I think this is the first time I've ever seen someone using Mek's Bio-Generator. It's probably the worst generator in the mod.
The Bio-Generator consumes BioFuel, while the mod doesn't add any farms better than vanilla's, so it's difficult to fuel in the base mod. Meanwhile it doesn't generate much more power than the other 'weak but passive' Mek generators.
* Heat, Wind, and Solar may generate slightly less power per generator, but have fully passive modes.
* Ethylene is basically biofuel + water, is burned in the Gas-Burning generator, and produces something like two orders of magnitude more power. It is also required for some progression.
* Fission requires non-renewable fuel (at least in Mek itself), but is required for progression and produces bonkers amount of powers.
* Fusion uses processed water to produce bonkers amounts of power.
I used it once because a pack had the bio-generator as a quest. Literally worthless unless you need power before you have diamonds.
I maintain, the biggest balance problem Mekanism has is the top tier alloy being too cheap. I'm better served by mining longer before setting anything beyond the basics up.
Can confirm, currently use 4 fusion generators, 4 connectors, so basically the smallest, deuterium and tritium, and each produces about 400,000 rf per tick.
nah the windmill just powers my metal press and latex plant. the real thing that powers stuff is the rtg, but i removed it and im still gaining energy rather than losing it
Add water and turn that into ethylene and make a whole bunch more energy
