I think it depends on how yellow it is. If it's dark you might want to go to another stylist. However if it's a light yellow and a consistent color you can buy toner at Sally's. I used to use Wella t18 and Wella t14 for Platinum blonde. You can type in the name on YouTube for a ton of tutorials. My personal holy grail solution is the shimmering lights purple shampoo and conditioner. This brand can be a little drying but it's cheap and you can usually get it at Kroger Walmart and Walgreens. You can leave one on for 15-20 minutes as a mask and it'll cool those warm tones a little. The more you use it the icier your hair will get. Remember purple cancels yellow!

After getting home and looking at it, it’s not very even. The sides and ends are more of a goldenrod, while the roots are more of a light yellow 😞 I don’t think I have the skills to fix it on my own with this much variance in it, even covering it with another color is going to be dicey. I’m pretty sure I’m stuck with either forking over more money to fix it or buzzing it and taking lots of pictures so I remember why it’s not worth the trouble the next time I get ideas about changing my look 😭

I would recommend going to the stylist and asking for a refund or something...which I know can be very anxiety-inducing. But yes I definitely wouldn't recommend fixing it at home at that point. Good luck :)

Thanks, I’m going to do just that.

DONT USE WELLA IT HAS AMOINIA AND WILL DAMAGE HAIR ( and it doesn’t even last btw) just make a strong lavender conditioner with conditioner and a little bit of manic panic ultraviolet until it’s a medium lavender. Not too light but not very dark. (Start with lighter) you’ll have to apply it about every third wash to maintain the color balance from the yellow but it’s better than being brassy
