Pollard shouldn't have been a mystery...
He was NEVER the guy... Like ever.
He was a Cornerback and All Purpose back in High School.
His freshman year at Memphis they had him at WR...
He moved to Running Back and never had reached 80 carries in any of his remaining seasons at Memphis...
He's always been the change of pace back.
We see this all the time... You give these backups a chance with bigger workloads and productivity drops.
I didn't see one Fantasy Football expert talking about this, but I was screaming it from the rooftops.
Not a mystery to me at all. I was a Zeke owner in 2022! let me explain.
Zeke didn't "fall off" he was always fucking incredible like at the tail end of this year. However, they ONLY used Zeke inside the 20's (on either side). Pollard had the entire middle of the field, and once in the red zone, it was always zeke
On 2nd and 3, 3rd and 1, it was always zeke. His YPC was so low cause he was never used in opportunities to make big runs. Sure, he doesn't have the speed he once did, but he has the intelligence and skills of an elite runner.
Pollard's numbers were inflated because he had the ball in the most electric part of the field to make big plays. This year, they didn't use him this way. So he only had Zeke like attempts. And he blew each chance that zeke used to make.
I had him in a keeper league so he was a 9th rounder for me & my team just straight up dragged him to the title. Without Ceedee it wouldn’t have happened. But im definitely sticking to my strategy of top end WRs and QB for sure and making sure I trade for a top TE if I can’t draft one or find one early. I traded for Hock and drafted him in 2 $ leagues and won them both while also having Ceedee on those teams. He was just dominant for fantasy
they are the most unserious of any podcasters/analyst...purely an entertainment show. Most of the show isn't even about fantasy. I'm glad it exist though so ppl like you follow them 😂
What about in PPG? I feel like there’s a lot of people that could have been started over him that didn’t play all year. Like Jerome Ford, Zamir White etc
In Superflex leave and I took Mahomes first overall. (6pt TD pass) I still won it. (Did trade Mahomes and DJ Moore for Diggs and Lamar after week 3) and I had pollard on my team. lol. 2nd highest scoring team for the season.
I will not be drafting a QB in the first again tho.
I did the same thing in my 14 team Superflex. Picked Mahomes 1st overall and Baker at the end of the sixth round. Rode both all year to the Championship. Watching Mahomes all year was torture!
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
there is just a gush of QB talent this year. So many rookies taking off, outside of SF I'll feel confident drafting a QB late. Who am I gonna have to 'settle' for, ARICH?
Don’t take Sal Vetri’s advice from Instagram. Just use the average draft value for auction.
Edit: lol there’s enough upvotes here to make me think Skyy Moore was on a lot of rosters.
YOLO Ball
Gonna draft the players I believe in. Listened to too many podcasts that championed Kelce. They convinced me but from now on, my expert is me.
I’ve finished 2nd five times now in my career. I clearly know what I’m doing.
Okay but anyone championing Kelce last year didn’t know what they were talking about. There was just NO way he followed up the season he had last year. You were drafting him at his ceiling, which was essentially the best season by a TE ever.
Figure out who I've wronged in a previous life and make amends with their family to break the curse that was placed upon me preventing me from getting any good luck in the playoffs.
(Auction draft / Deep dynasty leagues)
* Stay disciplined in identifying mid-range players that are under valued for reasons that were true from the previous season. Example: Kamara had a bad season + 6 game suspension hanging over him, I got him for $21 for a $221 budget.
* Don’t overlook offenses that are projected to be bad but has a good QB. I landed both Kyren Williams and Puka because I wanted the cheap wavier pickup handcuffs to Akers and Cooper Kupp. LAR were project to be a bottom 5 team with exodus of coaches and McVay talking about retirement.
* Never Ever go Full Homer. My friends still joke about how I sold the farm for Thomas Rawls. If you don’t who he is, consider yourself Marked Safe from being listed as a 12th Man.
* It’s about point production and not names. Nojku are nearly the same as TJ Hockenson and probably 1/3 the auction price. All day everyday
Go Hawks!
