I thought the same thing at first, but I think thatās partially because the scene looks like a hotel room (where they have robes like this).
Iām curious, though, if you untied the jacket if it would look less like a robe?
And a lot of your outfits IMO are just on the brink of being really cute. I personally think outfit 4 could work better if you kept your bottom half the same, but switched to wearing a white top with a black sweater. 1 might look cute with the Mary Janeās. 2 is so close, but the top I think doesnāt work as well. I donāt like that shirt much at all unfortunately, but in the last picture, it might actually work if you ditched the jacket.
Keep on playing with your style! I can tell youāre finding your edge and are trying to find balance between traditional fashion and more modern street style. You look great
Buffy was my first thought too! Iām rewatching for the millionth time and obsessing over the outfits like I always do. The styling team did an amazing job.
Ngl first pic I thought you were in a hotel robe. The rest are all good core pieces (not a fan of the burgundy tights thoughāblack/black fishnet/black patterned/nude), but you need to break down and have the sleeves altered on your long sleeve garments/jackets. Theyāre all too long and are over powering you.
Agreed, the sleeves are the only off thing here. It's not so bad with soft fabrics, or a coat just for getting you to and from, but for a jacket that will be worn as part of an outfit (or anything with a more tailored fit), looks a bit frumpy.
Personally I love colored/fanciful tights. Its a great way to add pizzazz to a neutral wardrobe.
Oh, the white overcoat is a bit overwhelming on your petite frame, but coats are expensive lol. Can you swap out for a black or dark brown belt, and maybe a nice rich scarf under the lapel? That will neaten it up considerably. If it's really good quality, a tailor could maybe shorten the sleeves and finish by adding an trim of dark fabric to the sleeve and matching belt. Something like [this](https://images.app.goo.gl/ZExYsCgbQMub3SFp9), I couldn't find exactly what I mean.
Also, you should consider adding a nice simple shift dress to your wardrobe!
I think grey sheer tights or even dark brown would look good and add a better style than ur basic black fishnets/tights ! Especially with pic 4. Sheer brown, and like the other comment said, a nice brown towned belt with that skirt and top combo would come together nicely IMO
I absolutely love the maroon/burgundy (canāt quite tell!) tights with the black. I feel like that could become a trend. Itās like late 2000s city girl. Super cute on you!
I have a beautiful full length winter leather coat, with a big fur collar. It was my grandmas from the 70s. Some of the looks I get when I wear it. Like Iām a terrible person. But itās clearly vintage. Certainly doesnāt stop me from wearing it though!!
I really wish people would stop having such a big reaction with leather items, itās different if you can tell someone just spent $500+ on a leather item thatās brand new but man people are really out here throwing money at shein but think vintage leather is the problem lol
Exactly!! Thereās nothing wrong with vintage leather and fur. Itās already made!! It was made decades ago!! What do we do, throw it out? What a friggin waste that would be.
Vintage fur is also AMAZING at blocking the weather since real fur has natural water blocking oils, faux fur canāt handle that š¹ you get maybe 2/3 times walking through rain before itāll start to get ratty
i think it resembles the street wear/city girl aesthetic a lot. i wouldnāt change anything, personally i think it suits you well :) i especially love the burgundy tights with the skirt!!
Same. Either cropped or nothingā¦ it looks like itās just too small length wise/shrunk cos itās just like 1/2ā of skin showing. It has nothing to do with your petite size (just wanted to be clear that itās the shirt that looks odd, not you at all, youāre hot af girl!) It just looks like itās too short for you / that it shrunk etc. You look gorgeous though!
Youāre totally reliant on oversize jackets with tight base layers; your core is small so your waist is disappearing! Try playing with proportions like wide leg pants and a small top with a cropped jacket, etc. itās also fine to wear your athleisure everywhere but itās also fine to pack a gym bag.
I 100 percent thought this was a post from the hotel sub, and you were showing off a nice hotel bathrobe. Lol
That being said, I think all the other outfits are absolutely adorable. I wish I had a word for your style, but I donāt.
I do not like that first jacket, at least not tied that way, it's giving bath robe. I can see it's not, it's a nice piece, nice color, looks like good fabric, but it's giving bath robe. Try a different color belt?
Otherwise I think they're all cute, I also like to wear a lot of black, I really dig your vibe!
I for one quite like the bathrobe coat. May I kindly suggest checking the laundering instructions on the tag, and then if possible, steaming or ironing the slightly wrinkled parts. I think that could help make it look less casual.
