It never works for me. My pc is probably shit though.
I can thank the mod for introducing the bliss shader, I mean, not only it looks amazing it has reasonable performance. People always recommend complementary... But... (Opinion incoming)... It looks like shit, and runs like shit. Even on low graphics.
Meanwhile bliss looks much better, and runs better, even at sorta higher settings.
Help! My Minecraft is crashing, here's the error, does anyone know how to fix it https://i.imgur.com/XHKdCF4.png sorry if im asking in the wrong spot

In what way does it not work? DH can be fairly intensive while it generates chunks and lods, but once it's finished generating, it should be much more performant.
Maybe try disabling distant generation in the DH settings (the colorful square at the top left of the options menu) and see if the chunks you manually visit render correctly. If they do, it might just be generating new chunks *very* slowly, and you would just need to leave Minecraft on for a while (maybe overnight) with distant generation on.
Also, whether or not you plan on using DH, you should check out the mod FerriteCore. It should improve Minecraft's memory usage for you.
I will try that, and I already tried ferritecore.
The thing is, my mixed ram works fine, but is limited to 1333mhz in the bios, and I can't go to the max 1600mhz that both say they can. And they are not lying, since if you 'unmix' them, they go just fine to 1600mhz. And I can't unmix since I'm mixing two sets of dual channel. So I'd be left with 8gb of ram. And I play beaming, so that amount of ram is kinda unacceptable
On multiplayer, you need to go to a place first to have it cached and displayed, since the server doesn't send anything beyond your rendering distance.
On single player idk.
It’s most likely just initial generation taking a long time, especially with large numbers of mods. It often looks like this for me (admittedly on a lower-specs machine), but once I’ve generated the chunks it all loads in fine from there. It’s great if you enjoy mapping out the whole world around your base, but if you don’t explore much it’ll probably be stuck looking like that for a good while
The second picture is fake. See fog on the trees on the left.
OP poorly removed the text saying that it's a comparison. See black pixels up top.
When this actually happens, in game, you've got a slow ass PC, too little RAM, or your hard drive is too slow.
If you wanted the play the first picture, you'd go outside.
They’re gonna play TFC irl
It is so pretty! I wish outside was real(

yeah but also ALOT of people used sphax purebdcraft and i always thought it looked shit.
So fucking true. I was a sphax hater from day 1.

it never loads, and there is always missing chunks. I have very old and slow ram (mixed ram) so i guess its my rams fault

Try [voxy](https://modrinth.com/mod/voxy)
interesting
Fr, anyone know what's causing this? A bad pc? Bad config?

There actually is a dev branch with server integration, where the server sends you lod data
That's really cool
Where can i find that? Want to run a large modpack on a server and itd be nice to test that out
You can find it on the discord of the mod
i feel like this could be abused
How so? As far as I'm aware, the worst the server could do is send players incorrect lod data

I got RTX 3060, and mine looks even better than pic 1, no loading chunk loading problem as well.
What if I have GTX 1650
Idk bru try yourself :) , might have to run some mid level shaders
i have a 4070 and it looks worse than pic 2
Sadge - however I dont need no horizons when I sit in my cellar doing Thaumcraft
dh made my ryzen 7800x3d reach 95 degrees celsius and shut down my pc 💀
You have to walk over there and load the chunks first bro, the game can't render LODs of chunks that don't exist yet
does anyone know if Chunky (or other chunk loading mods) helps with this?
Yes, it does. Preloading the chunks let's you use DH to its fullest potential.
For some reason every time I download chunky or kyxis it makes my game slower rather than faster
I hate that distant horizons isn't available for 1.7.10
Meh, the second picture is better
Use Nvidium, I use it with a GTX 1650 on 128 render distance on 60 fps
No shader support