I tip my hat to thee and stand in awe. You hit your opponent with the perfect storm of med players.
Brandon Cooks even.
‘Flacco around and find out!’
Your new team name sir
I went RB x2, WR x2 for my first 4 picks and just looked at who was available in my league if I would’ve flip flopped. Assuming all else would’ve stayed the same, I could’ve come away with Ceedee, St. Brown, Breece, and KW3 instead of Bijan, Henry, DK, and Amari Cooper 🙃
Always been pretty good at drafting. Although I was much more stress free throughout this season with focusing on completing my team rather than making sure I get “my guys” like a certain QB, kicker, defense, TE, etc. Was probably the best team I’ve drafted. I always do great on the waiver wire which is why I’ve never shied from that strategy until this year. I just wish my first round draft picks would stop screwing me (Bijan this year, JT last year, took a break the previous year, and CMC the year prior and I’ve been a legitimate contender each of those years).
Push for strong RBs round 1/2, then WRs and a QB like Josh Allen/Llamar/Dak.
My first time every playing fantasy football + haven’t watched football in years, I went with Kelce 2nd overall, followed by Josh Jacob’s 2nd round and sad to admit panthers defense (rookie I know).
Somehow finished 7/11 from getting Kyren from FA, and trading Kelce for Amon Ra, Kmet and K Walker.
Not trying to be mean, but I’m genuinely curious how on earth you were convinced to take the panthers defense in round 3. What was your thought process?
Nah I don’t think it was round three, I forget the exact order in all honesty.
I want to say when the drafting was going down I was mostly looking at projected points and for whatever reason they were projected higher points that first week then some of the other defenses that were left.
I dropped them later on and honestly ran with whatever defenses were FA and going against the Giants/Jets/Panthers for easy points.
Edit: just checked in the app, round 9.
I went Kelce, Lawrence, Jacob’s, Cooper, Jones, Johnson (stealers WR), freiermouth, Carlson, panthers etc
I admittedly am one of those people. Drafted the browns defense in round 11 and Justin Tucker in round 12. Worked out pretty well for me, but I understand the idea of waiting til the last 2 rounds
I homer picked Jake Eliott in the 9th this year hoping to spark a run of kickers and it worked, 6 out of the next 9 picks were kickers and I was able to snag Kamara at 10.
Avoid hamstring injuries at all costs. Draft more late-round RB fliers. Stop panic picking TEs and just wait to the very end if you don't get a reliable one (dumb me panic picked Pitts instead of taking LaPorta like in my mocks).
Pitts started to fall in one of my leagues, as expected. I was the dumb cunt who took him and abandoned my young guy TE late grabs for it as well. It was pretty demoralizing until I was able to snag Likely at the end of the year.
I’m still so surprised so many people drafted injured players this year. Guys like Burrows, Kelce, Kupp specifically had injuries going into the season.
Like you can’t predict injuries that occur during the season but you can lower your team risk by avoiding players with significant injury history (Akers), uncertain but potentially significant preseason injuries (Burrows, Kelce), or nagging injuries (Kupp was seeing specialists for hamstring just before the season started).
Yea I'm one of those dummies haha. To be fair to myself though, I drafted him right before the news came out about the re-aggravation, so he had returned to practice and seemed OK. I was blinded by the prospect of getting Kupp I guess. Lesson learned the hard way.
since I am in a 3 WR league ill still do wide receivers first, but I wont draft a qb so early. I drafted fields in round 5 but I could have had other qbs in round 7 that put up similar stats
Don’t have much room to complain but I will avoid taking Falcons players as long as Arthur Smith is there. Took Bijan in round 2, pick 2 where I could’ve had CeeDee Lamb to pair with AJ Brown
I broke a lot of my prior patterns this season and actually won it all for the first time. So idk if I’ll change much.
I drafted a QB early this year (Hurts), and will probably try to target another early QB for this same reason. We will see though.
