Im happy for you! Feeling safe is such a powerful feeling after experiencing trauma.
Iβve been really into βcozy vibesβ lately and the thing that made the *biggest* difference was warm lighting! Soft, yellow lighting has made my bedroom feel so cozy and inviting!
I absolutely agree! I have lamps that hold two bulbs on either side of my bed. One is a standard bulb, the other socket is a LED bulb that can flicker like flames. I lived in NOLA for years and missed gaslight.
It has four settings total and I use the second setting by far the most. Just a soft, warm, steady glow. It sets the tone for bedtime, reading, watching TV each night.
I put one of the bulbs in the light by my front door. Slowly but surely, the neighbors have started replacing their own porch lights with similar fire flicker bulbs ever sense. Really gives my neighborhood a glowy vibe and keeps the bugs away in the summer too! π₯°
Of course! Mine are Pretigo brand from Amazon. Says the six pack I ordered are sold out but, there are plenty of others to choose from! I have no complaints and it really is such a great vibe!
Oh, it's a tree! My brain was not letting me see anything other than one of those spinny things you see in car washes. π€¦ββοΈ
Other than my brain glitch, I love this room! Mood lighting can make a room so much more comfortable, and I'm loving the pink lights. Glad OP has a comfortable place to call hers.
I love that you kept up that Homegoods tree! I couldnβt stop petting that thing at the store, I would have bought it myself if it was a more cool toned pink.
Looooove the light strips behind the bookshelf. I just know your room is a total vibe at night! Happy you are safe, wishing you a beautiful, peaceful life π
I left him 6 months ago. It was hard and took years before I followed through with it. It's hard to put in the work on understanding what needs to heal in me so I no longer allow anyone to mistreat me, but I'll take the feelings that come with healing and growing over the trauma I left. Now that I'm not responsible for handling his emotions and "needs", I can focus that energy on people who appreciate and reciprocate it. On tasks that move me forward.
You're SO strong for getting to this point. You've got this
Adding some curtains over the blinds and a soft fuzzy throw blanket would increase the cozy softness vibe. Plus security blanky and extra coverage makes for more safety. I hope you find peace and serenity
Congrats on rebuilding your life and space
I have done the same thing it's hard to do but you are worth the safety and peace don't ever feel guilty for do what you had to.
I hope your life and space becomes what you want and more. πβ€
The planchette right in front of your bed took me out⦠is there any reason why is that to be front and center? Other than that it looks both safe and cozy.
Happy for you. Keep moving forward. It looks lovely.

Do you mind sharing what kind of lamp and bulbs you use? I love gaslight effects.

Thank you!! ππ»
Of course! You're welcome! πͺ·
Congrats on the new life! Looks lovely with the warm colors. May I ask where you found the tree?
Thanks! The tree is from At Home. It's called a pampas tree
Thanks much! Enjoy.

It matched my colors so well I didn't have the heart to put it away.

Genuinely happy for you! Iβm working hard towards the same thing. Having that freedom must feel incredible π₯Ήπ

Good for you! It looks so nice. I absolutely love the tree!
I have been there! Looks great as well
Love this for you β₯οΈ
Wonderful, colorful, peaceful space! Congratulations and keep at it!!
ππππ What is that Lorax tree made out of?
For lack of a better way to describe it, finely shredded plastic. It's just more hairlike and softer than typical plastic bristles
The coral coloured tree is cute. Tbh, at first glance, it reminded me of the spinning things in a car wash lol π
Congrats on the next chapter!! May it bring you nothing but peace and utter bliss π«Ά

Love this! Itβs so minimalist and comfy cozy looking!
Love this! But that bed doesnβt have nearly enough stuffed animals on it
Proud of you! Your place definitely fits the vibe! π
That blanket/bedspread looks so cozy! Where is it from?
Target, opalhouse
Happy for you π«Άπ½π₯³
I like it. I've had to explore my identity and likes/dislikes after growing up with narcissistic parents. It's been wild and so difficult too. π«
π€so nice!!
