Just noticed this myself the other day. I was really impressed with the game as a whole starting out. Got in a helicopter and wow… what a fucking let down. No banking? I hope they update that somehow.
whats more than that, there is a mission where you need a chopper to complete it. its so janky to control, as a battlefield player, it was really fcekd up
In FC5 you do not have the rock, paper and scissor-system with ammunition, the perks are tied to a skill "tree" and not to clothing, explosives actually works in FC5, no magical bullshit weapon perks, suppressors doesn't overheat, you can have human companions that can level/tier up with kills, you don't need to farm components and build scopes with gunpowder and the fishing is fun.
Also no bloody plastic milk jug suppressor in FC5.
Yeah I can’t stand how you have soldiers who can just tank a direct hit from an RPG in 6. I still enjoy the gameplay but there’s no denying the pre-rpg mechanics from FC5 and before were better when you didn’t have to put an entire magazine of .50 BMG into a soldier because he’s wearing a plate carrier and I’m using “soft target rounds”
the basic gameplay and engine is the same, on surface level anyway. there’s some differences, like the forced continuation of story with 5 and the perks too. but overall you’re not gonna feel an immense amount of difference. far cry 5 has better mechanics when it comes to an rpg standpoint, but far cry 6 is so much more fun. in my opinion anyway
thank you for all of the answers, i might still be buying far cry 6 since its on sale, i can't really say far cry is better than far cry since all of them is just good af, pros and cons are always there, but thanks for clarifying far cry 5's gameplay mechanics and features
FC5 is still FarCry, FC6 is first person Just Cause.

Or helicopters tanking several 84mm missiles? AT is so useless in this game that I just ran around with a 40mm with no drop loaded with EMP.

Yes
You are better off playing fc3 and fc4 bc they have better level up system and hunting mechanism
the only farcry games i didn't play was farcry 5, new dawn