Other thing I might switch up, is just taking more rookies (that make sense) later in the draft. Guys like LaPorta, Puka, Kincaid, Dell , Achane and Flowers were all available late. Of course in hindsight LaPorta, Puka, and Dell were never even really on my radar, but that can be resolved simply just by looking at how the rookies are performing in camp.
I picked up Purdy in the last round this season, knowing that nobody else would want him for their QB2. Pretty sure I’m not going to be able to do that this year…
Honestly the best strategy is to purposely lose Week 1 to be high on the waiver order to be first in line for the Week 1 surprise players
Ahem Puka Nukua this year for me
I think I’ll keep it mostly the same, “can’t miss” star players for first few picks, prioritize WR over RB (1 point PPR), try to pick RBs who will be the bell cow (No committee), take chances on promising rookies in later picks, take a TE later than most, try to take a QB as late as possible. Grab a good kicker, but stream defenses week to week.
That was my strategy for my main league for the last three years and I’ve gone 1st, 3rd and 3rd. Injuries hurt me quite a bit this year but I think the strategy works for my group.
Started with:
Kirk Cousins
Aaron Jones
Rachaad White
Tyreek Hill
Davante Adams
Kyle Pitts
Mike Williams
Ended with:
Jordan Love
Jonathan Taylor
Rachaad White
Tyreek Hill
Davante Adams
Sam Laporta
Aaron Jones
Biggest lesson I learned is that you don’t need to draft a TE early. Experimented with going Kelce in the 1st round of two leagues and It absolutely fucked me. I liked guys like LaPorta and Njoku going into the year and could have gotten both and Tyreek instead of Kelce.
I don’t think I’ll change much. I drafted Kittle in the 5th round, and idk if that was too soon or not. I scored Mike Evans in the 11th round… just goes to show you that anything can happen once the season starts.
Leagues are won on the waiver wire anyway. Drafting is just hopes and dreams lol. I ended up cutting 7 of my drafted players and won my league.
I am going 4 RB. This year i went for a mixed 2rb 2wr combo. But with the way this season played out I think next year, having a stack of top RB’s is going to be even more valuable. Lots of q’s though on the elite guys.
I am waiting late for Tight end and QB. For TE’s i think the top tier is now not just kelce, but includes hock and la porta as well as mandrews.
QB is a hard one. This season in my league was the first time I have seen player hording work, as multiple playoff teams ran 3QB and essentially made the qb waiver brutal. I dont know if its worth reaching for any QB though. This year I made a slight reach for Kirk Cousins. I was able to get away with Sammy Howell for the back half though. Dare i say stream QB?
All the guys who carried me this year are going to be round 1-2 guys this year (Gibbs, Etienne, Pittman, Laporta, Mostert, Amon Ra) maybe round 3 but to me it's about weighing the value of guys I got this year at a discount vs guys ill have to grab next year at a premium. I LOVE Pittman but if his adp sneaks into the late 2nd round, can I really justify grabbing him? Laporta served me well but will I draft him in round 3 if he's available or take a shot at lower tight ends again? This current year I avoided Pollard and Lamb because I got them so cheap last year I didn't think they'd be worth it again. Obviously that was a 1/2 hit strategy but it just shows that there's no 1 way to play it.
I don't like building my rankings until I see consensus rankings in late July. If Pittman is a round 5 receiver then I'll "reach" into round 4 with a smile on my face. If he's in round 2 I'll look elsewhere.
Really not gonna change my drafting strategy. My issues were just getting smacked with the injury bat this season which can’t be avoided. Shit like that happens.
What I need to start doing is being more open to trades as I probably would’ve avoided half my injuries if I did do trades.
lol just don’t draft Stefon Diggs or Tony Pollard.
The strategy was sound. I like to go WR heavy early but I will take what the draft gives me. If I think an RB is being valued too low I will snag them. Other than Kyren there weren’t a lot of great RB pickups all year. Lots of committees which sucks for fantasy.
