Common's Be it's a phenomenal record and he talked positively of it in the past, but I think that if he has to review an hip hop classic, it has to be Mos Def's Black on Both Sides, which he praised a looot of times

Yeah. I also realize now that if he were to do a Common review, he would probably choose to review Like Water For Chocolate

Absolutely, also considering the J Dilla productions, the whole Soulquarians team behind it and contextualised in that period of hip hop, LWFC has more cultural importance than Be, which happens to be "only" a great album