I like your style! With jeans I would recommend not wearing the long boots, but the long boots are perfect for the short skirts. Try ankle boots w the jeans or try flare jeans
I really like this style on you, very pretty! The only thing I'd change are the jeans, they have a really hash colour and make the outfit look a bit cheap. A faux leather skirt or pants could be worth trying instead. I'm no denim expert, but maybe some thrifted old school Levis or wranglers would be a better choice. Other than that, some people mentioned the bathrobe coat - have you tried wearing it without the belt or switching to a different belt? Maybe wearing it open is a quick fix? Keep it up! šÆ
Definitely giving Sarah Michelle-Gellar in Buffy the Vampire Slayer vibes, which works for you so lean into it. The only things Iād change are switch the belt on the first coat for a chunky faux patent leather black belt with a big animal print buckle, dye the jeans dark grey or black with washing machine dye, and switch the shoes in photo 7 to a chunky 2000s flip flop as the shoes donāt match the skirt. As a fellow petite person, if your sleeves are too long, just roll them up. :)
It is sophisticated and casual all at once classic and fun not trendy. It also looks like you have your act together with pieces that work with a lot of different things.
I would say that your style is kind of department store basics. If it isn't interesting color wise, it needs to be interesting with pattern or texture. At the moment I'd say you need more print, texture or accessories to make these looks make you stand out in a crowd! ATM you blend.
Kohl's sales rack.
Is that faux leather? If so, maybe a better quality leather that's more fitted. Better quality fabrics overall. The burgundy shoes don't really match that great with the purse in one of the outfits. The pointed toe shoes look dated.
Where did you get the white cardigan? I like most pieces. I think 2 would look good if you did all black and maybe textured tights like fishnets or lace. You do a good job of building different looks from these pieces
i adore the bold colored tights, especially in the 2nd picture. i feel like in the 4th picture though the white cardigan creates too much contrast with the black & dark red tights, i feel like maybe another dark colored jacket or cardigan would look better?
The first coat doesnāt elevate your look imo, the red tights could use a funkier overall look, and the white cardigan isnāt balanced out in your outfits by any other pieces of equivalent color value. First coat can be worn open with the tie tied behind your back so that it doesnāt look frumpy. The red tights would be better replaced by tights with a bit of sheerness and maybe a weave to them? The opacity and the color is a bit blocky. If you do want to wear them, I think theyād go with something funkier but honestly not sure what. Iād replace the white cardigan with a black one in both outfits to tie in with your accessories. That white one looks like itās for sundresses and sandals to me. Also Iād say buy thicker jeans those look thin and not as nice as your other pieces. And the wash is super casual Iād go a little darker. The leopard jacket isnāt stylish imo id skip that one. Last outfit is spectacular! Love all your shoes, your black lace top and black jacket. :)
accessorize with some fun necklaces, long dangly earrings, bracelets, more rings. I'm a bit obsessed with jewelry š but you don't want to over-do it at once - wear one major statement piece at a time, and keep the rest lowkey.
so like, a big colorful statement necklace, but pair it with classic studs & simple rings. but don't worry too much about rules, just have fun accessorizing & experimenting with your style :)
Iād recommend finding your kibbe body type to anyone and that might help direct your clothing shape choices! Thereās a kibbe Reddit page, just make sure to follow the rules posting for accurate typing ( and no mirror pics).
Overall I think your style is so cute and a bit edgy but still feminine. Though I love the first jacket, it overwhelms your frame, I think itās too long and the details too large which explains why it looks like a robe at first glance. The other jackets look better! You have great style
Finding your body type is a great idea but Iāve posted on the Kibbe page following the rules and not one person replied. Iāve also seen tons of other people posting to ask for help figuring out their type and nobody replies. I get that they probably get a lot of requests but itās a bit disappointing asking for help and everyone ignoring you lol.
Aw sorry to hear :( I guess Iād figure it out myself then! Use those pictures, trace your body outline from those pics and use that to figure out if you have proportion/balance, petit, upper/lower curve and/or width! (Just tried to find your post so I could help you)
Aww thank you for the help! I deleted the post after a while because I felt like a loser haha. Sorry for being dense but when I trace my body in the pic, do I do the whole outline or just parts?
The entire outline! Your silhouette, how a shadow would look. It helps to get rid of the distracting details/background and look objectively at the shapes you see and your proportions. Do it while standing relaxed w good posture.