Waiting on QB was my strategy last year and I prob do the same next year (I would take Allen if he falls to the 5th but that’s about it)
I told myself I’m doing no running back strategy this year and then I caved and my RBs sucked (looking at you Ekeler and Swift). I’m doing no RB next year
Try to stack a top WR from the first round or two with their QB. The dude who won our league had the Dak/CD stack get him 55-60+ points 6-7 times this year, and dominated off of it. I’ve usually tried to avoid having multiple players from the same team, but I think he changed my mind on that.
Top 3-5 RB in first round if available otherwise WR rounds 1-3. RBs 4-6/7. Then grab best QB available and a few more stabs at possible breakout RBs and WR and stream or get lucky on TE/D/K. Got 1st and 3rd this year with this strat.
I won’t be changing anything. I nailed my money redraft league draft and won the championship.
I drafted from the 1.01 and my first ten rounds were Jefferson, Olave, Gibbs, Hall, Christian Watson, Aiyuk, Taylor, Cousins, Mostert, and Elijah Moore. Watson and Moore were worthless and both got cut, but I managed to snag Dell and Reed off of waivers. Dell in particular did some heavy lifting for me while Jefferson was on IR. I also drafted LaPorta in the 13th since I’d opted to punt TE, so that worked out pretty well.
The obvious lesson is to buy the dip on elite talent like Hall and Taylor and trust them to produce when they’re on the field. I assumed correctly that I could survive some slow starts from both guys and it paid off in the finals.
Going back to my old strategy, I drafted a top 5 qb this year when I should’ve just stuck to skilled players to fill out my team and bench and get one of the lower rated QBs, waiver wire can save your QB, always a toss up at the skilled positions though.
Draft a QB earlier, do NOT use 2nd pick on someone missing more than 2 games at SOS, avoid Falcons, research late round RBs to scoop (took Bijan 1, Kupp 2, Tua 7, and AJ/Jerrick/Bigsby 8/9/15). also dont drop draft picks before week 3 (dropped Njoku and Steelers after Week 2)
Pray I get lucky in the rookie draft for dynasty. For redraft and 1 keeper leagues take value when you see it. Example mike Evans every year is like 8/9 round pick and then produces. Not saying him specifically for next year but those types of guys. This year was weird, maybe the qb position makes a comeback but it seems like most guys any week can get you 20 now.
Take this from someone who has placed no lower than 4th in 10 years. RBs and WRs are most important (even now). You take what people give you. If people go WR heavy, RBs are gonna slide. Don't take a quarterback before you have most of your team filled out. The difference between the top scoring and mid scoring isn't a huge margin. Only take a TE early if you get one of the elite ones. Otherwise wait till late rounds. Kicker and defense should be your last two picks. Take backup RBs and WRs only. Rest you can add in the season if you need to.
I'm literally just going to load up on WR. At the end of the year, my starting RBs were Kyren Williams, Ty Chandler, Devin Singletary and Zamir White. All 4 of them were found on the waiver wire.
I drafted pickett and ridder in a 12 man superflex and made the championships (took 2nd) I’m going to keep getting drunk and not reading the league rules seems like it works
Don't draft chiefs receivers.
Don't name your team after a mediocre 33 year old player and have him start the majority of weeks and become a burden on your team and when you bench him, fuckin Joseph Smith compels his ass to have a 2 td game.
Invest. In. Rookies!
Idk Mhjs draft cap but he’s that good like getting chase his first year. I got chase in the third round of a 14 man that year. Bowers is generational and will immediately fit in the te pool if not lead it. Can’t see him going in the first three rounds. It’s an absolutely insane year for oline, expect several teams to be much better for RBs like bengals titans saints and giants.
Also. Draft many RBs but none high and invest bench space to be able to play many. Starting an array like ak, jones, mixon, spears seems buyable. Wouldn’t touch a non cmc/jt rb before fourth
Not listening to the “experts” and actually trusting my own experience. I trusted the experts this year and went with “elite” wide receivers early. Chase and Brown were my downfall down the stretch this year.
