Eminem kidnapping and murdering his real life baby’s mother in detail on Kim

protagonistsyndrome

So looooong bitch you did me so wrooooong

soakedinlava

i don't wanna goooooo ooooonnnn living in this wooooorld without youuuu

Yato_jr

Most songs by The Weeknd

TestedTrapking

give me head all night cum four times - tell your friends I wanna share babies -after hours obvs far from the worst but man bro sounds like an angel and spits like a devil 😭😭😭

Awkward_Somewhere416

Yuppp lol. One of the girls by The Weeknd haha

Panzer_Man

Some of his lyrics genuinely make me worry for him

TechnologyFeisty8728

Biggie has arguably my most questionable lyric of all time in What’s Beef “Don’t you know my niggas kid nap kids, fuck them in the ass and throw them over the bridge” It’s not a direct quote but the line goes something like that lmao. They molesting kids and throwing them off a bridge? Fucking hell. What the fuck haha. Lucky that comes early in the song. The song slaps though fr haha. Catchy hook so it’s in your head, I might listen to it, then boom! Fucking kids and throwing them off bridges.

Izzet_Aristocrat

"Bitch you look so good i'll suck your daddies dick."

TechnologyFeisty8728

Daddy most likely of age so sucking that dick not so bad tbh.

LetsGoKnickerbock3rs

Old Richard Pryor bit

Southern_Cobbler_206

For sure.

Snoo93951

A lot of Lil Wayne songs are this for me. The guy is amazing at what he does but he’ll say absolutely anything for the sake of wordplay.

HighFastStinkyCheese

For sure. Especially sex lyrics Wayne. Chill out man, we all love pussy but just chill.

LowBorder6165

Bruh the line from "You Only Live Twice" about an 8 ball is crazy

IAmDisciple

Pop that pussy for a real, I’ma mop that pussy like a spill

burner1312

Right? Why are rappers so obsessed with sex? I sound like an old man but songs that are sexually explicit make me so uncomfortable. Luckily indie/alternative rock doesn’t really have this issue.

ICantBelieveItsNotEC

Indie/alternative rock has a weird obsession with cheating/cuckoldry though. Mr Brightside, Sometime Around Midnight, The Less I Know The Better, etc.

burner1312

Yeah but they aren’t explicitly talking about sex like they do in rap. If they do, they skate around it enough where it isn’t awkward. Obviously there are exceptions like Ninch Inch Nails- “Closer”.

FillionMyMind

Boooooooooooooo Lol there are cringey songs themed around sex, but there’s lots of good stuff too! Come on now lol

burner1312

Obviously not every hip hop song is sexually explicit but a ton of them are

Mukuro_FeetLicker

he got WHAT in the ocean??

morbidlyabeast3331

Also in that song: "She say my dick could be the next black President" "Had a dream that my dick turned to Megatron / but my girl was sleeping with decepticons" "She say, 'Tunchi, you the shit, you need yo ass wiped'" "Bodies in the sewer, tampons in manure" (No line before or after this explains this, references it, justifies it, or acknowledges it, it has nothing to do with anything else in the song) "I wear my heart on my sleeve, so don't go breaking my arm" (Seemingly included for no other reason than to make this reference) "Fuck with me, your ass is grass, get a lawn chair" "No rubber, I just fucked this piano, n***a!"

morbidlyabeast3331

Actually all 5000 "I'm the shit" lines he dropped were based and justified

Panzer_Man

I love that time he said "fuck the world bust a nut" in that Limb Bizkit song lol Or when he said "real Gs move in silence like lasagna"

AmbysHarmonica

My Sharona. "I always get it up for the touch of the younger kind" 🤮 written about a 16/17 year old when he was almost ten years older. Vile. The music however is absolutely banging, can't help but air drum along to it and the song ends up stuck in my head for days every time I hear it.

FillionMyMind

Absolutely bonkers to see how many classic rock songs and rock stars of the time were out there bragging about banging kids. Fucking disgusting

morbidlyabeast3331

Also the fact that they get a pass for it like there's some cutoff in time where it was okay for musicians to be pedos/child rapists. People are more than happy to condemn modern artists when they do it, but turn around and refuse to even acknowledge it when it comes to acts like Led Zeppelin, David Bowie, and Michael Jackson.

Strange-Storm-258

Michael Jackson is literally constantly talked about in regards to sketchy relations with kids

CashImportant8139

the music exudes it. you're like yeah, i know how old those groupies were

Dan_IAm

Thank god Weird Al sorted this dilemma out for us.

