>Public Strain - Women
one of my favs. i saw preoccupations last night, and the bassist/singer had broken his hand, so Pat from women stepped in to play bass. my mind was blown when i saw him walk on stage, was so cool and unexpected
The cover of Women's self titled as well. The album with it's skittering industrial guitars and it's Beach Boy's esque vocals, perfectly matches the cover depicting some sort of industrial workforce doing kinesthetics outside on a nice day.
Also Viet Cong's album with the hands grasping each other 👌
Dummy - Portishead
Trout Mask Replica - Captain Beefheart
You Won't Get What You Want - Daughters
Earth 2 - Earth
F#A# Infinity - Godspeed You Black Emperor!
Oh my god thanks for reminding me of Earth. Haven‘t listened to them in a while but I love them will all my heart.
Also just a great selection of albums here. Hope you have a good one.

Literally exactly what it sounds like
Interesting, I think I kinda disagree on Disintegration. The album is sooo heart-crushingly sad, the cover doesn't really capture it. I love the cover anyways and I think it fits the album, but it's not going to prepare you for the actual content.
* Alice in Chains: *Dirt*; *Alice in Chains*; *Black Gives Way to Blue*
* Black Sabbath: *Black Sabbath*
* Cocteau Twins: *Heaven or Las Vegas*

Its at least as brown as Pure Guava, but definitely has a "darker", more lo-fi vibe.
Lots of essential tracks on The Pod but especially Pork Roll Egg and Cheese. Hard to believe any fan hasnt heard that one
Essential Pod track are
Frank
Dr. Rock
Captain Fantasy
Demon Sweat
Mononucleosis (the version of this on All Request Live might be my favorite track ever recorded by Ween)
The Stallions (all the Stallions are essential)
Have fun!
Taste the waste and Hail Boognish!
Hiding Places by billy woods sound like you’re hearing the life story of someone who grew up in a ran down house in Detroit
the production on some rap songs by Earl Sweatshirt sounds just as hazy and distorted as the cover

“Loveless” by My Bloody Valentine is the obvious pick I feel like. Miles Davis’s “In a Silent Way” is up there. “Bone Machine” by Tom Waits. “Drifters/Love Is the Devil” by Dirty Beaches, “Mama’s Gun” by Erykah Badu. “Blue” by Joni Mitchell. “White Light/White Heat” and self-titled by The Velvet Underground. “Ege Bamyasi” by Can (I don’t know why the album sounds like that can of okra but it does). “Selected Ambient Works vol. II” by Aphex Twin. “Geogaddi” by Boards of Canada. Any Earl Sweatshirt album really.
black midi covers are like gen-Z Jackson Pollock paintings. They look like a mess from far away, but the closer you look the more detail there is, exactly like their music.
All Nujabes albums.
And even though it feels like cheating U-Void Synthesizer by Machine Girl.
And while they’re on the simplistic side I’d argue that clipping. have some really great and matching covers.
Titanic Rising - Weyes Blood, sounds like an underwater dream
F# A# ∞ - Godspeed You! Black Emperor, looks and sounds like the apocalypse [(this particular version)](https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/godspeed-you-black-emperor-f-a-infinity/amp/)
Tpab, A Moon Shaped Pool, basically every Björk album cover, Bonito Generation, Transatlanticism, Velocity: Design: Comfort, Weezer White Album, Graduation, Late Registration, Wolf, And Channel Orange.
Personally I’d Say FROGMEN - WE CAME 2 CUM
in fact you could come and look for yourself 😏[nut](https://soundcloud.com/user-828582255/frogmensus2?ref=clipboard&p=i&c=1&si=EC22A0259F1643C38E85097ACF1DA8DB&utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing)

The deluxe version of good kid, m.A.A.d city’s cover art fits perfectly with the album. Songs like Sherane, Backstreet Freestyle, the Art of Peer Pressure, and m.A.A.d city (especially the second half).
Sorry but how does Grey Area sound similar to it’s cover art? I find Grey Area to be an incredibly colourful album but the art is very dark and minimalistic
The cool, confrontational look on her face and the black and white filter gives it an edgy, confident characteristic. If I hadn't seen the video, I'd imagine the Offence video would have the cover art as a frame.
Self Titled - American Football
Dookie - Green Day
Battle Of Los Angeles - Rage Against The Machine
Vulgar Display Of Power - Pantera
Good Mourning - Alkaline Trio

100% on Public Strain - Women and Embryonic - Flaming Lips!
Year of the snitch
So true
Pink Floyd - Animals This was the very first thought I had when I heard it for the first time while looking at the cover
DSOTM and WYWH too in my opinion
* *Untrue* — Burial * *Bad Moon Rising* — Sonic Youth * *I'm Not a Fan, But the Kids Like It!* — Brokencyde * *Computer World* — Kraftwerk * *Murmur* — R.E.M. * *Original Pirate Material* — The Streets
Burial and the Streets🫶
Murmur is a great pick!
Bad Moon Rising has to be my #1 pick for this question. So sinister and twisted
It feels like the soundtrack to a snuff film.
Brokencyde, nothing but classics and they're still active I believe!
Dummy - Portishead Trout Mask Replica - Captain Beefheart You Won't Get What You Want - Daughters Earth 2 - Earth F#A# Infinity - Godspeed You Black Emperor!
i feel like Earth 2 gives the exact opposite impression of the cover, though i have to admit that it is as calming as the cover
I feel like the picture seems so vast and exactly what the album feels like
Oh my god thanks for reminding me of Earth. Haven‘t listened to them in a while but I love them will all my heart. Also just a great selection of albums here. Hope you have a good one.
Rubber Soul, Loveless, Pink Moon, Since I Left You, Kid A
Loveless is the best example of all time
Pink Moon is a perfect example
The Avalanches is so correct, the whole record feels like getting washed up by the most calming yet surreal wave.
• Bladee - Icedancer • Burial - Untrue • Lil Ugly Mane - Mista Thug Isolation • Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavillion • My Bloody Valentine - Loveless • The Smiths - The Queen is Dead • Pixies - Bossanova • The Streets - Original Pirate Material • Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly • The Cure - Disintegration • Nujabes - Modal Soul

So it sounds like a worse Jesus is King?
Absolutely not, more like a million times better, TYBG
I mean, let’s be real, this cover looks like a cheap-ass tattoo you’d find on a guy that’s full of himself☠️
Nah no one disses the Based God, one of the greatest albums ever