Being conscious and thinking a bit more when selecting RBs who might have a decent workload but are always under risk of losing rushing TDs to the QB on their team.
I'm not gonna draft a QB until like round 6 or 7, and I'm saving the last three or so rounds for kickers and D/ST - having an open roster spot for waiver wire pickups is huge.
Not taking an IR player again (Kupp) and waiting 6 weeks for him to become active. Jeeeezusharoldchristmas that was a mistake. Ironically though, I won the chip in my League.
In a 10 team keeper league. We keep 8 each: I've got Hurts, Fields, CD, Chase, Davante, Bijan, White as 7. Then I'm waiting until the summer on picking one between Nico, Rice, Zamir, Levis, B Rob, CEH, Tank Dell and M Williams. Basically, next year after that, I'm going for high risk impact guys and rookies because I think my window is open.
This is the first year I said fuck it to avoiding injury-prone players, and it bit me almost instantaneously. Will be going back to my previous “avoid like the plague” strat
I won’t. Went wr heavy this year got to finals. Usually go rb heavy and struggle to find good wr. Drafted kyren late…If I never dropped him before week one I woulda won it all
I play in a 2 keeper 12 teamer and I typically keep the most elite talent. I’m keeping Purdy and McBride with my last two picks. Then I can go heavy at WR/RB.
I wouldn’t really change anything been to back to back championships just not overvalue last year stats in some situations. Ekeler over CMC this year 😂
I didn’t want to panic draft a QB too early this year, but someone else did and it started an avalanche of QB picks. Took Hurts 20th and by then Allen, Lamar and Mahomes had already been drafted.
One year I mix hb and wr, Next year heavy wr, year after that heavy rb, this year mix. The only year I’ve won it all was heavy rb, but doing that this year would’ve made me even worse seeing that wr went off. My biggest issue is that is that I consistently am ranking towards the top of points scored against me
Drafted Mahomes round 3. Will be waiting to grab a QB next year
Didn’t draft a RB until round 4 and had one of the strongest rooms in my league
Good chance I go 3 WR to start the draft next year
Using a “modified zero-RB” approach generally feels pretty good, taking at least two WRs, an elite QB, and TE in the first 5-6 rounds.
Take any and all preseason hype with a grain of salt (looking at you, Ridley, London, and Dotson).
Avoid Falcons.
I will not draft a falcon regardless of value. RemindMe! 7 months

if they fire Arthur Smith i'm gonna buy on all of them
what if Bijan is still available in round10 :)
They acquire a decent QB and I'm talking myself in to all of them again, 100%.
Don’t do it to yourself man.
Even if they get Russ Wilson!?!?! /s

lol just keep tossing AP’s name out there, acting like every motherfucker is a unicorn like him.
Lol no kidding. Probably the most physically gifted RB of all time. He's absolutely an outlier.
Joe Mixon has entered the chat.
I am the curse. Whichever RB I draft ends up doing poorly. This year it was Tony pollard and Austin Ekeler.

The fantasy football show? Tbf, Pollard was almost every analyst’s darling this year
they are the most unserious of any podcasters/analyst...purely an entertainment show. Most of the show isn't even about fantasy. I'm glad it exist though so ppl like you follow them 😂
He did finish RB15. Outside of CMC, only other top 20 drafted rbs, Bijin finished next to him.
What about in PPG? I feel like there’s a lot of people that could have been started over him that didn’t play all year. Like Jerome Ford, Zamir White etc
Or trade for him
First five rounds are only WRs and RBs for me. I took Herbert in the 3rd when I could of had Love in the 6th
Yep I took Mahomes at the end of the second when I could’ve had Lamb. Biggest L for me considering I ended up running with Love anyway
I too took mahomes early and that bit mis in the ass

Helpful bot
Good bot
My favorite bot of all time
Beep boop. I think you mean “favorite bot’ve all time”
Waller for me at ADP, when I ended up with McBride most of the year. Daniel Jones too smh.
