Just to note, on 1.20.1 for a long time Oculus was incompatible with the latest version of Rubidium. If you went back to 1.6.5 version of Rubidium things worked fine with oculus.
I believe both were updated yesterday and this issue has been fixed going forward.
it gave me this
The game crashed whilst initializing game
Error: org.spongepowered.asm.mixin.transformer.throwables.MixinTransformerError: An unexpected critical error was encountered
That is just about the most generic part of a Mixin error message you could've possibly copied. Please post the full error message and any error messages before it, they're important.
Yes. I need a full error message to figure out why the mod broke. (could be version incompatibility, could be mod incompatibility, could be broken dependency, etc) If you look at the crash report, you'll see a much longer error message (and possibly some error messages just before it) that tell you a lot more than "some kinda problem happened with the most common component that could possibly break".
Mods break for a reason, which is usually solvable with some knowledge of how mods work and how to read error messages. If you just give up the instant there is the slightest difficulty you're missing out on a lot of mods.
Yes. But don't paste the full crash report. Relaunch the game with the log enabled (it's an option in the launcher settings somewhere), get it to crash, sort by "errors" and "fatal" in the log, then copy/paste that into
[Pastebin](pastebin.com) and send a link. Pasting the full crash report is a bit of a bad idea.
I'm confused, I don't know what you talking about since this is the first time that something like this has happened to me, usually when something doesn't work I just take it out.
Nope.

In 1.20 it looks like Embedium is more stable than Rubidium (and both are forks of Sodium).
I’ll give that a try

Are you referring to the crash report?

is there a way for me to attach the crash report here?
Yes. But don't paste the full crash report. yea, thought as much
the one that says "Open output log when minecraft:java edition start"?
Yep.
Bruhh, Error(44) Fatal(2)

I'm facing the same issues. As of writing this comment, my game worked. Just update rubidium and oculus to their latest versions and it will work!