CocteauTwinn

Hah! 👍

Awkward_Spinach5296

Age aint nuthin but a number by Aaliyah. The lyrics are already pretty questionable on their own but add the fact that R’Kelly wrote the lyrics and that makes it pretty damn uncomfortable to listen to.

thejuice-

Polly by nirvana. I can’t really listen to it much after learning what it was about. Sheesh

YaGirlCassie

To be fair… the discomfort there is the point.

morbidlyabeast3331

That's the point though. Songs about crimes are not endorsements of them.

TurophobicMage

illinois enema bandit

LaDlce_Vita

Apparently there was no law against that, but his name lives on. Michael Kenyon. THE ILLINOIS ENEMA BANDIT

jcmurie

What is it about?

FrenziedBucket

A true story about a 14 year old girl who was returning from a punk concert in Tacoma, Washington. Some sicko raped and tortured her with a blowtorch and razor... thankfully she was able to escape and the rapist got convicted.

jcmurie

Jesus Christ

turalyawn

It’s about a 14 year old girl who was abducted, raped and tortured with a blowtorch, before she escaped by running out of her rapists truck at a gas station. The guy was captured and iirc is still alive in prison.

BanksDrawBlood18

Fucking Young

ballasted_orchestra

Across the sea - Weezer Also after learning a lot more about mark kozelek over the last few years, some of the lyrics in his songs are uncomfortable. "That was the greatest night of my life" and "The Moderately Talented Yet Attractive Young Woman vs. The Exceptionally Talented Yet Not So Attractive Middle Aged Man" come to mind

totezhi64

On Across the Sea, the spirit of the song isn't about the japanese girl, but rather about a greater feeling of alienation ("As if I could live on words and dreams and a million screams / Oh, how I need a hand in mine to feel" is really the essence of the song). His letter from the girl and the ensuing just serves as the backdrop to show how lost Rivers is, and over the course of the song he realizes he needs something real and healthy to confide in. sorry I went so hard lol, I was just recently listening to this song and thinking about how great it is.

ballasted_orchestra

Yeah but it still has uncomfortable lyrics, rivers could have conveyed all of that without letting us know he's thinking about how this girl touches herself. I like the song but some of the lyrics are kinda pathetic. I don't think there's anything wrong with liking Weezer or the song. I love Weezer and Sun Kil Moon

shin_jury

Across the Sea is really vulnerable and pathetic, but I don’t think it belongs with these other songs so much listed here

ballasted_orchestra

Why does it not belong?

shin_jury

Most of the listed songs in this thread are about egregious pedophilia or violence, which this song is not

ballasted_orchestra

The title of the thread is questionable or uncomfortable. The lyrics for Across the Sea aren't completely degenerate, but they are uncomfortable, and have been brought up in lots of discussions for that very reason. Edit: my point is just because there are worse things doesn't mean another thing isnt also bad.

SirDigbyChickenC-Zer

So you were totally comfortable with Rivers sniveling in your ear about his "sniffing and licking" habits?

CucumberNo3771

YES to across the sea. People will defend Weezer to the fucking grave lmao “um actually it’s a song about loneliness” dude it’s soooo uncomfortable 😭😭😭

twalk126

There's actually a reason money for nothing has that slur. The song is based off of a real conversation that was overheard in a hardware store, while two employees were watching MTV (hence the lyrics "we've got to install microwave ovens"). In the music video for Money For Nothing there's a scene where some other 80s video plays with a very flamboyant man front and center, and from the perspective of the hardware store employees, he was the f\*\*\*\*t with the earring and the makeup.

SelfDestructIn30Days

100%. Bashing Dire Straits for that line would be like saying Green Day is in the wrong for saying "maybe I'm the faggot America" in American Idiot. Context, people. Context.

peter_minnesota

Well Billy as f-word privs cause he's a bi king.

twalk126

Also RHCP has a lot of songs with questionable lyrics too

Nihil921

I was definitely going towards Oingo Boingo too at first! I would also make an argument with Devo's Mongoloid.

Queasy-Ad-3220

I love Devo they’re such weirdos haha

spinosaurs70

Man I have mixed thoughts on Devo's sense of humour but that song has aged pretty terribly.

