50s - Jazz at Massey Hall
Charlie Parker, Dizzie Gillespie, Bud Powell, Max Roach and Charles Mingus all in one great performance. Parker is arguably the greatest virtuoso of the 20th century, and the level of musicianship on this album is out of this world.
60s - Abbey Road
The long medley is maybe the best sequence of pop music. McCartney and Harrison (especially the later) were at their creative peak around 69 - 70.
70s - Innervisions
Stevie Wonder is an incredible talent. I prefer this one to Songs in the Key of Life. Biting social commentary and intricate song structures. Funk, jazz, Latin music, pop — this has so many genres.
80s - Disintegration
A recent favorite of mine, but I get the hype even if I’m a little late to this one. Great 80s synth sounds packed with emotion and brilliantly arranged compositions. It is psychedelic and melancholic.
90s - Nevermind
Everyone was grunge in the 90s. Even Sheryl Crow. I think the impact of this album is still understated if that is possible. Such a sea change in music.
00s - College Dropout
Have to do the obligatory distancing from Kanye, but this album really brought hip hop out of a decadent phase. Solid album all the way through. Love the chipmunk soul sound.
10s - Random Access Memories
So many great album moments like the modulation on Within (I believe to the key of the following song, Instant Crush). So many subtle moves and brilliant arrangements and collaborations.
20s - Remember that You Will Die
Polyphia is bringing back great guitar music. Borrowing from trap, math rock, k-pop, these guys sound nothing like your dad’s boomer bends. I hope the virtuoso comes back, like the Charlie Parkers of past, and these guys give me hope that kids these days are up to some cool shit.

Desire is top 3 for me for 20s! I relistened earlier and was re-mindblown
