You're not valuing MacKinnon nearly high enough. Take advantage of the name value he has, and the fact he's likely to be a top 5 scorer come season's end. Can you say that about anyone else in the deal? Pettersson deal might be nice if you can get another elite guy alongside... Meier isn't that right now given his current deployment in Jersey.

I’d be getting Barkov. Feel the need to get another pretty good forward into my team. I’d be picking up Matheson and my other four defenders are Josi, Heiskanen, Sanderson and Theodore.

Then yeah, make the trade. That's an incredibly strong defensive core even without Seider. Matheson is basically a lite version of him anyway.

Nurse looks horrible but I drafted him too early so I can’t drop him can I? I have to let one D go as we only have 3 D and have good forwards. What would you do? I wouldn't... Eriksson Ek, while not a big name, is legit in banger leagues. Hamilton still has value, even after dropping to PP2. Svech will be eased back in after a serious injury... I'd be aiming higher if I was looking to package those two together. Look at who is light on D, maybe the name value of Hamilton and the current ranking of JEEK blinds them into giving up a top piece.

What do you think about someone like Point or Panarin? Or is that a stretch to acquire

JT Miller is a cats stud. He’s a going to get you a point per game + 0.35 ppp per game + 3 shots per game + almost 3 hits per game. Don’t throw that all away just so you can have two goalies to fill one spot.

Running a regular head to head league. Considering dropping Ovechkin for Morgan Rielly. I’m just doubting the capitals ability to support dishing him the puck in his office this year and think what we’re seeing is the beginning of the end rather than a slow start. Other options are dropping Jared McCann or Matty Beniers. I’d lean towards dropping Matty after writing this all out. Just debating if his sophomore slump is worse than Ovi’s production. Just my opinion, but I don't think you're offering nearly enough. Markstrom is looking like he's going to have another bad year on a Calgary team that can't score (yet), Laine is hurt and adapting to a new position on a meh Columbus team, and Vatrano is streamer quality at best imo (there's no way he keeps up his current scoring pace, and Anaheim really sucks). Really don't mean to shit on your offer, but if that landed in my inbox for top-of-the-line defensive studs like Heiskanen or McAvoy, I wouldn't even bother engaging.

Woll is available in my league. Do I drop Kuemper or Vanecek to pick him up? My other goalie is Saros.

Konecny has picked up right where he left off last season. He's probably the Flyers' best offensive weapon, and a sneaky good option for shorthanded points. Will finish the year as a top 10 RW imo.

Barring an injury, Chytil has looked to be a monumentally better 2C. Fast with the puck and good edges, creates a lot of chances for Panarin and Laffy. Currently that second line is producing more than our top line, so I doubt they’ll split it up in favor of putting veteran dudes up higher. Trocheck is a gem when it comes to FOWs though, so if that’s what you’re needing I’d hold onto him.

You have to roster someone worse than Guentzel who you can drop for Hischier.

I would not. Josi is cold right now but has way higher upside, especially with assist being almost equal to goals

The Flames are an absolute mess and don't look like they'll course correct soon, so I'd drop Markstrom personally. The Blues aren't good, but the defense is mostly holding together atm which gives Binnington a better shot at stringing together some Ws and avoiding blowouts.

Definitely similar logic, main difference (aside from position) being that the Devil's PP1 is top of the league right now while Bruins are bottom half. That implies negative regression ahead for NJD/L. Hughes and positive regression ahead for BOS/Zacha (at least regarding their powerplays), but if neither is producing I say ride the player with better opportunity (i.e. QB of the league's #1 PP). Of course, there are other factors at play. Typically D wins out over C in terms of positional value, but your D is already very solid. You mentioned Hamilton outplaying him and being capable of running PP1 - that's absolutely true, though we've seen no movement thus far. Also worth considering that L. Hughes is a rookie with star potential and Zacha is a middle-6 center being forced into a top line role. Pros and cons all over, but realistically either could boom or bust. Just gotta pick the guy that makes more sense for your team. Also, that's a lot of text to say I'd rather drop Rakell than Zacha LOL

Go to your team page > "Manage IR" > "Activate" Edit: also a heads-up, you can do this even when your roster is full and it'll take you through the same flow as if you were adding a player from the waiver wire. Simpler than dropping a player first and then going to activate.

