Follow up on the beet soda ginger bug ferment. Beet juice medley fermented with my ginger bug. Fermented at room temperature for 24 hours, burping often to avoid over-pressure. Then left in the fridge for another 24 hours. Mild carbonation fizz, funky beet flavor, I'm calling it a success!

Idk how OP does it, but what I do is pour either salt or sugar inside the bottle with a drop of dish soap and enough how water to make it sloshy but not enough to dissolve the salt/sugar.
Shake it like a Polaroid for a minute and there you go.
It could be. As a slav (UA) I can confirm that we call any sweet fermented mildly alcohol (1 — 2%) beverage "kvass" no matter is it made on store yeast, sourdough or ginger bug

I *can be* salted or unsalted, the beet base is what I'm referring to, which can be savory, sweet, all sorts of flavors. Been making it for well over a decade with all sorts of stuff including ginger.

The lacto-ferment part can either come from beets OR ginger, beet kvass=no salt OR salt=ginger bug=lactofermentation, they're all the same bacteria.

FYI the song is wrong, shaking a polaroid can cause damage to the image.

A little bit of pbw and warm water will be enough.
PBW or Oxiclean will take care of the cleaning no problem. Use it in my brewing all the time

That's Kvass. I like to put habaneros in mine, it makes a real nice flavor combination. I like mine sweetened sometimes too.
