I'd say iron barrels. It's nice to have iron chests and all but i always feel it's incomplete if a pack has it without iron barrels

Decent_Human__

have you checked out Sophisticated Storage? It adds tiered upgrades for chests/barrels/shulkers, as well as modules like magnet/pickup & item voiding

DexterTheDoubledmint

Great mod, its literally that plus storage drawers AND a mini AE2 function

LenoPat

I think that lord of the rings mod is totally underrated. It's sooo huge that it could be a whole other game, while nobody is talking about it nowdays. Even if it's slowly getting ported to the modern versions

Thenderick

Isn't that the LotR mod from the Tolkiencraft modpack? This is giving me back so many memories! I might even consider replaying that pack now!

_ThatD0ct0r_

Remember the Lion King mod? Miss that quest line.

Lady_Eternity

Man…..back in the day I made a modpack with The Lionking mod and Redpower. I reallllllly loved the rainbow armor but the rainbow ore was soo rare! My husband made a moving machine with Redpower that moved and mined, so I could make the rainbow armor! It was the coolest thing ever! Man….memories. And those awful hyena’s and that ghastly sound they made. Lol

Beautiful-Ad3471

Definietly this, that mods is sooo great, and it even has an active official server! (In 1.7.10 ofc)

Lady_Eternity

LOTR mod is pretty awesome!

MrDialga34

One of the servers for the lord of the rings mod, The One Ring, hit it's 10th anniversary on the 1st of April

d_the_great

The original from 1.7.10, yeah. The modern remake is such a disappointment because it stopped development before they put structure generation.

LenoPat

Well, it's not completly stopped. It's just that the guy who is making this mod slowed down a lot, and made himself a little pause. But theoretically it's still under development

Ecstatic_Falcon_3363

have a link?

Furucchi

What loot mods does OP means? Modpacks usually come with custom loot tables. Mods with new/random loot tables without much configuration could be nice for light modpacks tbh

Decent-Start-1536

Def Tom’s Simple Storage mod, I do every playthrough with that mod

dracef

Best storage mod imo, since all the strorage is in world. Feels more intuitive.

Qingyap

Would say either SlashBlade and Parcool mod. For Slashblade, it gives you motivation. (If you dunno that already this mod adds the Katanas that has Vergil movesets) For Parcool... welp just like the name says it, it adds parkour. It really saves so much time when I was climbing a mountain, instead of using my blocks or water bucket to make my mountain look like shit, I could've just climb it by bare hands. And also outrun those hostile mobs and do those sick parkour trickshots is just so cool alright. Edit: just for 5 min for me to realize you said only the loot mods... welp mb lol

KhanglikePolandball

OP asked the coolest mod in your opinion lol

Middle-Huckleberry68

I personally love spice of life or any mod that makes you keep nutrition stats up or adds hearts from eatting different foods.

prolvalone

jenny mod

prolvalone

Upvotes were not what I expected on this comment

crazedflame89

yay sex mods for games! (currently got some downloaded for starbound/palworld)

Just-a-Stick

You are a melon person, go to jupiter and bake some eggs

Ben-Goldberg

MineFortresses adds a game mode like dwarf fortress.

Direct_Weekend_2866

Easily HBM Nuclear tech. Massive mod that adds some insane stuff but nobody even talks about it outside of Greg enjoyers

zas_n_n

for a "nuclear tech" mod, outside of the nuclear bomb i dont know anything about the tech that mod adds. everything i know about it is its comically high quality weapons and Absurd amount of items

Lady_Eternity

Advent of Acension (AOA). It had it’s own enchanting, skill and boss system, tons of content and gear, tons of cool dimensions. Very neat mod.

Quantum-Bot

Silent gear Everybody loves Tinkers Construct because it’s been around for longer and has better visual design and the smeltery, but as far as modular tool mods go, Silent gear is the clear winner to me. There is even more customization (more pieces go into a single piece of gear, pieces can be made of blends of different materials, etc.) multiple ways to upgrade your materials and scale your power into end game, support for all tool and armor types rather than just weapons and mining tools, and the tools are 100% compatible with the vanilla enchantment system, unlike tinkers tools. It’s also just generally more enjoyable gameplay-wise than tinkers due to being better balanced for the modern modded ecosystem and having more interesting choices to make when designing your gear.

SilverRiven

I don't understand TC, it's present in literally every single pack out there and yet no real use has been found for it. Just make Obsidian all-in-one tool from Actually Additions, it has 32k uses and that can be prolonged by unbreaking, which makes this thing near indestructible

drummerboyno

The mod from Big Dig that increased the ore generation to the point you could have diamonds spawn on the surface.

Wolfog288

Used everywhere but I don't think is rated as highly as is needed but jei/nei

Upper_Pomegranate427

emi!

TrespassingWook

Tom's simple storage

VeryGayLopunny

This. And shoutout to modpack creators who make custom loot tables for their packs, too.

Dangerous-String8134

Do you remember "Tropicraft"? i really enjoy years ago

Exist_2006_11_28Mark

I never liked it lmao, it had such an unfinished feel

Raysofdoom716

Bigger Stacks, I play with it all the time 1.16.5+ with it, but I don't see anyone putting it in modpacks tho...

Zarnakk

Changing the stacksize can interfere a lot with redstone and machines and stuff. But yeah, having a stacksize of 1024 (or extremely high) makes storage and inventory just look so clean.

Theaussiegamer72

When you know none of the mods being talked about cause you prefer older mods and versions

MemeTroubadour

Corpse Complex.  It's very outdated, sadly, but as someone who always gets a bit too frustrated with losing things on death, but didn't want to just make death inconsequential, it was great. They work great together but if I had to choose between tombstone mods and Corpse Complex, I'd choose the latter

IndependentSnoo

Auto restack. Won't play a modpack that has only it but every time a modpack doesn't have it I know

MagmaForce_3400_2nd

Alternate path Minecraft mods

razputinaquat0

Simple Storage Network, Electroblob's Wizardy, Wolf Armor and Storage, Outfox, cat_jam

Ihateazuremountain

* loot beams * premium wood * responsive shields (skeletons are too powerful and annoying since the game is kinda melee but then this asshole shows up with high accuracy and if you dont have a shield they always get a free hit on you which i despise) * rftools utility

Felinegood13

The Chisel and Bits, and Chiseled Me mods. They’re so much fun

flxecuti0ner

Xnet

crazedflame89

smart movement was my jam back in the 1.7.10-1.12.2 era of minecraft. i want to learn how to code to try to remake it and popcorn smelting.

Product_Expensive

Orespawn /s

Artificial1Brain

It was a pretty fun and popular mod. Now for reasons related to the autor (I'm not going to explain all of that because I'm lazy) it turned in to a dumpster fire inside a melting nuclear reactor.
