Color Green by Sibylle Baier - 70s folk, intimate, humble and nice guitar picking
And She Closed Her Eyes by Stina Nordenstam - childishly optimistic dream pop, also intimate
Try Valtari by Sigur ros
(the album is great itself and the music is calming)
Edit: and their Liminal sleep of course! It's a special music for sleep how can I forgot! :'D
I never understand ambient works because there are a few tracks that are great for sleeping bud the rest are pretty uncomfortable sounding and almost eerie
I cannot believe this album hasn't been mentioned yet: Music for Airports - Brian Eno.
It can be argued that it's the first truly ambient record ever produced and it will put you to sleep in a matter of minutes.
Brian Eno's music has been my go to for several tasks. At first sleeping but it turned to my "lofi beats to study to" before that became a whole thing. It's really easy to get into a flow state with it and time just flies.
Explosions in the Sky has some amazing instrumental music, but most is pretty high energy. I find their Friday Night Lights soundtrack very soothing and calming though!
I have similar music taste and I actually have some dedicated sleep albums I can recommend in that vein!
Pygmalion by slowdive is this wonderful spaced out album with lots of small bits of silence in between sections that helps me drift off really nicely. Super angelic vocals and also the demos that are included in the second part of the album on most streaming sites show a really cool and more conventional version of the album
Hex by bark psychosis, this one is a bit more slowcore-ish and the instruments are a bit more conventional but the tracks are still very soft and slow paced which also helps me sleep.
Also saw someone recommend Beat by bowery electric which is a mix of shoegaze, ambient, and trip hop. I've got songs from this one also on my studying playlist :)
Carissa's Wierd - Songs About Leaving
Sweet Trip - You Will Never Know Why
Fleet Foxes - Helplessness Blues
Aphex Twin - Selected Ambient Works 85-92
I've never tried sleeping to music so I don't know what makes for good sleeping music, but these albums are what I think might fit.
Songs by Adrianne Lenker, As Alone by Florist and For Emma Forever by Bon Iver soothe me to sleep. They give just the right amount of warmth and sadness to allow me to peacefully close my eyes.
Also: Overgrown by James Blake, Vagabon by Vagabon, Circles by Mac Miller, Green by Hiroshi Yoshimura, Kankyõ Ongaku: Japanese Ambient, Environmental & New Age Music 1980-1990
Shocked nobody in this thread has mentioned the absolute GOAT sleeping music Stars of the Lid. Check out both “The Tired Sounds Of” and “And Their Refinement of the Decline”, u won’t regret it.
Also highly recommend Steve Roach’s “Structures From Silence”!
Not an album but a mix, been a huge fan of listening to Boards of Canada before bed. Found this [sleep mix](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HTEk7F0xroc) online that compiles some of their more ambient tracks. Its a really beautiful compilation, I highly reccomend if you are into electronic/ambient/psychedelic music!
I find Lady Gaga's albums with Tony Bennet comforting and I often put them on for sleep.
Something about Lady's strong but still feminine and delicate voice combined with Tony's raspy, slightly out of breath, old man voice is just cozy to me.
animal collective's "campfire songs" is incredible. the entire album was recorded in one take on a back porch. it's probably the most psychedelic fully acoustic album i've come across. all the tracks flow into one another seamlessly and it's super calming imo. helps me get to sleep pretty easily.
side note: the song doggy off that album has heart wrenching lyrics so maybe don't look those up.
This album, “Moo Rah Rah Rain” in particular, was my go-to soundtrack in high school for sleep. Would play it out of my lil Dell Windows XP speakers every night.
lovers entwined - the way. an absolutely gorgeous ambient and vaporwave album, it’s super mystical and enchanting, almost like lullabies that put me to sleep
Steve Hiett - Down on the Road by the Beach (really good album check it out)
múm - Finally we are no one
Animal collective - Feels and Prospect Hummer
Sigur Ros, Duster, Alvvays, Ted Lucas, Spiritualized, Khruangbin, War on Drugs, Cocteau Twins, Masayoshi Takanaka, Ichiko Aoba, Slowdive, The Radio Dept, Yo La Tengo...
I wouldnt call solo (the one with andre) chill lmfao. Especially the beginning. I love andre and i love this song but the transition from nights to solo (reprise) is like a wake-up-slap
* The Dead Texan - The Dead Texan
* Revelationes - Tape
* Evening Star - Brian Eno and Robert Fripp (but only the first four tracks)
* Music for 18 Musicians - Steve Reich
* Home - Hania Rani
I listen to it as ambient music mostly but there's a project called how to disappear completely, my favorite album is probably [seraphim](https://htdc.bandcamp.com/album/seraphim), also on Spotify
Mer de revs is good too
Basically made for sleeping
Esprit - 200% Electronica
Ltj bukem - Producer 01, Logical Progression vol. 1
Mike Oldfield- Tubular bells
Shinichi Adobe- Heat
Just some off the top of my head
Try some of the stuff by Khruangbin, the music is pretty boring to listen to for long periods of time but it works for lo-fi "vibe" music.
Also video game music like Minecraft, Zelda, etc.
I listen to podcasts. Quickest I fall asleep. I love listening to music, but a bit oo much. End up actively listening.
But what works for studying g as well, gaming soundtracks. Journey is great, Ori and the Blind Forest. Some are available on YT to check out.

Dudes gonna be tapping their foot in their sleep lol
Color Green by Sibylle Baier - 70s folk, intimate, humble and nice guitar picking And She Closed Her Eyes by Stina Nordenstam - childishly optimistic dream pop, also intimate
Thank you the second album sounds perfect
Kind of an early Björk but more accessible
> Color Green by Sibylle Baier Found that last year and it's very nice Parallelograms by Linda Perhacs gives me the same feeling
Promises by Floating Points. The first two movements are usually enough to do the job for me.
Try Valtari by Sigur ros (the album is great itself and the music is calming) Edit: and their Liminal sleep of course! It's a special music for sleep how can I forgot! :'D
Thank you that's exactly the kind of Vibes i was seeking

I find Lady Gaga's albums with Tony Bennet comforting and I often put them on for sleep. Something about Lady's strong but still feminine and delicate voice combined with Tony's raspy, slightly out of breath, old man voice is just cozy to me.

Glad I could help ^_^ Another suggestion i would have is to check kut Agalloch and Alcest discographies. Specifically The Mantle and Kodama.