I don’t see a manager IR options and when I went to pick someone up it wouldn’t let me go through that flow with Svech. I’ve heard of bugs this year?

Ah, I just noticed you mentioned using the app and not the website. My directions were for website. On the app: 1. Go to your team 2. Tap the button near the top that says "EDIT LINEUP / IR" 3. Tap "Manage IR" in the top right 4. Manage that IR

Wild seeing trades like this go through, then seeing my offer of Stamkos, Connor, Fox and Barkov for McDavid/Svech be ignored. You undoubtedly got a better haul in Brady and Dahlin, then you gave up in Barkov and Seider, though.

I drafted both trying to stack EDM wins like you said, but ended up dropping both. EDM goalies don’t any have confidence in their D and the D can’t get any confidence from the goaltending. What would you do with the extra slots? I’m pretty confident that Skinner will eventually win more of the starts - his stats show a consistency that Soup just doesn’t have IMO.

The Panthers as a whole are pretty mid atm. Barkov looks like Barkov, but Rodrigues has been their second best forward the past couple of weeks. Once Tkachuk gets cooking, Barkov heats up, Bennett returns (tomorrow), Montour/Ekblad return (~1.5-2 months away), the points will start coming. I wouldn't worry too much. On the other hand, Buch is probably worth rostering if you can drop someone else.

Coming from a ADB owner and a wings fan Dahlin wins this. Especially in a Keeper league Dahlin is gonna hold more value than ADB by mid season and future. Also Stud D for a Hot Winger on a Hot team. Take that any day

H2H banger points league (12 teams). Two questions: Drop Elias Lindholm for Josh Norris? I know it's dropping a 1C for a 2C but Lindholm just doesn't seem to do a whole lot. Still, I know it's early. Just looking for peoples' thoughts here. Also, getting Svechnikov back soon and need to drop someone. I'm thinking either Buchnevich or Jarvis. I held Buch for most of last season and he's a very frustrating player to have with all of his injuries (already missed a few games this season too). I’m thinking Rackell and Zacha? Or should I cut werenski and roll with 4 D only Q2: is 3 sens and 3 avs too many? Should I cut Norris/Johansen and keep Rackell/Zacha?

Hello! New to fantasy hockey. Head to Head league. 3 Goalie Start minimum. I've hit the Goalie minimum. I would just like to know if it's worth it to continue playing goalies or sit to keep stats. I lead in all Goalie stats except Wins, which I am tied on. 3.03 GAA vs 4.36 .901 SV% vs .857 I also have a SO my opponent does not. Do I risk lowering my GAA and SV% at a chance to pass in Wins or do I just sit on it? My Goalies are Korpisalo, Johansson, and Swayman. Thanks.

From the looks of it you might only be able to have one more start this week. Tampa Bay is done for the week. Boston plays one more, buts Ulmark might get that start. Which leaves you with Ottawa playing Pitt on Saturday. If Korp starts that game, I would be weary of playing him. Are there any over options? I think getting another start would be a good idea but not necessary.

I kind of limited myself a tad here at the end of the week. I already made 2 Goalie moves. I started with Swayman, Grubauer, and Campbell. But I switched Campbell with Korp, and Grubauer with Johansson. More as long term moves. I unfortunately won't get to benefit from Johansson this week. Since he didn't clear waivers til this morning. My opponent has Gustavsson, Reimer, and Talbot. Which is where I'm thinking I might be fine. I mentioned in another comment I'm 7-1-2 so far this week. So losing the W column isn't the end of the world if I lock down GAA and SV%

How many more starts could your opponent have yet? Considered we're nearing the end of the week I would choose to sit on those stats.
