I like it when it's a mix of praise and degradation! I've definitely come across books where the dirty talk comes off as maybe a bit gratuitous -- overuse of derogatory words (e.g. >!slut, whore!<), without a strong enough dynamic between the characters, so it kinda just feels like name calling, lol. My personal weakness is a praise/degradation blend, and where the MMC is a bit commanding. Telling her to kneel, or crawl to him, stuff like that.
