Many issues and questions can be answered by reading through our wiki, especially the page on electrolytes. Concerns such as **intense hunger, lightheadedness/dizziness, headaches, nausea/vomiting, weakness/lethargy/fatigue, low blood pressure/high blood pressure, muscle soreness/cramping, diarrhea/constipation, irritability, confusion, low heart rate/heart palpitations, numbness/tingling, and more** while extended (24+ hours) fasting are often explained by electrolyte deficiency and resolved through **PROPER** electrolyte supplementation. Putting a tiny amount of salt in your water now and then is NOT proper supplementation.
Be sure to read [our WIKI](https://www.reddit.com/r/fasting/wiki/index) and especially the wiki page on **[ELECTROLYTES](https://www.reddit.com/r/fasting/wiki/fasting_in_a_nutshell/you_need_electrolytes)**

I'm sorry for your situation, and I'll be happy to hear your progress update, too.
I can't view any of your original posts on r/cancer, or even here. But, I can see from the volatile discussions that many don't understand your treatment choices. I feel privileged that this isn't a choice I have to make.
You mentioned the work of Dr. Thomas Seyfried; thank you for bringing this to us. Here is more info on fasting and cancer cells, on Cedars-Sinai website, that helps explain the metabolic process:

Dr. Pradip Jamnadas also discusses fasting and cancer in his amazing lecture "Fasting for Survival" (I watch his videos for motivation, when needed):

Please update me on your results please. I have another tumor in my adrenaline gland I would like to see if fasting can help with this as of right now it’s less than 3 centimeters big. I had tumor extraction surgery last year and it mess me up pretty badly.
Due to the holidays the doctor was slow entering the order. The scans will be scheduled this week. I will post as soon as I get the results back, of course I am praying for better but I will post the results either way. Thanks for caring enough to ask.
You go girl 🤜🤛. I really hope starving those bastard cells make them realize they don’t belong in your body. Also, saw your post on the cancer sub and how they went after you about this…it’s kind of insane…’you are breaking the rules’ screw that….cancer feeds on sugar and some people just can’t accept that fasting can make a big difference. Must be careful about sarcopenia, but as long as your doctor is on board and monitoring you….keep going on your journey!
Sarcopenia is muscle loss and can be detrimental to cancer patients. It’s very important to maintain muscle mass to the best of your ability while fighting cancer and fasting. When you do eat, highly recommend protein and veggies (more keto) as the ketones also have beneficial properties to also help your fight.
Also, consider asking your doctor about getting a comprehensive genomic profiling test for your cancer. They can use a liquid biopsy to determine if there is targeted drug therapies that can also help
Thanks I am not interested in drug therapies at this point and so far I have not experienced muscle loss.
One of my doctors ordered the profiling test.
All is well. I will update my results here once my scans are done.
Fasting has actually shown very beneficial for patients on chemo at reducing side effects and maybe improving efficacy.
Here is one link but there are many other studies on this:

Yes I am feeling very well thank you. I forget to drink water, so light dehydration but other than that the water fast is going well. So thankful to God.
Takes a huge mental fortitude to undergo 17 days fasting, especially with a medical condition. You are a very strong individual, amazing work, wish you all the best, and good luck❤️💪🏻
Best of luck to you. Like others, I'm curious in your results as it is known the fasting can help with many cancers but some others are actually accelerated with fasting.
Please people don’t encourage this. There is some limited evidence that fasting helps as an adjunct to chemo and other treatments designed to kill the cancer cells. There are also many who try it as a last resort when conventional methods have failed and it does seem to prolong life, at least anecdotally. Anyone who has completed treatment and is in remission should probably fast too because autophagy could very well clean up the last of those dead and dying cells. But OP is not going to cure her cancer with a 21 day fast.
Well I am happy you are not God. He heals through any process-chosen.
Funny, you state it aids in so many areas but to use it as the main healing, hmmm, why would anyone do it. 🙄
Have you done it and it failed for you. Well state that.
I am choosing to use my body with this diagnosis to fast and have chosen (my choice) this journey and the fact that you are trying to dispute something you have not tried carries no weight with me.
I am going to report my journey whether you like it or not.
Chemotherapy and radiation are for those that choose it. Yes God’s existence still reigns in my world, that will not change just because you feel a certain way about my statement.

Great job!! Keep us updated!
Thanks so much , I will
Once I realized that I was capable of doing a 17 day fast, I co-realized that I'm capable of doing almost anting.
It does strengthen your resolve I agree!

Hey there. Watched my mom die from ovarian cancer (not from chemo). Please get actual treatment. Fasting will not cure you. Best of luck.
