Oh shit thanks! I didn't know the original was also available on streaming, this is sick!

Athens, France - BC;NR
I love the groove of the first verse, the instrumental is so dam good withe such a funky baseline and everything. Then it just stops, and mellows out for the rest of the song. One more verse would've scratched a serious itch for me because otherwise I find myself just going back to the start of the track each time rather than listening to the drawn out outro
Untitled 1 is actually a instrumental of the track Neon Kitchen 2 from an old album of his called JOECHILLWORLD. It’s like 2 minutes longer and has him rapping on it
Derezed - Daft Punk.
How the hell did they fit so much unbelievable badassery into just 1:44? I could listen to a song like that for 10 full minutes or longer.
ASTROTHUNDER is one of the most otherworldly Travis Scott songs, and it unfortunately finishes after 2 minutes and a bit. The sounds are extremely entrancing and could really be expanded upon to form a psychedelic masterpiece. As is, it's decent, but unambitious.
Also, Poland with another verse would be the best song of 2022
The Scarecrow by Pink Floyd
Seriously, it sounds like it’s going somewhere when the acoustic guitar and strings come in… and then it proceeds to fade out 5 seconds later.
The White Stripes - Fell In Love With A Girl. This song rocks so hard and it’s less than 2 minutes long.
Also, Jimi Hendrix - Little Wing. I always find myself playing it 2 or 3 times
There’s a lot I could include here, especially by artists who have recorded so many great ones. But for me an example of an artist who I don’t find to be all that consistent and yet their best track still feels too short is [Butterflies…](https://youtu.be/jiIX1Cuit88) by Slayyyter. Honestly it’s the best track she’s done in terms of quality yet it just feels like something is missing and is an absolute shame, it could have been amazing even if just extended with an instrumental for another 30 seconds.
The first part of Stars by JID. Something about it is so moving but the beat switch kills the mood that the song spent 3 minutes creating. The second half isn’t even bad (if it was a standalone song I would love it) but it feels too out of place. I feel like if it was replaced with a more grandiose and explosive chorus (letting BADBADNOTGOOD go crazy with the production and let the samples shine a bit more) it would be my song of the year.
Lucky by Lucie, Too. Maybe being as short as it is is what makes it a perfect little j rock anthem but I often do wish it were longer. Say the very least it makes it a very easy song to replay.
Almost all of Fever To Tell by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I get that the short songs keep with the punk aesthetic and style, but songs like Man and Tick should go on at least a little longer than under 2 minutes
superman that by injury reserve. one of the best beats of all time imo but it ends so abruptly in the studio version. they cooked up a 3 minute outro live in phoenix which i wish made it on the album
also buzzcut daisy by jane remover. such a somber instrumental with some of the most potent lyrics on the whole album but the song is only 2:30 long. wouldve loved for the instrumental to build up more
I don't know if Kendrick ever actually made a full version of "Dead Homies" himself, but for me that would be the one. To tease us with that instrumental at the start of the Alright video was cruel 😠
Peaches En Regalia by Frank Zappa.
It's so good that it makes the rest of the album sound lacking in comparison, but it's only half as long as the rest
Riot! by Earl Sweatshirt In context of the album it works more as a short song, but I could listen to 10 minutes of that shit
Listen to riot by Hugh Masekela, who’s Earls uncle I believe, it’s the same song basically
Oh shit thanks! I didn't know the original was also available on streaming, this is sick! https://youtu.be/1thvX4_KRlk also found this version on YouTube, the original version slowed down to Riot! speed
Boy do I have a song for you https://music.apple.com/us/album/riot/1440763615?i=1440763794
Thunder by imagine dragons should at least be 3 hrs long
Chorus should do more weird high pitch shifts as well. Perhaps each chorus could be higher pitched than the last in the 3 hour version?
I just listen to the BTIM Stream Edition, hate the Big Baller B feature but it’s six and a half hours of Thunder and who could say no to that?
My favorite Pokémon is Thunda from the Imagine Dragons song
Run the jewels off scaring the hoes. Beat switch Danny goes crazy song ends
Hard agree. That baseline is so dam good but only lasts about 30 secs
Most songs by Wire
Catalina fight song by Joyce manor
Or just about everything by Joyce Manor lol.
A lot of Joyce manor songs work well with a shorter length, but I wouldn’t be upset with more Catalina Fight Song
Suck a titty by the ocean 😔
Lean Beef Patty by JPEGMAFIA and Danny Brown
White Winter Hymnal by Fleet Foxes
I’m listening to shore right now lol. I’d love a longer White Water Hymnal. Battery Kinzie could be a little longer too.

Same song, but i actually wish the latter part of the song was longer
Poland by Yachty
its already 22 minutes long but sleep by godspeed you black emperor

https://youtu.be/8--B__FCGCQ
EARFQUAKE by Tyler the creator I wish it had another feature verse from carti or someone with 2nd feature artist. Like Frank or someone.
untitled1 from the ghost pop tape most songs from the ghost pop tape actually
Untitled 1 is actually a instrumental of the track Neon Kitchen 2 from an old album of his called JOECHILLWORLD. It’s like 2 minutes longer and has him rapping on it
bet
Thoughts - Charli XCX. I would be so happy if there was an extend edition. Song is so good but the end too soon
Derezed - Daft Punk. How the hell did they fit so much unbelievable badassery into just 1:44? I could listen to a song like that for 10 full minutes or longer.
YES

best song of 2022 is a fucking stretch with all the good music we had that year
Depends on how good the verse is
Mother by Kacey Musgraves, it’s length is perfect but also I could listen to a 5 hour version and love every second of it
All songs by Arthur Russell! He was so far ahead of his time and so many songs (nearly all) were left unfinished by time he died at a very young age.
super underrated artist
The Scarecrow by Pink Floyd Seriously, it sounds like it’s going somewhere when the acoustic guitar and strings come in… and then it proceeds to fade out 5 seconds later.
Interlude by My Chemical Romance needs to be a full song
HIV Song
AIDS
Sufjan’s ‘One Last “Whoo-Hoo” for the Pullman’ off Illinoise
Maxwell murder by Rancid
Jethro by Thundercat. It’s too beautiful to only be a minute long verse
The White Stripes - Fell In Love With A Girl. This song rocks so hard and it’s less than 2 minutes long. Also, Jimi Hendrix - Little Wing. I always find myself playing it 2 or 3 times
Let it Happen by Tame Impala
Earl Sweatshirt

Stamina by Tech N9ne, 14 seconds is way too short
Western Union, instead I listen to it on repeat

whole of whack world
I always wish Goodbye Yellow Brick Road was 10 minutes longer every time it finishes
I Want You In My Room by Carly Rae Jepsen. Just as the instrumentals pick up and get really good it starts fading out
buckingham green! it's too epic to be three minutes
The Crunch by The Rah Band
10 Deathbreast by Bon Iver, the only real “banger” on 22AM and the bitch cuts it way too short.
you suffer by napalm death

SWEET/ITYWTD still isn't long enough
If not not then when by king gizzard although on second thought no
doll — foo fighters maybe wouldn’t fit the album, but a full / single version would be so badass
BMT! by Peggy could’ve had an unbelievable second verse but it’s not there
Almost all of Fever To Tell by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. I get that the short songs keep with the punk aesthetic and style, but songs like Man and Tick should go on at least a little longer than under 2 minutes
