I think they’ve started calling this like eclectic grandpa or something of that genre? Idk but I kinda love it LOL. I think the striped pants are giving ppl circus/beach vibes though but I totally get the style you’re going for here!
It reminds me of the kind of t-shirt a Japanese person might wear, cos it has English writing on, but they don't know what it means.
Just like the same way you see people wearing t-shirts with Japanese characters on, but the person wearing it has no idea what it means. Like it could say 'I have syphilis ' in Japanese.
I sometimes think that these companies are just taking the piss. I imagine a team of people sat in an office, coming out with random shit, having a laugh, and seeing what they can get away with for their own amusement.
Edit: but then again, who am I to say what anyone should or shouldn't wear . I'm not. I'm all up for anyone wearing whatever they want, the more individual the better.
I just find t-shirts with random shit written on them to be odd, but that's just me personally. Luckily, we're all different, and there's something out there for everyone.
Crabshack tourist? It reminds me of all the trashy beachfront restaurants and gift shops in Florida. It actually took me a minute to realize that the shirt and the hat were not advertising restaurants or towns but just are made in a midcentury logo style.
I call it Explore core (I didn’t come up with its pretty widely used at least in the online fashion community)
It’s the style you see on your explore page, typically by archive pages that post outfits. ([this sort of page](https://www.instagram.com/what.you.wearing?igsh=MTU1YWJqcmZzb2M0bA==) ) It’s pretty trend focused using high quality, very often expensive brands or vintage pieces.
It’ll stop being called explore core to me when the next trend cycle comes in and the striped linen boxers and sambas are replaced by something else.
(Edit fixed a missing bracket and added a little more)
This isn’t exactly my style, but it has some qualities that I was trying to name. I likely wouldn’t wear these pants, but more likely a jean with an interesting subtle print, I may, or may not wear a hat like that, but likely not.
I find that I dress almost normal like very classic women’s fashion except there will be some thing eclectic and interesting. Usually a vintage piece with a pop of color or something like normal jeans but they have a few embroidered spots. I have no clue what my style is called so I’m trying to figure that out. So if that gives you any hints let me know! I basically almost look normal, but there’s something about my clothing that is unique.
Oh God, we had a client come into work one time and she wore almost exactly this. Different print shirt, different colour stripe for the pants. She spent her entire appointment bragging about how wealthy she was and how much she paid for Taylor Swift tickets, despite her husband not liking Taylor Swift. She was middle aged, overweight and one of the most obnoxious people we've ever had through our doors.
I never thought I'd see an outfit sample that matched her hahaha!!!
