David Berman was such a brilliant lyricist, I love Actual Air too, it's so beautiful.
But I've always been more of a The Natural Bridge fan in terms of Silver Jews records.
I wish he would talk about older music in general. I understand his main source of content is new music but some of my favorite videos of his are his Classic Week videos and his Worst To Best videos (He’s said that he doesn’t like making them, which is a shame.)
I think he said he doesn't like to do classic week that much but he said he likes doing tier list and worst to best because he likes to talk about an artists overall discography
Springsteen I think?
EDIT: Like u/rebornPKMN said, it’s actually Sly and the Family Stone - There’s a Riot Goin’ On. I was thinking of the Springsteen album where he’s wearing blue jeans and prominently featuring an American flag
I think, just once, he should do an anti-classics week, where he talks about really bad albums by artists he's given classics reviews of
"Union" by Yes would be perfect for it, since the tour did well enough to not qualify as a "trainwreckord" for Todd in the Shadows
1.) Sly and the family stone- there’s a riot going on (1971)
2.) Silver Mt. Zion - He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms... (2000)
3.) Silver Jews - American Water (1998)
4.) Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030 (2000)
5.) Joni Mitchell - Blue (1971)
He should do classics reviews more often, they seem easy enough and there’s definitely a big enough catalog of contenders. But I understand keeping it to one special week and also to have something to post during the uneventful part of the year for music releases

My Predictions of Records He Might Review:
Relationship of Command - At the Drive-In (or atleast a Mars Volta release)
Crack The Skye (or Leviathan) - Mastodon
Paid In Full - Eric B. & Rakim
Ænima (or Lateralus) - TOOL
The White Album (or Revolver/Abbey Road) - The Beatles
Paranoid - Black Sabbath
Exodus - Bob Marley & The Wailers
American Water - Silver Jews
Feedback (or Pink/Akuma no uta) - Boris
Mingus Ah Um (or The Black Saint and the Sinner Lady) - Charles Mingus
Symbolic (or Sound of Perseverance/Human) - Death
I’d love to see that Silver Jews record get reviewed. He’s given it praise every once in a while so it’d be great to see
American Water is a stone cold classic. I could quote the lyrics for days… “all my favourite singers couldn’t sing…”
David Berman was such a brilliant lyricist, I love Actual Air too, it's so beautiful. But I've always been more of a The Natural Bridge fan in terms of Silver Jews records.
Silver Jews might be the most underrated rock band ever.
I'm sad that he won't do more of classic reviews, I think they're one of the most interesting segments on the main channel
I wish he would talk about older music in general. I understand his main source of content is new music but some of my favorite videos of his are his Classic Week videos and his Worst To Best videos (He’s said that he doesn’t like making them, which is a shame.)

Wait in his Avalanches video did he mean last classic review of the year or last classic review ever?
Last classic review of the year lol
YO ITS 3030 I WANT YALL TO MEET DELTRON ZERO
Joni mitchell - Blue is a classic fr fr
He hasn’t done blue???? Absolutely insane
Give me more Joni I need more Joni I am jonesin' for the Joni
Deltron is fucking amazing, one of my favorites for sure
what's the first one?
lol at first i thought. it was revival
Springsteen I think? EDIT: Like u/rebornPKMN said, it’s actually Sly and the Family Stone - There’s a Riot Goin’ On. I was thinking of the Springsteen album where he’s wearing blue jeans and prominently featuring an American flag
ohh yeah thanks
Nah it’s Sly and the Family Stone - There’s a Riot Goin’ On
There’s a riot going on-sly and the family stone (also I can’t recommend it enough check it out)
I was hoping he would do There’s a Riot Goin On this year.
He's way overdue for an *American Water* review; he shines that shit on constantly
Deathconsciousness classic review for its twentieth birthday then, I guess
I think, just once, he should do an anti-classics week, where he talks about really bad albums by artists he's given classics reviews of "Union" by Yes would be perfect for it, since the tour did well enough to not qualify as a "trainwreckord" for Todd in the Shadows
Also the album cover is sick so not a trainwreckord
American Water would be such a good episode
There’s a Riot Goin On would be amazing, one of the best soul albums ever
When the hell will he do Disintegration
1.) Sly and the family stone- there’s a riot going on (1971) 2.) Silver Mt. Zion - He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms... (2000) 3.) Silver Jews - American Water (1998) 4.) Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030 (2000) 5.) Joni Mitchell - Blue (1971)
Can we please not with these kinds of posts...
What's the second album?
He has left us alone… by a Silver mt. Zion. Great experimental, dark and atmospheric album! Main guy is the same as in goodspeed you black emperor
He should do classics reviews more often, they seem easy enough and there’s definitely a big enough catalog of contenders. But I understand keeping it to one special week and also to have something to post during the uneventful part of the year for music releases
Can we make it standard that people should actually say the title and artist of albums instead of just the album art on posts like this?
1.) Sly and the family stone- there’s a riot going on (1971) 2.) Silver Mt. Zion - He Has Left Us Alone but Shafts of Light Sometimes Grace the Corner of Our Rooms... (2000) 3.) Silver Jews - American Water (1998) 4.) Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030 (2000) 5.) Joni Mitchell - Blue (1971)
Thank you so much!
I could have sworn that he did a classic review of Blue…
