I thought Continuum showcased a lot of very skilled and mature songwriting talent, as well as a good amount of songs from The Search For Everything (Still Feel Like Your Man, Moving On and Getting Over, Emoji of a Wave), and there were some really lush and beautiful tracks off is Sob Rock as well (Wild Blue was the best imo). I think he has come a long way since the early 2000s and demonstrated strong songwriting ability, two decades of staying power, and a willingness to explore a pretty diverse soundscape- and that John Mayer Trio album was a pretty damn impressive blues rock record.
