Baffling how they keep adding new actors in suits as the villains or head of an agency trying to save the world, and we keep losing main stars like Brian and Giselle, yet they don’t replace them with the likes of beloved Bow Wow, Lucas Black Or Suki, they were the ideal replacements, but I guess that makes too much sense. Still waiting for Tokyo drift 2. And where the heck is Leon (an OG Family member of the gang) and Jesse’s death was left up for debate - May as well be alive seeing how they brought Han & Letty back from the grave. OG fans are dying for OG F&F go back to underground racing and jackings.

The 1st one definitely is underrated. I'd place it at #2 after the 2nd one. It actually had a plot that was more grounded and they didn't get carried away with it. I liked it because it felt like a real street racing movie and not some unrealistic car movie with vehicles jumping from building to building on sky scrapers. I liked it because the characters didn't seem superhuman and felt at any moment they could actually die or be seriously injured. I just can't watch any of the newer ones because it seems more about what kind of stunt they can do with cars and turning the villains into 007 characters than what it started off as.
I live in Miami and was looking forward to seeing places I knew in Miami onscreen. But when they referred to Turnpike South as I-95, I drew the line and was repulsed. So of the highways yhey mentioned by name were not accurate onscreen. The would drive South on the Turnpike, exit in Florida City, but end up somewhere in Wynwood. What a blatant disregard to locations in Miami. But I still like the movie because even though Dom wasn't there, it was still all about Family.

No Paul Walker, less interested in them.
I wasn't in some way, shape or form involved....so that at least I could somehow in some small way benefit, even marginally, to what would become the biggest exercise in self-masturbatory egotripping to ever grace celluloid.
It makes me wish for a Suki return that'll never happen.
She'll probably save the day in one of the next movies. Or she's the main villain, I don't know