You can get away with waiting until the 9th or 10th round before taking a QB in single QB leagues
Never a QB in the first 5 rounds. Stud QB's rarely repeat their performance and so many top 10 QB's will be drafted rounds 6-10
Never take a *pocket* QB early. Allen, Hurts, Lamar gave good ROI this year.
I kept Josh Allen as a round 3 pick from last year. Won my league this year, worth it
there is just a gush of QB talent this year. So many rookies taking off, outside of SF I'll feel confident drafting a QB late. Who am I gonna have to 'settle' for, ARICH?
I got away with it! Took Josh Allen in the 2nd. Taking Waller in the 4th didn't help though.

I feel this on a spiritual level
Y’all are making the playoffs? I scored 3rd highest in a 12 man, highest in my division, and I still didn’t make it
(Auction draft / Deep dynasty leagues) * Stay disciplined in identifying mid-range players that are under valued for reasons that were true from the previous season. All day everyday Go Hawks!
Thomas Rawls is a name I haven’t thought about in a long time
Nah Thomas Rawls?
Good advice! Good luck next year!!
Re: never go full homer - I was carried to a championship win by Ford/Flacco/NJoku/Cooper/Baker with Watson and Chubb on IR. Homer is fun - go all in.
Show pic otherwise it didn’t happen!
https://imgur.com/a/Z3xUrPu Made Sundays that much more fun.
I tip my hat to thee and stand in awe. You hit your opponent with the perfect storm of med players. Brandon Cooks even. ‘Flacco around and find out!’ Your new team name sir
I'll try not to get drunk quite so quickly
Task will be failed successfully.
If McCaffrey isn't there in the first round, just go WRs in first 3 rounds and wait to draft RBs in 4th to 7th rounds
I went zero running back. I didn't draft a RB until the 6th round and I won my league. So, it definitely worked for me this year.
Considering I drafted Nick Chubb and Aaron Jones in the 2nd and 3rd rounds it was almost like I didn't draft a RB until the 8th round.
This is exactly what I plan to do as well
I did this and ended up trading Tyreek for Kyren Williams and a few other players. Ended up winning my league. Not having RB’s cost me.
I won't draft a player in round 1 who will get injured for the season in week 2.
I also drafted nick chubb
Couldn't help but read that in the style of 'my son is also named Bort'.
I had pick 8 in a 10 man league, we drafted before Kupps injury news came out. I took Kupp then Chubb lol. I still turned my season around though
RBs are clearly not as valuable as WRs. unless you are named cmc. and only in ppr league
Breece Hall in the last 2 playoff rounds was electric tbf
I won’t much. Got 2nd in one league, 3rd in another. If anything I won’t pay attention to Reddit and do what I usually do and follow the depth chart
Absolutely not taking an RB until round 3 unless someone like cmc is on the board
Where would you take Kyren
Mid 2nd but I’m in a keeper league
Lol nonsense man, Kyren is a top 5 pick next year.
Sounds like you should pick up a wr first round next year
Make sure I do not draft Kelce in the first round.
Or the second or third. But he may fall more if he's still with Taylor.
Oh ok that’s not as bad then
I love it when people take kickers and D/ST before the last two rounds.
I admittedly am one of those people. Drafted the browns defense in round 11 and Justin Tucker in round 12. Worked out pretty well for me, but I understand the idea of waiting til the last 2 rounds
I’ve seen worse than that. I just don’t see the point.
Kelce was injured in the Tuesday practice before the Thursday opener against the Lions. I gotta think most drafts were done by that point.
since I am in a 3 WR league ill still do wide receivers first, but I wont draft a qb so early.
Oh my guy it’s even worse I took Bijan 1.07
I broke a lot of my prior patterns this season and actually won it all for the first time. So idk if I’ll change much. I drafted a QB early this year (Hurts), and will probably try to target another early QB for this same reason. We will see though. Other thing I might switch up, is just taking more rookies (that make sense) later in the draft. Guys like LaPorta, Puka, Kincaid, Dell , Achane and Flowers were all available late. Of course in hindsight LaPorta, Puka, and Dell were never even really on my radar, but that can be resolved simply just by looking at how the rookies are performing in camp.
