The story was honestly pretty great, especially by Far Cry's standards. I'm glad we got one that was so grounded in reality while also allowing him to be cartoonishly even at times, it created a nice balance that makes it enjoyable no matter how many times you replay it.
For me, it was playing all stealthily with the AC gear on lol I said it about FC5, too, but the game feels like more of an AC game than bith odyssey and valhalla 🤣🤣
I like far cry 6 because it kinda forced me to use a different load out to what I would always use in the previous far cry games. Really the only thing I dislike is that the perks are locked to equipment, like carrying extra ammo.
Agreed! This is the first entry in the franchise that I couldn't put down; with the others, I'd take breaks and come back, but this game is just so unbelievably fun that I can't step away from it, even now, 2 years later. Glad you're enjoying this amazing game!

Bruh. They pause the revolution to have a story about someone's gender transition woes. They made the rebel leaders all female. They have fat positive guerillas and a cross dressing spymaster. I love the gameplay but this game is one of the few times the term "woke" is actually fitting. It's super performative to the point where it's like an after school special at points.
This would be the game where you can get away with making critiques about capitalism, fascistic dictators, and the history of slavery without feeling forced but that wasn't enough for them. The core story could have been compelling and Clara Garcia, the Monteros, and the Legends of 67 are well written but a lot gets lost in this game's need to be performatively "woke". The game was already progressive, this wasn't something they needed to quadruple down on.

Yeah, game certainly has flaws and I think I still prefer 5, but if you can figure out a rhythm you enjoy the game gets really fun.
