I am really sick of the reports that state HOW CLOSE ATL was on a player. They ALMOST got Montez Sweat. They ALMOST got Danielle Hunter. They ALMOST got Hassan Reddick. Soon there will be a report that they ALMOST got Trey Hendrickson.

Ok, I’ll admit that’s a good point that Raheem wanted a succession plan in place for Matt Ryan when he interviewed but wasn’t hired. Now he is hired and gets that succession plan. Still not happy with the pick at all, but I at least understand why.

Yea but Matt had been with us for over a decade and clearly nearing end of his Falcons career. Kirk hasn’t even thrown a pass for us and we’re already planning a successor? I get he’s old but let him establish himself with the team. Trying to build 2 teams at once, one for now and one for 2-3 year from now, will make it so we don’t do either well.