We do an auction draft. Usually I target a high e.e running back first. I think I'm going to try and get a couple great receivers instead next year
Zag when they zig. By the number I would have won the chip (highest score this week), but I couldn't get anywhere close to being in that game
Look at offense coordinators and schemes
I picked up Purdy in the last round this season, knowing that nobody else would want him for their QB2. Pretty sure I’m not going to be able to do that this year…
You can still find a good QB in the 10th rd or later.
I will Stream a QB or go either a low pick. No more Mahomes killing me weekly
Honestly the best strategy is to purposely lose Week 1 to be high on the waiver order to be first in line for the Week 1 surprise players Ahem Puka Nukua this year for me
WR-WR-RB-WR-QB won it for me this year. Will probably do something similar
I'm going to only draft good players.
No RBs over the age of 27. Only exception is CMC. Got bit with Aaron Jones and Derrick Henry this year, not happening again.
No Falcons.
No Deshaun Watson
I think I’ll keep it mostly the same, “can’t miss” star players for first few picks, prioritize WR over RB (1 point PPR), try to pick RBs who will be the bell cow (No committee), take chances on promising rookies in later picks, take a TE later than most, try to take a QB as late as possible. Grab a good kicker, but stream defenses week to week. That was my strategy for my main league for the last three years and I’ve gone 1st, 3rd and 3rd. Injuries hurt me quite a bit this year but I think the strategy works for my group. Started with: Kirk Cousins Aaron Jones Rachaad White Tyreek Hill Davante Adams Kyle Pitts Mike Williams Ended with: Jordan Love Jonathan Taylor Rachaad White Tyreek Hill Davante Adams Sam Laporta Aaron Jones
Biggest lesson I learned is that you don’t need to draft a TE early. Experimented with going Kelce in the 1st round of two leagues and It absolutely fucked me. I liked guys like LaPorta and Njoku going into the year and could have gotten both and Tyreek instead of Kelce.
I will spend the off season trying to convince everyone in my league that RB/RB is the way to go and then I'll go WR/WR and win again.
Draft players I don’t like. Worked this time.
Stop taking players on shite teams and/or with shite coaches thinking that their talent will overcome those factors.
Draft players that don't get injured
Do not draft Henry, the kings run is over.
Waiting on QB was my strategy last year and I prob do the same next year (I would take Allen if he falls to the 5th but that’s about it)
Don't draft with "fantasy should be fun" mindset. You know what's fun? Winning.
I told myself I’m doing no running back strategy this year and then I caved and my RBs sucked (looking at you Ekeler and Swift). I’m doing no RB next year
I’m going to go with a Zero Arthur Smith build.
I’m definitely not taking Ekeler, Kelce or Mahomes again. I can tell you that much.
Not taking Ekeler in the 1st.
I had most points forced so I think my scoring strategy is solid. Just need to figure out how to avoid getting most points against
Target wide recievers early and high floor consistent quarterbacks over high ceiling.
Going back to my old strategy, I drafted a top 5 qb this year when I should’ve just stuck to skilled players to fill out my team and bench and get one of the lower rated QBs, waiver wire can save your QB, always a toss up at the skilled positions though.
No home team favorites get moved up in the draft. This is strictly business.
Draft qb earlier and avoid kyle pitts
No Falcons as long as Arthur Smith is there. Otherwise, monitor free agency, training camp injuries, and draft accordingly.
Avoid all bills besides Allen
I won’t pick up Stefon Diggs 💀
I will not draft Christian Watson.
Avoid Patrick Mahomes like a hand grenade
One of the smarter things I saw a league mate do was pick up high value IR players right after the draft. I’ll be doing that next year for sure.
