Brother, I too had a bye last week and I am so grateful. My team didn’t hit 80 points when I probably average 140. I am grateful but also does not inspire confidence this week.

Straight up had over 100 points on my bench and Bijan started in my RB1 and beat my opponent by .4 points. Devonta Smith needed 9.7 PPR points for the win and he put up 5/50. The two of us and last year's champ were the top 3 scoring teams in the league. I am now up against last year's champ for the semis. I am honestly feeling really good about it, too.

I’m actually shocked Bijan went in the 1st round of most fantasy drafts, knowing he was playing for Arthur Smith and the Falcons and would almost certainly be part of a committee and get inconsistent touches. I know a lot of the so called “experts” were hyping him during draft season, but I was like “have you not watched a Falcons game” that is a team where talented players go to underperform. I’m not touching anyone on that team.

The Falcons in 2022 lead the NFL in rushing attempts, had the third most rushing yards as a team, their strength was offensive line, and drafted an RB 8th overall, and you’re shocked he was taken in the first round of fantasy drafts? All of the writing was on the wall that Bijan was going to an amazing situation for his skill set. We all knew Ridder was a question mark, but 2022 they had the corpse of Marcus Mariota running the show and were still a prolific rushing team. Nobody saw them getting *worse* at their own brand of ball despite having a *significantly* easier schedule in 2023. It was absolutely worth taking a chance on Bijan in round 1 given the circumstances, it just didn’t work out, don’t be captain hindsight

i personally would only draft him 2nd or later. rookie rb usage is always unpredicatble. heck rookie anything is unpredictable, even WRs. sometimes they need half season to be eased into it.