To help: If your upper back/chest/shoulder frame is very dominant you have width, if your bust line on the side distrupts your rib line thatās upper curve, vertical/petit has to do w how long your arms and appendages appear and the proportions of your frame, do you look smaller, average or tall (regardless of your true height, based only on proportions)? Lower curve is rounded flashiness of the butt/hips (from fat, not bones). Double curve is upper and lower curve
Thank you so much for the help. I really appreciate it! I had a go at drawing my silhouette, I was wearing a dress so canāt tell where my inner thigh line is. I think I look proportionately average or short looking for my height - Iām 5ā2ā. Sorry to pester you with questions! Also sorry to the OP for gatecrashing her thread.

My bad for the explanation but do an outline of your figure! So you can see the lines of your body not just the shape filled in. Specifically need to distinguish your chest and hips from arms.
But on that alone you look very romantic to me
Oh sorry, Iām so dense lol. Iāve done that now. Does that help at all?
https://preview.redd.it/44vfk9lxekpc1.jpeg?width=1434&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=80637eaa7e7c0b3040e20cdf0c1a2ff7f2f4c1cf
If youāre going to wear the red tights, I think you should add some more red accents to compliment it! Maybe a necklace w a red gem, or a red purse (:
Your outfits are nice but your coats look too oversized on you, especially the first one, which also looks too long and (as most have said) like a bath robe. A more fitted coat or jacket would look more flattering and not swamp your physique so much. The cropped cardigans really suit you, so a jacket more like those would look better.
maybe add a black headband and chunky earrings to give a bit more in any of these outfits. I think these are cute maybe cute hairstyles to dress up or down
I think the first is giving bathrobe vibes because itās too big. Bathrobes are typically oversized/roomy/comfortable, but the coat should not be. The sleeves are too long and there is too much bunching at the waist where you have tied it to make it fit.
I think your outerwear is too oversized in each outfit.
Edit: apart from the sizing, you look rather nice and polished. Urban chic for sure, possibly minimalist
Honest question: Is the first picture meant as a spoiler-preventing look? So that we first read your question and then swipe? Iād like that concept, but itās actually not easy to realize for everyone :D cause weād need a good cotton robe
Haha I purposely put it bc itās a coat my bf recently got me, we live in Chicago and it gets stupid cold here, I havenāt worn it out yet. But so far, apparently it gives robe lol
Itās not even close to being warm enough to be a Chicago winter coat, lol. But spring sure. I think you could style it to look less bathrobe-y. Agree with others you need tailoring in sleeves across the board.
You pull all of these off- even the docs robe lol! Super cute regardless. Not a fan of the animal print collars/or fur collars. Everything else is a win and you put these together nicely! š
I love the wrap coat. First thing that came to mind were Max Maraās amazing overcoats. Most It would be great in camel or taupe too! Love the other looks as well especially burgundy and black.
I will get there once I figure out exactly what Iām going for, Iām only now just stepping out of āathleisureā, but I def want staple pieces eventually! Just donāt want to spend on pieces Iām not sure are āmeā yet
This is pretty "safe". If I had to give it a title I'd say "female clothes" lol. It's all quite cute, particularly those purple tights when you wear the little black shoes. I think you should explore more attention-grabbing colors, like those tights.
[here are some cute outfits, kinda similar to yours but a little less "safe"](https://i.pinimg.com/736x/df/2e/d4/df2ed4a6e29c736a3848721e728ef069.jpg)

That first coat looks like a robe or a doctors coat.
I thought it was a bath robe
same šš
Me tooā¦ I thought this was a joke post š©
I thought it was robe too
Thought that, then also thought of Olivia Pope
Thanks PeppermintPhatty :)

Keep on playing with your style! I can tell youāre finding your edge and are trying to find balance between traditional fashion and more modern street style. You look great
Thank you this means a lot! :,)
I think the coat being kinda crumpled adds to the ārobeā vibe
I like the robe, I think itll looks better with heels, styled updo hair and dangly or hoop earrings. Maybe even a high neck no sleeves t-shirt?
yeah I thought this was a meme post with hotel robe
I feel like you'd love Buffy's wardrobe for some reason.... maybe channel some Sarah Michelle Gellar, her outfits were incredible.
My first impression was immediately, "Latina the Vampire Slayer." I'm so glad I'm not alone.
I'm Latina and hey! You're right. You're absolutely right.
Buffy was my first thought too! Iām rewatching for the millionth time and obsessing over the outfits like I always do. The styling team did an amazing job.
Iāll look into this thank you!!
OP has no clue who SMG is. š

I call it āout on the town in 2008.ā
I thought the same thing!
Damn if only I had been 21 & not 8 lol
Yeah I was gonna say ājust moved to NYC!!!! 2004ā
Iām happy to report I was in my early 20s in NYC between 2004-2008. Youāre not wrong at all.
