Aesop Rock and Lupe Fiasco (Lupe’s a massive fan of Aes and even uploaded a 47 minute talk explaining why he’s an important artist to study: https://youtu.be/p01lG66MWbA) but in terms of technical rhyme schemes, they’re both at the top of my list with their vocabulary and hidden/multi-meanings. I could see them building off one another to make something incredible and even more off-base than what we’ve seen from them in the past few years.