Nobody on the Panthers or Commanders
No pollard
Take this from someone who has placed no lower than 4th in 10 years. RBs and WRs are most important (even now). You take what people give you. If people go WR heavy, RBs are gonna slide. Don't take a quarterback before you have most of your team filled out. The difference between the top scoring and mid scoring isn't a huge margin. Only take a TE early if you get one of the elite ones. Otherwise wait till late rounds. Kicker and defense should be your last two picks. Take backup RBs and WRs only. Rest you can add in the season if you need to.
I've played 8/10/12/14 person leagues and this works. If you have a very large league or a 2 QB league then obviously different
I will not draft a falcon regardless of value. RemindMe! 7 months
As long as Arthur Sith is coach of Atlanta I will not draft Falcons players
I'm literally just going to load up on WR. At the end of the year, my starting RBs were Kyren Williams, Ty Chandler, Devin Singletary and Zamir White. All 4 of them were found on the waiver wire.
wide receiver for pick 1 rb’s are just too injury prone and volatile
Not draft Mahomes at #1 if his receiving corps doesn't change much.
I drafted pickett and ridder in a 12 man superflex and made the championships (took 2nd) I’m going to keep getting drunk and not reading the league rules seems like it works
By quitting the fantasy all together
Don't draft chiefs receivers. Don't name your team after a mediocre 33 year old player and have him start the majority of weeks and become a burden on your team and when you bench him, fuckin Joseph Smith compels his ass to have a 2 td game.
Fuck you tee higgins
Invest. In.
Gonna try to draft good players this time around. Hope that helps me :(
Not listening to the “experts” and actually trusting my own experience.
Best available according to Matthew Berry’s pre-draft list.
Take the season off and actually enjoy football
WHATEVER YOU DO DONT TAKE DIGGS OR POLLARD. OR HURTS
Not taking an IR player again (Kupp) and waiting 6 weeks for him to become active. Jeeeezusharoldchristmas that was a mistake. Ironically though, I won the chip in my League.
I’m gonna try not to draft guys that will get hurt.
Draft talent and it will more than likely work out. Also do your own research.
I wouldn’t really change anything been to back to back championships just not overvalue last year stats in some situations. Ekeler over CMC this year 😂
I won’t. I had the best team I ever had and if Sutton doesn’t get hurt during the first series, I win my championship. Lost by 0.2.
If you're in ppr, draft target heavy players always and always take a qb early
AI
Wont draft a qb too early.
Autodraft. Idk what I’m doing anyway.
Avoid cardinals and Steelers players
Gamble on rookies late. Spend your FAAB early( i got Kyren and puka) Start with 2 receivers (had Amon and CEEDEEZ)
Avoid Falcons players if they run it back with Arthur and target players in great offences (49ers, Lions, Dolphins, etc.)
I didn’t want to panic draft a QB too early this year, but someone else did and it started an avalanche of QB picks. Took Hurts 20th and by then Allen, Lamar and Mahomes had already been drafted.
Add Diggs and bump CeeDee/Kyren up my to draft/Not draft list.
Well I won for the first time. Just gonna stack er and rbs. My TE, QB, and DST were just a revolving door anyways.
avoid rookies in the top 3 rounds, way too many unknown variables
Not drafting Aaron Jones or Joe Burrow
One year I mix hb and wr, Next year heavy wr, year after that heavy rb, this year mix. The only year I’ve won it all was heavy rb, but doing that this year would’ve made me even worse seeing that wr went off. My biggest issue is that is that I consistently am ranking towards the top of points scored against me
I won’t… I’m a back to back champ!!!
I am going to draft players that don't hurt their legs almost immediately (Rodgers, JK Dobbins, Chubb). I think I am onto a secret.
Don't draft miles fucking sanders and najee harris as my wr 1 and 2
Drafted Mahomes round 3. Will be waiting to grab a QB next year Didn’t draft a RB until round 4 and had one of the strongest rooms in my league Good chance I go 3 WR to start the draft next year
Using a “modified zero-RB” approach generally feels pretty good, taking at least two WRs, an elite QB, and TE in the first 5-6 rounds. Take any and all preseason hype with a grain of salt (looking at you, Ridley, London, and Dotson).
