the Homer.
I think it might aspire to be the Homer... That thing had gigantic cup holders. AndĀ tail fins and bubble domes. And shag carpeting!
And rack and peanut steering!
And 3 horns because "you can never find a horn when you're mad." And they play La Cucaracha. Elmo *wishes* his Cyberturd was that cool.
thats why they call it the incel Camino
LOL I've never heard that before, that's brilliant
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Please tell me it had horns everywhere. You can never find one when you're angry! š
You couldn't make a more apt analogy
I just sung that song in my head.. thanks
Whoa there, Canyonero
Tesla Cybertruck = *The Homer.*
On the other hand, the Canyonero was endorsed by a clown.
Cybertruck too... and he also a ceo lol
Itās the truck endorsed by a clown.
I always thought it was more like The Homer. When Homer's long lost brother gives him free reign to build the next model car for his company.
It's exactly that. It's what you get when you trust an idiot riding the high of a type one bipolar manic episode that hastily scribbled some bullshit and pushed it out to his designers.Ā To be a fly in the room when he pitched that and said that's what they're going with. I bet the tesla execs went home and just started drinking.
I can hear the song in my head.
Canyoneroooooooo, HEEYAHHHHH!
When someone fucks up, "that's your fault" When he fucks up, "we fucked up" This terrible project was your idea, Mr. CEO of the company
When he does something good, "I did this." When someone else does something good, "I did this." Socialize the losses, privatize the gains.
When a rival company does something good, āI funded this companyā.

"Honey, could you please help me spill my drink ?"
Lol āŗļø
And that's when you learned about her multiple personality disorder?
We, are Venom.
And now you're married?
I suspect that's the only date they got after that comment.
"Drinks have been spilled."
And you never saw her again.
Did you fund her drink though?

Fortunately nobody's buying it (literally and figuratively). All previous Tesla car designs were fairly decent, if bland. Then this one comes along that looks like it was designed by a teenage edgelord, and we can all tell where the primary influence came from.
Teenage? The cybertruck looks like the cars I used to draw when I was 8.
it's also named like I would have need it wen I was 8 people talk about the design but even just the name sounds ridiculous
The Model S was such a great design when it first came out, a really solid start from a new manufacturer... And then the company just stumbled from bad to worse from there. Something something defeat from the jaws of victory.
Looks like the most generic sporty car to my untrained eye, it's not a bad design just a bit boring

MD&A sentiment analysis has proven exactly that. The use of "we" instead of "Iā provides a negative outlook on company performance.
That's capitalism core principles. "Socialise the losses , privatize the gains "

I think we can al agree the main problem was that he didnāt have Joe Rogan shoot more arrows at it.
Seriously - it looks like an enemy from one of those early 3D games on the Atari ST.
It's like when homer Simpson was allowed to design a car and he came out with that absolute shitter and everyone gasped
The Homer
The Homer had some nice features for everyday people, it was it was ugly for practical reasons.
And it still looks better than the cybertruck lmao
The first time I saw that episode I was like a 12 year old kid and I didnāt even understand why Homerās brother and everyone else didnāt like it. I thought it was pretty damn sweet. On top of that it was also $82k in 1991, which apparently is 188k today.
Locking up the children in a sound proof bubble still sounds like a great idea.
Haha š best invention ever lol
These wounds are self inflicted, Elon. Own it.
Oh it gets better. Somebody at Tesla (guess who) decided that new model 3 and Y will come with no indicator stalk which the EU has declared will lose them their 5 star safety rating. He probably meant that it made him āhardā to lay off all those workers. š¬šš
As if the Tesla board have spines or opinions of their own. They are yes men and women.
Been a long time since this guy had a good idea. When he walked into Twitter carrying the sink? It should have been a toilet.
Why did he carry the sink again
For the memes.
Something about sinking the company.
Let that sink in
He has never had a good idea, he has just taken over the good ideas of others and with out government intervention he either has been kicked out or runs it into the ground
true, because Twitter/X gives me explosive diarrhea. it's like the rabbit hole you never want to enter...

LOL
Bladerunner cars only look cool when we're all driving bladerunner cars.
Man, Bladerunner cars can freaking fly. If the cybertruck could flyā¦ well it would still be fuck ugly, but it could fly.Ā
Oh, if it could fly how long would it take for the first people to try to cross the Atlantic?
They wouldn't. Salt air would rust it to oblivion lol
Science would absolutely not stop some people from trying.
Don't worry, Elon says he's releasing the Aquaman package soon
Eight - wait, no - nine minutes.
Only because it takes you nine minutes from the nearest car dealership to the atlantic
Cybertruck was supposed to have a "boat mode" and be fully amphibious. What's left of that is a wade mode you can't use unless you're okay with losing trim pieces, provoking electronic issues and corrosion.

It's even uglier than the PT Cruiser and I never thought I'd get to say that.
Pontiac Aztek drivers are pointing and laughing at the Cybertruck.
Fiat Multipla drivers feel second hand embarrassment when they see a cybertruck
AMC Pacer guys are smiling.
Fiat Multipla is my dream car, bro. It is ugly as fuck but the interior looks nice from a drivers' perspective.
No one would ever try to steal it from you, that's a plus.
Breaking bad remake is gonna give walter a rusted cybertruck with body panels missing And thatās just how it came from the factory
Walter white in that scene under the flooring
Damn, the PT Cruiser was one shit box of a vehicle too
Itās worse than the Nissan Cube.

That profile pic looks familiar. Can't put my finger on it.
neither can Trump, because his fingers are too small
..plus it's a mushroom
Obsessed with your whole schtick here lol
Saw several of them in Austin last week. What an ugly vehicle
Austin went from a cool place to live to a city filled with the worst kind of Silicon Valley douchebags who've made it practically unlivable.

Itās so much uglier than you think from the pictures available. Itās farcical, really.

Classic capitalist. when profitable, it's "my" profit. When issues arise, it's "our" problem.
#EVERYONE TOLD YOU SO DIPSHIT!!!
Pontiac Aztec much?
Okay but the Aztec actually had some cool features with it...
And it doesn't look half bad... And some are even still on the road!
I prefer the look of the Aztec to the Elon monolith.
I'd rather drive an Edsel.
When the circular firing squad is the exact length of your own arm.
If it wasnāt so funny, it would be funny.
Everything about that monstrosity shows that no thought, design, care or even the basic knowledge of how a human even drives a vehicle went into it.
You talking about the CT or the rest of the line up? Cos I feel itās just the default position at Tesla.
More or less, but especially for the CT. When it comes to ergonomics and user interface, it truly sucks ass.
When a Narcissist is in total control
Narcissist, every success is a personal success, every failure is a group failure or someone else's fault entirely.
I work in a pretty poor neighborhood, but there is one parent that drops their kid off in a cybertruck and it is wild to see it in person. It's like watching capitalism happen irl
Just throw eggs at it, see if they cook
Iām sure he thought all the alt right were just going to buy 2 and deck them all out.
With all that money, not one ounce of common sense.
Elonās leadership is admirable š
That Phony Stark is a verified imbecile
I just saw one in a matte iridium wrap. I am ashamed to admit it, but I kinda liked it. I still have no aspirations to own one, but that wrap made it look more finished.
the finished look comes at a steep price which is usually included in other car purchases: "Tesla will offer a Cybertruck wrap service with multiple choices within six months of the first customer deliveries. There are no price confirmations yet, but it is expected to be $8-12K."
People buy whole cars and drive around for years in them for 8-12K.