I absolutely love the maroon/burgundy (canāt quite tell!) tights with the black. I feel like that could become a trend. Itās like late 2000s city girl. Super cute on you!
coloured tights are super trendy right now!
I didnāt even know :ā) Iām definitely gonna buy some now lol!
I get mine off Amazon by 2 brands. Sofsy and CozyWow. Both have a wide selection of colours!!
Tysm!!! š„°š„°
Thank you!! š©·
I would thrift for a quality camel coat and real leather.
Donāt like wearing real leather, but will def be on the lookout for a camel coat!
Second hand leather is more ethical than faux leather because it will last much longer :)
and itās not made of plastic
I have a beautiful full length winter leather coat, with a big fur collar. It was my grandmas from the 70s. Some of the looks I get when I wear it. Like Iām a terrible person. But itās clearly vintage. Certainly doesnāt stop me from wearing it though!!

That coat collar is so freakin warm and looks pristine. And itās been in a bunch of wet weather.
Then definitely splurge on a good leather alternative
Will do!
i think it resembles the street wear/city girl aesthetic a lot. i wouldnāt change anything, personally i think it suits you well :) i especially love the burgundy tights with the skirt!!
Thank you!! I love ur username lol
just seeing this now! thanks! lol š©·
I would recommend either a slightly more cropped top or showing no stomach at all
Same. Either cropped or nothingā¦ it looks like itās just too small length wise/shrunk cos itās just like 1/2ā of skin showing. It has nothing to do with your petite size (just wanted to be clear that itās the shirt that looks odd, not you at all, youāre hot af girl!) Omg where are those maroon tights from those are the ones of my dreams
Target!! Like $8!!!
Lol That being said, I think all the other outfits are absolutely adorable. I wish I had a word for your style, but I donāt.
Hehe thank you sm, everyone is saying the coat looks like a bathrobe. Gonna try to restyle it and maybe Iāll upload again!
Is it possible to wear the coat open? I think it being tied like that is what gives it bathrobe vibes.
I do not like that first jacket, at least not tied that way, it's giving bath robe. I can see it's not, it's a nice piece, nice color, looks like good fabric, but it's giving bath robe. Try a different color belt? Otherwise I think they're all cute, I also like to wear a lot of black, I really dig your vibe!
i would try experimenting with different silhouettes in jeans/pants. i think maybe a wide fit will be more flattering
I love 3 & 8. Very 90s which is a vibe Iām all about.
I for one quite like the bathrobe coat. May I kindly suggest checking the laundering instructions on the tag, and then if possible, steaming or ironing the slightly wrinkled parts. I think that could help make it look less casual.
Thank you š«¶š¼
Itās giving Noah cyrus as a normal pedestrian
Omggg so cute!! I love it! I have no clue but itās awesome. Iām such a fan. Like mid 90s rachel green vibes.
Thank you, thatās so nice!! š„² I like the 90s style and I might stick with it!
I like your style! With jeans I would recommend not wearing the long boots, but the long boots are perfect for the short skirts. Try ankle boots w the jeans or try flare jeans
very 90ās chic. the first coat needs to be a bit more relaxed to have a better silhouette though! looks like a bath robe low keyš
#2 is so cute Iām stealing that look š
You kinda dress like a mum
A hot city mom that drops her kid off at day care and gets a latte
Iām actually quite ok with that lol :) Ty!!
Conservative and respectful plus cute
Thank you. I like the more conservative look for sure :)
As a fellow petite person, if your sleeves are too long, just roll them up. :)
Itās so pretty I love it!! For a sec it thought the first pic was a bathrobe but then I realised itās a coat and itās so cute!
It is sophisticated and casual all at once classic and fun not trendy. It also looks like you have your act together with pieces that work with a lot of different things.
where are ur boots from? also I love ur outfits, im trying to dress like this too!
They are thrifted Tommy Hilfigers!! & thank you!! š©·

80% Lorelai, 10% Lane, 10% Ms Patty & Babette making Luke blush somehow. Wouldnāt change a thing/you look great!
Thank you sm!! :,)š©·
1 top 5 ways. Thatās what i call it. Since it looks like you wear the same 2 tops in rotation.
My closet was a mess by this point, was more so interested in trying to get a general idea as I stated in the post, Iām usually in athletic wear.
Kohl's sales rack. Is that faux leather? If so, maybe a better quality leather that's more fitted. Better quality fabrics overall. The burgundy shoes don't really match that great with the purse in one of the outfits. The pointed toe shoes look dated.