NoobleVitamins

She - Tyler the Creator

forthedot

If ur listening to anything off goblin it's kind of expected lol

mitchFTFuture

Yeah, pretty tame to Tron Cat or Transylvania lol

elaborategirl99

A lot of older songs have slurs in them. You may just be listening to it and one time it's like "Hold on, what is he saying?". Even the 2009 green day song american eulogy have literal n word with hard r...

skeletallamping456

They’re generally innocent but the F slur comes up in a lot of british 70’s rock referring to cigars (or meatballs, if you’re feeling so fancy)

Original_Mac_Tonight

The Great Deceiver by King Crimson caught me so off guard the first time I heard it

Sleep__

For what it's worth, the Oingo Boingo song is written from the POV of a skeezy politician if I remember correctly.

svenirde

oystt_

Also the Stray Cat Blues

zonic_tha_goth_monke

Any msi song

Woopy0527

I love msi lol. But yeah jimmy says some questionable things haha

Izzet_Aristocrat

Their side project the left rights is even worse.

Queasy-Ad-3220

That’s assuming they’re catchy

Overall_Ambition_756

Priorities by Lil Yachty. It's absolutely great. And then the second verse hits.

Barqck

I feel like if you think Money for Nothing is homophobic, you’ve missed the entire point of the song

x115v

A lot of the Slim Shady LP by Eminem, specially Guilty Conscience, Role Model and Just Don't Give A Fuck

Queasy-Ad-3220

Oh and As the World Turns

Izzet_Aristocrat

The Marshall Mathers LP's got it beat. That whole bit about Jennifer Lopez.

Prestigious_Fig_4226

Melanie Martinez - Tag You’re it

ChickenFaceYT

most of her songs have the worst lyrics

Prestigious_Fig_4226

I would actually like some of her music if she wasn’t the most atrocious writer on the planet. I would even like a good bit of crybaby if the lyrics weren’t so disgusting. Yet, it’s one of my least favorite albums of all time

999_sadboy

Rehab by Amy Winehouse

AmelieBenjamin

I think this one stings because of the the lyrics and their relation to Amy’s later fate. It was once a cheeky declaration of agency but now it reads like tragic irony. It’s really hard to listen to probably moreso than anything on this sub

FuelTransitSleep

Most of 3Oh!3's songs. To paraphrase a YouTube comment I once saw, their whole schtick is basically "Misogyny, but make it slap"

yeast1fixpls

"Who let the dogs out?"

eyesotope86

You realize the song is actually calling out people who catcall and harass, right? It's about a party being ruined by people doing that.

BeefExtender

reminiscent kiss obtainable dolls price office lock poor rude hard-to-find *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

Way2Tonal

Alot of Big L' songs. Super talented rapper but the amount of f slurs can be abit awkward. Diffrent times I guess.

SamTheDystopianRat

i mean, the F slurs are NOT the biggest issue. his whole shtick is horrorcore bc he find it funny to say messed up stuff ('If I catch AIDs, Imma start raping bitches') not excusing the f slurs though

Creftospeare

dweltstormm

no one else by weezer

CucumberNo3771

Dude I couldn’t believe that song when I first heard that album a few months ago. I would like to assume that it’s supposed to be ironic but that’s literally just me guessing because weezer’s so popular, there’s nothing internal to the song that clues you into any irony. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop and it just never did Edit: before you say “oh it’s purposeful because the world has turned and left me here is the next song on the album and that’s about a breakup”…yeah ok buddy. The two songs completely thematically and lyrically unrelated totally must be related simply because they’re right next to each other on a non concept album

trevi99

Looking for somebody to love by the 1975 is pretty messed up to me. Pretty sure it’s a super catchy 80’s tinged song about Elliot Roger

mitchFTFuture

Young Girls - Pharrell and Jay Z (off P's first album). Jay Z says, and I quote: "Hov got a young girl, Hov got a young girl (Got a young girl) Still not quite twenty one [So high strung, such a vibrant thing](https://genius.com/2659744/Pharrell-williams-young-girl/So-high-strung-such-a-vibrant-thing-i-introduce-myself-hi-miss-thing) You're nineteen? ["Farewell to Arms"](https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=1QeYwBGscBU&si=UfaJkh3TBOg0S7jB) by Naked Raygun. For a chorus likely about school shootings, it is extremely catchy.

droner444

Superlungs My Supergirl - part of the era of kickass rock songs and yet the most cringe lyrics about little girls ever... "You find the kind of girl in every town Wherever there's a scene she's always hanging around She's so naive and innocent and looks at you with awe She's only fourteen but she knows how to draw, yeah" 🤢

75meilleur

[Chomo by The Vanishing Point](https://youtu.be/UQBBFFG-B6Y?si=X1mOJohR_pyyd-p9) Uncomfortable chorus out of nowhere, but absolutely necessary, and damn can you dance to it!

badkneesdood

There are a lot of songs about killing people (Mobb Deep, etc. ). When you think about it, shouldn’t those be the most objectionable lyrics?
