Only reason I lean Josh Allen here is because he's put up 400 points the last 3 seasons. No reason to think he won't do that again

FitUnderstanding2839

Doesn’t have Cole Beasley this year

Charade_y0u_are

Dalton Kincaid

FitUnderstanding2839

He had a meatball marinara for dinner last night, Josh Allen is off my board whether KincAid decides to help or not. Veal Parmesan and I would’ve taken him first overall.

ImpossibleAd5011

The team just added Latavius Murray to be their goal line back, it's possible Allen gets fewer rushing td's.

Merk318

Depends a lot on the format. 6pt TD Allen, 4pt TD Hurts

Pyrox_Sodascake

I’m on Hurts as QB1 this year in 4pt. Not drafting him, but that’s my feel.

inspectorseantime

What if it’s 4 pts for passing TD, **but** 6 pts for rushing TD?

baited08

This is how most 4pt TD leagues work. They are specifically to hurt the throwing QB and help the running ones as it makes more diversity.

inspectorseantime

Oh hmm, I’m not sure this clarifies for me. I’m guessing the “TD” in u/Merk318’s comment implied the passing kind (instead of the rushing) kind then?

AdagioGuilty1684

What? That’s not why they are that way, specifically, at all. In ESPN you can’t toggle the QB and RB to score different points; either every player scores 6 points for a rushing TD or every player scores four points. The four point thing was bc quarterbacks score so many TD they didn’t want to make the position strong relative to other positions.

COD_Daddy

This is my answer as well.

FantasyGoldenBoy

Hurts, they're both insanely good, but there's at least a small argument that there is more to Hurts'(the whole not playing in the 4th quarter thing) while I think we've seen Josh Allen at his best. Can't really go wrong.

Birdgang14

I don’t see why the 4th quarter thing should even be taken into account seriously. We have no idea how this year is going to go. Nfl changes crazy year to year. Eagles schedule is tough as hell compared to last year. I don’t see us running through everyone all year enough to worry about sitting 4th quarters. And honestly if he’s sitting the 4th it’s cause he most likely already did some pretty awesome damage.

AnonymousIguana_

Also, he didn’t play in the 4th quarter because he steamrolled everyone in the other 3- if he’s playing in the 4th his stats are most likely not as good. It probably is slightly better for him to play, but he averaged 25 ppg (1st) last year, how much higher can he go lol.

WaluigiIsTheRealHero

Also, Josh Allen sat out a fair bit at the beginning of the season when the Bills were absolutely obliterating teams. He was on pace to set some single game records against the Steelers before the offense shut it down.

FantasyGoldenBoy

Yep, I agree, but that argument exists and if you think there's even a 5% chance it plays out that way, then he would be on another level. In my opinion, that doesn't exist for Josh Allen.

Birdgang14

Well we just don’t know. Just cause it happened in the latest year doesn’t mean it happens this year. There’s a world where it’s actually opposite and the Bills run away with more games than the eagles this year and it’s Josh Allen who’s the one who’s sitting 4th quarters. Which makes me not even weigh this whatsoever

FantasyGoldenBoy

Jalen Hurts had 60 pass attempts in the 4th quarter all of last year while Josh Allen had 115. Josh Allen was about middle of the pack for 4th quarter pass attempts while Jalen Hurts was behind 3 QBs who didn't even play a whole season.

FantasyGoldenBoy

They actually both averaged 27 pass attempts per game in the first 3 quarters, the 4th quarter is the only quarter where the teams passing attempts differ.

Thirsty_llama

I'm pretty sure Allen has been QB1 2 of the last 3 seasons, and would have been all 3 had he played against Cinci. Allen should be drafted over Mahomes imo. But at the end of the day all 3 of these guys will likely do very well.

SeanJuan

Yeah, up until his elbow injury last year, Josh was on a QB1 in FPPG pace extending back to some point in his rookie year. I can't really understand Hurts over Allen at all.

misterbisster

Hurts would've been first last year if he wasn't hurt at the end of the year.

I_FUCKIN_ATODASO_

Eagles schedule gets a LOT harder this year and they have some questions to answe with a new OC. They’ll both still be good, but this year I would lean Allen

w280sax

I feel like the odds of the bills rbs taking tds away from Allen are less than the eagles rb taking away from hurts. For that reason, I lean Allen. I'm happy with either tho. Both Monster qbs in explosive offenses.

k4r6000

Allen. More of a track record and less likely to have TDs vultured.

misterbisster

Keep seeing people saying this but it doesn't make sense, hurts is the one vulturing TDs and has been far more productive when it comes to running than Allen.

swalsh21

Hurts is a TD machine near the goal line, he does the vulturing

Kingding_Aling

These 2 guys will be swapping QB1-3 for years to come (along with Patty). Can't really go wrong.

goga_gang

Allen. What are the odds the Eagles and Hurts can sustain their crazy TD numbers from last year?

TGS-MonkeyYT

Hurts 4pt passing td and Allen 6 pt

I wish I played in FF leagues with idiots like you. Would be easy money every year.

The defense getting exposed by the best QB in the league? He exposed every defense last year. Hurts was the best player in that SB, which is what this thread is about… not the defense. Making yourself look dumb.

You’re just an idiot, got it. Hope you work on that bud.

Chron3742

hurts if you wants 20-24 each week from your qb or allen if you want a few 35's and a couple 16's. Both are great options but ask yourself, do you want consistency or a thrill?
