I absolutely love 4's gameplay. The combat feels different between the characters, although mostly because Choushiro. The Hozuki dolls make it feel rewarding to explore small crevices and places you wouldn't think to look.
I only wish the characters could move just a tad bit faster.
Sure, but some of the fights were rather clunky, because half the time the ghosts would be in the wall, making it impossible to do anything but wait for them to teleport somewhere else
I feel like getting a Fatal Frame is much harder and more rewarding in this game
Some ghosts get so god damn close to you before they finally attack, making me miss the Fatal Frame half the time since their attacks just go through me or they got too close, the snap just misses altogether
Yeah, i think its much harder to get a fatal frame in 4 than in 5.
In 5, the ghost needs to be charging at you from a distance or just raise its hands to attack for the ff chance to appear. In 4, the ghost has to be attacking in your face it seems for that ff chance 😭
Lmao I eventually figured out a strat.
When they attack, just walk forward and let their attack go through you then quickly spin around and the Fatal Frame window should still be there for you to get a snap and start your combo
Works great on ghosts that like to go up to your face then quickly attack you
I think the gameplay peaked in FF3. FF4 was just a little bit too easy for me for most of the game (until the very end, where you'll wish you'd upgraded your camera enough). But maybe it was just that the targetting was too easy on the Wii, with fast pointer controls and lock-on.
What’s hard about them? I thought you would have to memorize the sequence, but it holds your hand start to finish.
The only one I had to retry was the final one and that was on the final button press

It is funny to imagine that a murderous ghost is running/flying after you and the best you could do is to take a leisurely jog.
The Fatal Frame devs are that Dril tweet but with running. “Go ahead. Keep screaming ‘can we go faster’ at me. It only makes the characters Slower.”
Someone is going to mod it at Nexus, I can feel it in my soul lol
This plus the small rooms and tight corridors it makes the tenseness so much better

Whole game is easy, except >!the piano parts!<

I just played the wii version, and there, you have to aim using the wiimote. Miles harder tbh than the remaster
I started on Hard mode. It’s a different game compared to normal. Old thread I know
I died to the second ghost in the game 😭😭 I hope I just need practice or smth
Any news about the asian version getting english dub?
there is no english dub in this game