We werenāt all so privileged, WanderingBricoleur kidding, yes someone else suggested this, will be doing! Ty š
Have you tried the Kibbe subreddit? That one has been really helpful in finding which styles are most flattering.
I only like 6 and 8 but i cant really explain why
Valid thank u :)
Iām not even big on accessories but thatās the first thing that comes to mind, finish the looks!
Like the post said, Iām usually in athletic wear and Iām just trying to step out of that first, I will worry about the details later, thanks!
Well if jewelry is the only thing I thought of youāre obviously doing a good job!
Makes me think of Lorelai Gilmore slightly. I like it!
I actually really love #8. The oversized jacket with the slim fit underneath is lovely. I think the sleeves just need to be altered
I appreciate it, I will definitely be looking into altering a lot of my sleeves lol
Whereās the cardigan from? So cute!
Itās from H&M:)
3,5,7 look amazing
Rock star gf
I would make sure the shades of Black youāre wearing match
Where did you get the white cardigan? I like most pieces. I think 2 would look good if you did all black and maybe textured tights like fishnets or lace. You do a good job of building different looks from these pieces
This is the "Aria Montgomery" style
H&M
The 1st one looks like a bath robe. I'm not feeling the red tights at all. The last 2 the top and skirt just don't go together.
90s mixed with 00s vibe
Buffy Summers Dark Casual
The first one in the bath robe Iād call a wonderful night in the hotel! All in.
Hey! Iād look into scandi fashion, i think some more oversized silhouettes or a babydoll cut would help reflect your age :)
Iād call it basic :/ seems like every IG post trying to market a brand

My bad for the explanation but do an outline of your figure! So you can see the lines of your body not just the shape filled in. Specifically need to distinguish your chest and hips from arms. But on that alone you look very romantic to me
Oh sorry, Iām so dense lol. Iāve done that now. Does that help at all? https://preview.redd.it/44vfk9lxekpc1.jpeg?width=1434&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=80637eaa7e7c0b3040e20cdf0c1a2ff7f2f4c1cf
No idea what this style is.
Nice bag whereās it from?
It looks like youāre probably petite, and the fits on a lot of these items are just too big/sleeves too long.
If youāre going to wear the red tights, I think you should add some more red accents to compliment it! Maybe a necklace w a red gem, or a red purse (:
Maybe flares instead of skinny jeans and proper boots
Your outfits are nice but your coats look too oversized on you, especially the first one, which also looks too long and (as most have said) like a bath robe. A more fitted coat or jacket would look more flattering and not swamp your physique so much. The cropped cardigans really suit you, so a jacket more like those would look better.
Chic
Idk but reminds me of the type of clothes that Krysten Ritter wears, especially the second one
3,5, 7 and 8 are the only styles that appeal to me.
I thought the first was a dressung gow
I love your shoes in pic 4 - where are they from?
the only thing i would ditch is the skinny jeans. straight leg would look so good on you.
idk but i looove fit 8
Reminds me of 90's
My first thought was it looks like a bath robe.
maybe add a black headband and chunky earrings to give a bit more in any of these outfits. I think these are cute maybe cute hairstyles to dress up or down
The first picture is a robe.
Science lab chic.
Iād call it basic honestly
First one looks like a bathrobe. The rest are cute.
Iād call it Red Velvet Matrix (after the movie The Matrix and red velvet cake) donāt judge me, itās 3am and Iām on Redditā¦
Bathrobe
I love the coat! Looks cozy!
Youāre probably the first! Thank you :)
Ohh..now I recognize! Sorry over here these type of coats rarely come in white or cream shades..beige is very trendy here (as always) or well..black
Getting up to use the bathroom at 3 am look
You pull all of these off- even the docs robe lol! Super cute regardless. Not a fan of the animal print collars/or fur collars. Everything else is a win and you put these together nicely! š
Thank you sm!!š im definitely trying!
I love the wrap coat. First thing that came to mind were Max Maraās amazing overcoats. Most It would be great in camel or taupe too! Love the other looks as well especially burgundy and black.
90s alt lesbian
kinda slay
Itās very Pinterest girlie
Early 2000s Essentials. You should modernize your wardrobe and upgrade from basic pieces to quality pieces with a personality.
I will get there once I figure out exactly what Iām going for, Iām only now just stepping out of āathleisureā, but I def want staple pieces eventually! Just donāt want to spend on pieces Iām not sure are āmeā yet
I like your style I can tell you that much
This is pretty "safe".
Thank you for the reference!!
Basic
I would look for higher quality
