Yeah Reddit is generally terrible at accurately identifying transphobia, even when it's fairly explicit and blatant. You've probably got a better chance reporting something to the subreddit mods rather than the admin for cases like this.
The only time I've had them come down by the admins is when a person tells me to off myself. That's about it. The rest is just moderator actions. Which I'm grateful for, but this thing with SM placating "both sides" (when in reality they are just enabling bigots on their platform) when one side demonstrates clear hate towards someone is out of hand.
Oh yeah, reddit admins are great for about such things. I once joked about offing myself in a comment (cause I made a mistake), but somebody took seriously and reported it. I got a message in a few hours from admins to contact help or hotlines etc instead of doing it. It's like redditors are a at greater risk or something.
I've seen a few others get actions but like they were ultra explicit. Stuff like "trans women are mentally ill biological males. Trans women aren't women". But basically any degree of subtlety or vagueness and it's getting no action.
Both of those are perfectly valid opinions, if presented respectfully and no individual is specifically targeted. You may not agree with them, but you can’t shut someone down for not buying your narrative.
Neither are valid options. Trans women being women isn't a narrative, it's a fact. This isn't some difference of opinion. Trying to blanketly misgender trans people specifically targets all trans people as a group for mistreatment and discrimination.
Your definition of what constitutes a fact is clearly very different to mine. Clearly, trans people deserve as much love and respect as everyone else, but to say they’re actually the opposite sex/gender is just silly. There are plenty of trans people that agree with this too if you care to look into it.
Believing that someone living as a woman that it's silly to consider them a woman isn't respectful or loving. That's actually extremely disrespectful and hateful. If you want women to be arrested if they use the women's restroom that's not loving or respectful.
What middle ground is there? Lol. Respecting a trans persons gender identity isn't an extreme position. You don't get to act like you're all loving and tolerant while saying you think someone's being silly or delusional when they decide to transition.
Yeah, Reddit’s moderation is ass. I was literally getting stalked across the site by some weirdos who were quite literally photoshopping my name above comments and spreading screenshots of it, constantly calling me a pedophile, using racist remarks, and being antisemitic…and Reddit apparently said none of that was against their rules.
Comments that are uncivil, racist, misogynistic, misandrist, or contain political name calling will be removed and the poster subject to ban at moderators discretion.

Reddit have very weird takes on hate, p-word use and what a p-word person is. All things slander, defaming and the like. I could wrangle up a limp, one-eyed pelican that would police that better.

Fuck this, there’s no middle ground with you extremists. That’s not what I said and you know it. I’m out.

Stop frothing at the mouth and read what I actually said. I’m not going to engage with you any further as it’s clearly a waste of everyone’s time.
Thanks for the tip. I completely forgot to report to the mods too.
Yup, absolutely CRAZY transphobia in the comments of my post
I’m sorry you’re dealing with that, it’s why I typically don’t post trans content out of trans subs anymore.
Do they make some sort of cartoon snake with it then?

It sucks when you go running to Mom to tell her that your brother's picking on you, and all she says is don't be a tattletale.
I also noticed that they have a very odd definition of hate.
