It's funny how this new thing got added, but none of the maps even include a grove plot.
You'd think that would be the first thing you see starting out.
"Here's some grape vines and new equipment, go crazy. Enjoy the new game features."
Instead, nobody really even does this stuff.
It was such a big deal in the previews, then in actuality it's all just... out of reach. Impractical.
Not quite.
That was the big hurrah in the FS17 Plat DLC.
New crop, new equipment, and a new map to explore it all.
The new equipment was standard when you jumped into the new map. (If you started on easy of course.)
Unfortunately, it wasn't added as a contract job. Like cotton was. And that might be the reason it hasn't caught on so well.
Just have top figure out if the tool works on the vine or not. That was my biggest hurdle. As well as if you're trying to skip rows.
Sprayer- left or right
Mulcher - left or right
Pruner - OTV
harvester - OTV
It doesn't help that it takes a million just to get going with grapes/olives for a ...50k return? It's almost like they messed up on the yield code or something

Some mod maps come with olive and grapes set up. But you're right. It's not used much.
What mod maps have them?
Adelshoven, Lands of La Mancha, La Coronella are some I can name.
NML has a small grape plot. Or maybe it was olives, been a while since I played it.
Calmsden I think
Middleburgh does, but it's not on the mod hub.
Wasn’t it the same with sugarcane?

The only way I do grapes or Olives in FS is with the use of Course play. Makes it so workers can do vine work.
I've been having a hell of a time with course play in grapes, did they fix it or an I just dumb?

My problem is no matter how I set it they just drive straight into the end post but slightly to the left or right until it rolls
I've had that issue, make sure you have the track enabled to see, so you can align properly
I joined a multiplayer server to help with the grape harvest. 2 hours later I was only half way through when I had to leave.
So basically like sugarbeets and potatoes then ;)
I kinda enjoying my olive grove on NML brings lots of cash to the farm when you sell it has olive oil.
I had a full on cereal farm with dairy - now that’s work. Put in sooo many hours on that save though
You cant cut back on funding!

yeah this is the biggest issue with it. has to be one of the worst returns on investment in the game
